my daughter who has cerebral palsy uses it and she recommended it to me because I m 69 and having problems remembering how to spell, Im currently writing a book about my time in Vietnam and this helps me move it along faster. Being able to just talk and have it written down correctly is making it so much easier for me to put my thoughts down before I forget what I was saying and thinking about and to be able to go back and red it and change the wording so easy is a life saver. A great product! I would recommend it to anyone no matter what age they are and especially for those who are dyslectic like I am sometimes and the handicapped like my daughter it gives her an outlet for her creativity. This is an excellent and flexible tool that I purchased for my freelance writing business as a way to reduce carpal tunnel stress on my wrists and increase my own productivity. Dragon NaturallySpeaking is trainable and intuitive and comes with tutorials built into the program. I am writing this review with Dragon NaturallySpeaking software, and while I still have a little bit left to learn about how the program works I am very pleased with the results so far. I would recommend this product.

Installation was a snap. Out of the box it worked fairly well. Depending on your vocabulary and what types of words you use more often you may have to teach the software of certain words especially homophones. I am taking graduate classes right now and I am not the best typer. I cut the time it took to do a term paper at least in half. Bonus was the included headset.

As soon as I downloaded dragon, it was ready to go. I had purchased the original program and have used it since. Decided to get a newer version and am extremely happy with the program. My first go at it, there were no mistakes. Fantastic program!

Dragon Naturally Speaking 13 fulfills all of its promises. I use it regularly for schoolwork, almost every day. Even with my Southern accent, the software understands me most of the time. It is definitely helping with my annunciation. Haha. As a matter of fact I am using Dragon Naturally Speaking to write this review. I recommend it to students, frequent writers of email, burgeoning writers and anyone who finds typing difficult.

I purchased this for my dyslexic Grand daughter. It is awesome. We weren't sure it would work on her laptop, but it works great. She first started using it for spelling & then dictated a paper for a class. She loves it. And if she loves it, I love it.

Great Product - easy to use. Voice recognition works great head phones and mic work good. - everything translates pretty good.

I had some trouble getting this set up, but once I figured it out it was easy to use. More detailed instructions on getting started would be helpful.

This is the second time I have purchased this product and it is much improved in the last few years. SW learns from your documents and creates an accurate user profile. Works best with MS Word but has modules that can be loaded for other programs.

I say this is a bit hard, only because I'm not that great with technology. The set up process was really easy though. I bought this because I have arthritis in my hands/fingers and typing for more than 10 minutes kills me. It took a while to get used to this, and I had to add several words to it. But hey I used to live overseas and some words just don't exist in the American English dictionary. The instructions and tutorial that come with it are a bit brief. I actually bought a book to help me with it and to use as a desk reference, once again I'm not tech savvy. I've had it about a month now and I'm really getting the hang of it. I'm quite please with it overall.

Love the program, easy to set up and easy to learn. Has quick responses too and the performance of the program is very efficient and compatible with my other programs.

It's a great program to have but the only thing that they neglected to mention at the best buy I did not have a DVD Drive on my laptop and it took some extra steps I had to contact the company and email them a copy of the receipt when I purchase the program for them to validate the program without using a district you should really tell you that before you buy the program but other than that the program is great.

Nuance makes an easy job of installation, and the program is pretty easy to start to use. I would recommend the program for home use. Might make a good tool for the student who has to write papers.

With arthritis in my fingers and wrists, and being a writing major in college, Dragon has saved the day and help me avoid a lot of pain.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13 Home - Windows, This is an easy program to setup. You need to follow instructions and suggestions; this will help you in using the program later.

I think this product does exactly what it says it will do, take dictation. My only challenge - others may find it helpful - is that it tries to integrate into every program I run on my computer. Closing out the prompt to use it when I open, for example, excel or internet explorer, gets a bit annoying. But overall it does take dictation very well.

I like being able to dictate my thoughts into immediate type set format and then edit them accordingly = Great!!!!!!!

I bought this to finish essays quicker and it works as intended. I just wasn;t a fan of the headset it came with.

Am lending my PC to someone so that she can dictate input into Microsoft Word, for my editing. With some tinkering (and no prior Dragon experience), got things set up so that opening Windows automatically opens both Dragon and Word, so that she can start dictating without much fuss ... a very good setup for someone who's not very comfy with PCs. Just what I wanted! Bravo!
