Works really well for smoothies and protein shakes

Followed other reviews and decided on the Ninja. Works very well for mixing/crushing ice and fruit for smoothies. Auto-iQ is a pretty neat feature. It stops and starts multiple times, after only a few seconds, to allow stuff to settle to the bottom and get chopped up by the blades (instead of just spinning around and staying chunky). Works much better than a regular blender, and clean up is easier. Base is pretty heavy and has suction cups on the bottom to keep it in place. This does make it a little cumbersome to move around on the counter if you store it. It is on the upper end of the price scale. Only major drawback to this point is the "loudness" of the unit. It seems REALLY loud, even if not crunching ice. The motor and the blades make a lot of sound. Have used it every day since purchasing. Overall very pleased.

    "ETREMELY POWERFUL! GREAT BLEND SETTINGS"

I really like the basic blend settings: (1) BLEND (regular), (2) ULTRA, (3) PULSE I tend to use the ULTRA Setting most since I use fresh pieces of fruit & ice for a smoothie health drink. PULSE is GREAT as it pauses then changes direction breaking down the chunks, evenly. VERY SHARP TYPE METAL BLADES!! Easy clean up, comes w/(2) blending cups, Lg.& Med. A 3rd.Extra screw on top. Don't overtighten, the threads are strong but plastic. Operation Manuel is easy to understand. Great item, on sale also! Great buy, works perfect. Drink from blending containers per pop top.

Let me start out by saying that this blender is very loud... like a leaf blower in your kitchen loud. But honestly who expects a blender to be quiet?! It is very powerful and blends like a dream, so it doesn't bother me. I had a bullet before this and it wasn't as loud but also was half as powerful, leaving chunks unblended, gross. This Ninja never disappoints... just add your desired food and liquid, screw on the blades lid, put it into the base and turn to click into place, hit the Auto IQ button, and 1 minute later a perfectly blended smoothie awaits you! There are suction cups on the bottom of the unit to hold it in place, probably because its so powerful and vibrates the counter. I love the travel lids also, they do not leak at all, which is awesome. Clean up is a breeze, just rinse and into the dishwasher everything goes. I'm very happy with this blender and cannot wait to try more of the recipes that came with it!

    Great personal blender

Several years ago, I started drinking protein smoothies for my breakfast. I had a shaker bottle that would mix up the ingredients ok, but the powder wouldn’t completely dissolve. I started using an individual shake blender. It worked well, but I still had problems with the powder completely being mixed in. So, I have finally upgraded to a more powerful blender — the Nutri Ninja With Auto-iQ Blender. The blender comes in a Ninja branded box and is packaged securely. It comes with two canisters for blending and storing drinks, two lids for the canisters, and the blade attachment for the blender. The two canisters are different sizes, which I prefer because sometimes you don’t want a large smoothie. One of the main reasons I was excited to work with this blender was because we recently found out we were going to have our first child. Even though I’m sure that we will have to supplement with store-bought baby food, it will be nice to have a quick and easy way to mix up our own baby foods when necessary. The previous blenders we had were insufficiently powered to be able to blend/puree foods like the Ninja can. Getting started with the Nutra Ninja is really easy. Once you have all the parts unboxed, you simply add your ingredients and then blend. If you hit ‘start’ it will start blending continuously until you press the start/stop button again to stop it. There are multiple settings on the blender including Pulse, Auto-iQ Blend, and Auto-iQ Ultra Blend. The Ultra Blend setting is perfect for harder ingredients. The Nutra Ninja does a great job of blending evenly. I really like that the blender is preprogrammed so that you can lock the canister down and then do other things while your mixture mixes. My main test was to make a morning breakfast smoothie. My smoothie usually just consist of milk and the protein powder mix. Sometimes I’ll add in some peanut butter, but I decided to try just the simple mix first. I put the ingredients into the canister and then blended the mix. I used the standard automatic blending option and it only took about 10 seconds to blend thoroughly. This is a great personal blender and I think the equipment will last for a long time.

Hands Down: The best blender out there

I've been using this for over a week now and it has really impressed me. Coincidently, I started my health journey around the same time and this has been my best friend all along. I make smoothies twice a day and it has yet to disappoint me. My wife also like it very much. We had a relatively inexpensive blender that we bought about 2 years ago which has been alright. Didn't impress us much but was useful when needed. Ever since we got this Ninja, we never look back. I was skeptical about getting this Ninja looking at its negative online reviews everywhere but still wanted to give it a try. So far it has been great. Seems like they launched a new model. Most negative reviews were about the putrid smell from the lid and also the seal but they need to realize that it needs to be cleaned thoroughly & regularly. I hand wash them every other day. I even remove the seal to clean it properly. That's the key right there which I learned while researching about this product. As long as you do it, you won't get any foul smell or bad taste in your smoothies. About the product, it has a powerful 1000W motor capable of blending almost everything. It came with two cups: 18 oz & 24 oz, both with their own spout lids. Unfortunately, it comes with only one blade. As with all the nutri ninjas, the chopper blades are made from very thick stainless with sharp leading edges. The Auto-IQ system is something new to me. I use it while I'm multitasking and it's impressive. According to the company: "It takes the guesswork out of drink making. Auto-iQ Technology features intelligent programs that combine unique timed pulsing, blending and pausing patterns that do the work for you". It has two modes: "Auto-iQ blend" (45 seconds) and "Auto -iQ ultra blend" (60 seconds). They automatically pulse, pulse, run for a bit, then pulse, pulse, and run for a bit etc. This works quite well. It allows everything in the larger cups to drop and settle then get mixed and blended over and over. You get a consistently smooth smoothie. One important thing to be aware is not to overfill the cups. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with this and will definitely recommend it to anyone.

