As is all too common, this is a sequel which just didn't quite match up to its predecessor. I really enjoyed Now You See Me, despite the fact that the illusions were noticibly CGI-produced. It still had that fun heist-style movie feel, and a few good twists to the story. In NYSM2, there's just something missing (besides Isla Fisher's character). There's a few twists here and there, although I had to roll my eyes at a couple of them (especially one of the reveals of a certain character's true identity). Probably my biggest frustration is how rushed the ending felt, specifically during the buildup to the finale, where it felt like the audience is getting shorted a few scenes of the magicians plying their trade, which is half the fun of this type of film. I hope they bring it back to the spirit if the first film with the next one (as word is they've already started production on it).

The sequel suffers from multiple jumps of logic, too many lead character not getting none of their stories fleshed out, the villian is the same as the last movie and seems less believable. The new female lead has some humor but never shows anything incredible. For being a movie about magicians there was nothing new or magical about the movie. for example, in the original now you see me they have the scene where they are interviewing the lead magician and he incredibly flings off the handcuffs, handcuffs the interviewers and then puts the key inside the can of coke, it was cool, never seen before, and unique. the sequel never does any of that. they show some cool tricks but never show any magic tricks.

I liked this movie, but I thought the first one was much better. Yes, we get many unanswered questions from the first movie addressed, but it lacked the fire the first movie had. I felt the dumb FBI agent was too overdone and the cast wasn’t as congealed as the first. However, it had some wonderful tricks, slight of hand and illusions that fans of magic will appreciate. If you liked the first movie, definitely watch this one, just don’t expect the same wow factor that number one pulled out of the hat.

As a big fan of the first movie, I was excited to be able to see the sequel. While it does retain much of the feel of the first, it's missing that "special" feel that the first one had. The female character has been replaced, and the character played by Daniel Radcliffe is a good addition, although you might not think so at first. We learn a little more of Lionel Shrike's story, and that's a good thing. Overall, I think this is definitely worth seeing. In fact, I think I need to watch it a few more times to pick up the subtleties, and that's why I bought it.

I was hesitant about picking up this after seeing all the negative reviews this summer. I enjoyed the first one a lot so I should have ignored the negativity and watched it anyway. Well I am glad that I bit the bullet and bought. I definitely enjoyed it. Granted the magic was a little more far fetched this time around but if you don't think about the plausibility, much like with the first, it is a well executed movie. So, if you enjoyed the first one, you will more than likely enjoy this one as well.

i collect movies so the only reason for my buying this movie was the steel book case but when it comes to the movie i would recommend to wait until the price drops if you want to buy it. compared to the first one it really lacks the "magic" is not boring but by any means better than the first one like i think is supposed to be.......watch at your own risk don't expect to much or else you will be disappointed if you expect the quality of this movie to be like the first one

Was able to suspend my disbelief just enough to enjoy the first movient (despite HUGE gaping plot holes). This move, not so much. Boderline ridiculous. Heard there is going to be a third movie. Not holding my breath. I did enjoy the Atmos soundtrack, however (my primary motivation for purchasing). For those who are on the fence and have an Atmos system, I would consdier. Otherwise, unless you LOVED the first, skip it.

Not a huge difference from the first flick. Some fun "magic" involved again. If you get repeat enjoyment from Now You See Me, you'll have fun with this, too. For me, watching it once should be fine. The 4K is nice if you have the player and TV, which is why I purchased it. Starting to add 4K titles to my library to take advantage of an Xbox One S and 4K display.

The first "Now You See Me" was a serviceable enough movie but was anyione desperately awaiting tsequel? This sequel isn't awful but it also isn't particularly interesting. The disc itself is very well made with excellent picture quality and sound as well as a fair amount of extras. I would give thefilm a 6 out of 10 but the disc itself would receive a much higher 8.5.

Got this movie after enjoying the first one, but this one isn't as good, imho, and very, very confusing unless you pay very, very close attention - or watch it a second (or third!) time. Not really worth the full price of a Blu-ray disc, but if you can get it at a discount, may be an enjoyable, if confusing, evening's entertainment.

It had its moments. Not as good as the first although I do love the new main girl (Lizzy Caplan). She is quick witted, funny and stunning! Ruffalo was good, Woody was good (better as his twin), I was a little disappointed by Eisenberg but Franco was impressive (more chops than I thought he had). Overall good and excited about the 3rd.

Can you really come up with a better ending than how the first one ended? Once the big reveal has taken place, there’s nowhere left to go. And that’s the issue. At the end of the first movie, a surprise sleeper hit, came the big reveal: FBI agent Dylan Rhodes was behind the whole thing all along. It was a neat twist.

The movie was shot in 3.4k and 4K and then they mastered it in 2k turning this into an upscale. The movie was also not as good as the original has it followed a similar timeline as the original and made it feel predictable. The only thing that saved this movie is the addition of HDR and atmos.

Like many sequels, this one didn't live up to the original. Having Woody Harrelson in a dual role is Woody overkill. And the change in Morgan Freeman's character, from villain to hero, looks too contrived to be believable, not that much in the movie is believable to begin with.

Now You See Me 2 is not as good as the first but it is not bad. An enjoyable popcorn flick. The best thing is the cast with Woody Harrelson and Franco being the standouts. The plot is much more convoluted and twisty than the first. I will probably watch it 2 or 3 times a year.

Was VERY Disappointed Isla Fisher was not in Nor any reference made to why She was not part of the sequel. Maybe I missed it. Movie was Ok. Could've had more magic and less drama in it. The girl that replaced Fisher stunk. Her personality was terrible for the part. Totally off.

I didn't care for the female lead, she was too "over the top" for the horsemen group. Although the movie dug a little deeper into the past of the horsemen's "support" group, I ended up a bit confused about the caper. It keeps you entertained though.

The deal from Best Buy was great but the movie itself was a bit of a let down. Definitely not as good as the first one, not even close for that matter. I did like the new main girl and I actually kind of liked Woody's brother but in general the movie was lacking.

I watched this with my 16 and 10 year old after watching the first one with them. We all agreed it was a fun movie but not as good as the first one. They may have been trying too hard to be clever, Fun though, Just not as good as the first,

This sequel, while not as good as the original never the less has many twists and turns to keep your interest. Most of the original cast is back albeit with two glaring exceptions. Still worth watching & still fun!
