One of the greatest silent films of all time. Just wonderful. This version has the best soundtrack I've heard for this film, and the Blu-ray transfer is stunning.

If you have ever seen Shadow Of The Vampire, you need to see this. The documentaries included are as amazing as the movie.

    classic

This silent film classic, the first film version of Dracula, shouldn't really be available today, quite ironically. Although director F. W. Murnau gave credit to Bram Stoker's book, he didn't seek permission. This led to Stoker's widow suing him; a case which she won. The German court ordered all copies of the film destroyed, but, somehow, the movie survived & was later shown in both the U.K. & the U.S. Regardless of its illegal status, this is a wonderfully spooky piece even today. Max Schreck's Count is probably the most grotesque-looking vampire in history.

    great movie

I have been a fan of silent movies for years and this is one of my favorites. Nosferatu is much better than some of the modern day vampire movies, which seem to glorify and beautify vampires. Nosferatu is a classic horror movie which tends to make vampires out to be the villans that they should be. My only complaint is that I foolishly bought the shortest version of the movie on DVD. I would highly recommend to any one who is considering this addition to their DVD collection to spend a little extra money and buy one of the longer versions of the movie.

Great piece of cinema history ruined

A classic silent film is ruined by a really awful heavy metal sound track by a second rate band. A movie like this should not stomped on by music that is inappropriate f as well as being just awful. I am still trying to find this classic with the ORIGINAL soundtrack music. The manufacturer of this should be ashamed of what they've done to Murnau's masterwork
