My wife uses this program find it to be very useful planning our house remodels.

Very poor functionality and stops responding continuously, It is not as described. Not worth it.

Great program. Helps you organize your projects and evaluate its look and cost!

It never worked the way they claims and It was returned .

Even though it says it requires Vista on your computer and is supported by Windows 10 it does not.

I would not buy this again, it's very hard to use.

Had to purchase a home design software when our home recently got hit by a storm and we were forced to remodel. This package worked perfectly.

I have worked with computers for many years. I bought this product to get some ideas on a kitchen remodel. Although it wasnt easy to do, it does do the job. I spent several hours doing just one room and that was using the default cabinets, floors, ect.. If you want to change those you have to do each cabinet seperately, I cant imagine doing all that work. Also had trouble splitting the floors into two sections. It has mostly ended up being a floor plan. A little bit of buyers remorse here...

This software is great! I found that using it takes a little time to figure out but it comes with a giant book. There are tons of options for cabinets and countertops. I already use adobe products and so digging through menus to figure out how to do things is no big deal. Considering the price of the software it really is an excellent package. The most important thing is that it is letting me see what I think I can do with real measurements. That is the reason I purchased it, and it has been GREAT

Box states there are 1000s of home plans included. Website states there are 10,000 home plans included. I have searched the help file and throughout the program trying to access these supposed plans. Maybe i am just overlooking it, but i dont know. I did find one example that said you could access them through the home builder wizard, but mine is called house builder wizard, an option for existing plans was not available. so... I went to HGTV website and tried the live chat, once connected and asked what they could do for me, i asked how to access these plans and waited about 5 minutes with no response. so... I called them at the phone number they had listed and selected the "talk to a tech support" option, which, instead of connecting me to tech support, sends me to one of 3 different software vendors websites. (turns out, HGTV really has no way of contacting them at all through this website....nice (sarcasm)) so... went to nova development website and if you want to talk to tech support, well, it will cost you $9.99 for one call, or $19.99 for three calls. What????? so... I try live chat through them. Live chat box pops, tells you to hold on, but doesnt give you an idea where you are at in the que, so after about 8 minutes, someone comes online. I ask my question, and wait another 4 minutes for them to respond. Guess what the answer was..."you will have to call the help desk. so... i leave them some feedback and then go back to HGTV to try and call them and leave them some feedback, i select buy a product option, which then makes you select one of three developers. No way to contact HGTV i appears. I honestly found both homestyler.com (although, use the home builder and not the new beta floor plan module, I am unable to get saved plans to reload in that one) and floorplanner.com easier and more intuitive to use. I imagine if you took the time to learn the product it might be nice, although the 3d grahics i looked at when i loaded one of the sample plans, did not look anything like the picture quality graphics i saw on the box. BOTTOM LINE.... ...Most of the program seemed dated, especially the kitchen wizard which didnt have an island stove or sink option. ...expect no free technical support ...just didnt seem very intuitive ...cant really say much more about the program, since i really didnt take the time needed to learn it. got to upset about everything above, so i will be returning it and just sticking with one of the free options. ....

My wife and I bought the software to play with and mock up designs of what we consider to be our dream home. Difficult to get the hang of at first but once the basic maneuvering of the software was acheived, fun began and possibilities became virtually endless

I purchased this to help remodel my kitchen which has some unusual dimensions and angles. It is very difficult to get the software to do what I want, and sometimes impossible. It took me a long time to find (I had to download additional libraries of appliances) something simple and universal as an under counter dishwasher. Once I put in the dishwasher, I cant put a counter over it! The software does give lots of options with lots of restrictions. It gets very frustrating to work within it's limitations on what it's designers thought we (the consumer) would want it.

My experience with this HGTV software is so bad I will never buy any HGTV product. It constantly crashes or just goes blank. If you get lucky and actually create a simple diagram do not expect it to print. all it prints are blank pages or Microsoft shuts it down becasue of errors. this happens on both my XP sp3 and Windows 7 computers. I have 25 years experience working on computers and this product is TERRIBLE. It seems to me that HGTV has no quality controls or concern for customer satisfaction. this product should be pulled from the shelves.