    Good small blender

Ninja - Nutri Ninja With Auto-iQ Blender - Stainless Steel The Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ Blender is the little brother to the larger Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ blender/food processor. I selected the Blender option because it is about ½ the foot print on the counter top. Since I use it every day to make my smoothie for my health, the smaller foot print was desirable. My counter tops are small as is my kitchen. It has buttons for Start/Stop, Pulse, Blend (Auto-IQ) and Ultra Blend (Auto-IQ). The Auto-IQ buttons are programmed times with starts and stops to allow the food being blended to settle back into the blades. For my smoothie I use 8oz almond milk, 3 different frozen fruits and berries, and fresh ground flax meal, topped off with a small amount of cold filtered water to bring the level up to the full mark. Then I use the Blend button to make the smoothie, using the Ultra Blend button make the smoothie to runny. The unit is 1000 watts and has plenty of power to handle the frozen stuff. The blades have 3 levels of cutting edges, that’s 6 cutting edges total. It comes with 2 different size cups, as well as 2 lids for the cups. It has a book of recipes for you to work with. On a side note, it says stainless steel, it is completely plastic. The blades are the only stainless steel part. Although this unit is a smaller one than my previous unit, it uses the same size cups. I have 2 issues with this unit. 1 is a real issue for me, the other seems to work but I just don’t care for it. The first issue is the new redesigned cups, see the picture. They removed the graduations from the cup. It now only has max fill level. I use the graduations to measure how much of what I’m putting in. Because of this I will be using the old cup from my old unit. The redesigned cups also have ½ the threads on them. This has made it harder for me to get the blade unit or cup top in place correctly. Not impossible, just not as easy as it used to be. This issue is real, I am lucky that I have the older cup to use. If you’ve never used the old style you may not notice this. The second issue is the way the base unit holds the blender cup in place. It just presses in, no turn to latch. So far this has worked and not been a problem, it just seems a little loose when it’s running. You can see the cup shaking around as it chops up the frozen fruit. There is 1 “catch” that clicks in place. But it is not tight by any means. There is also 1 small offset in one of the 4 cup holding positions that seems to grab the cup slightly while it’s running. Time will tell if this is a real issue or just a perceived one. This is a good small blender that will allow you to press a button and do something else for the next 45 to 60 seconds. Or you can just run it like a blender. I like this unit and will be using it in place of my larger unit, just with one of my old cups.

Ninja has been on top of the blenders for sometime now. I own an older model and was happy to see a new updated one. This come with 2 cups a 18oz and 24oz they do come with lids that fit both travel cups. They do have a spout lid to close to keep from spilling. The blender unit is 1000 watts it has 2 suction cups on the bottom of the unit so it will stay in place. You don't have to keep a hold of the unit it will not move around. There a 4 speeds on this on the Auto IQ buttons they are timed Ultra Blend and just Blend. The Pulse button you just keep pressing until you are done. This does come with a book on Recipes to use for this. Clean up of this unit is easy and fast. It's not a very big unit so it wont get in the way on your counter or in the cabinet. Overall this is a good small blender.

Amazing! All it takes to make great smoothie is load the fruit (or veggies) and ice then run Ninja for 10 seconds. Yes, 10 seconds only. I could not believe it myself. This thing will crush everything in the cup instantly. Cup is detachable with lid which makes load and leaning super easy. Blender also have stick-on rubber feet and will strongly hold onto your counter so you don't have to worry about accidentally pushing item off the counter. This product deserves 10 of 10 score. Must have product Pros: Design Size Easy to use Fast Secure stick-on feet Cons: None

I choose to get this and return the nutribullet (the ones without any buttons and 900w). Since the nutribullet that I had just goes until you unlock the cup, my drinks came out weirdly aerated. Since the ninja uses the auto I’d, it stops when the blades aren’t hitting any resistance and allows the fruits to fall back down. Granted, if I used more fluid it would have closed the gap between both products, but I want a smoothie, not a juice. I also have a large vitamix and while that is better, this is amazing for quick to go smoothies when it’s just 1 person.

I use this blender particularly for my protein shakes and sometimes smoothies. The Nutri Ninja With Auto-iQ Blender blends my items well and doesn't leave it chunky. With all Ninja's, their blenders are loud. Other than that, very easy to clean and doesn't take up much space on the counter. This is perfect for those individuals that are on the go and don't need all the unnecessary attachments.

It is loud, but once you see how great it blends everything you won't care. I use it daily for fresh and frozen fruit with ice and it blends everything perfectly. The convience of just hitting the iq button and blending in the cup you drink out of makes it great for a smoothie in a hurry or on the go.

Purchased this blender for use making 1-2 serving healthy blends (e.g. smoothies). This quality built blender has plenty of power and blends very well & fast. It is so much easier and safer to clean than our large (72 oz.) blender with its razor sharp blades. The Nutri Ninja blades are solid and not dangerously sharp. Takes up less counter space and is very easy and fast to clean up. It comes with two blending/serving cups (18 oz. and 24 oz.). I also purchased a 32 oz. cup for larger 2-serving blends. Because it is so convenient and easy to clean we use it every day. For the really big jobs we use our large Ninja blender. We are very satisfied with this purchase!

Love the performance of this Ninja. We had a been using a Nutri Bullet and boy that thing was terrible. Finally one day it just stopped working so picked up one of these and it is night and day! This Ninja chops everything up very well and makes everything so smooth. The Nutri Bullet we have would chop up some things but not everything. It is very easy to clean. Only take a couple of minutes that is a big plus. Also love the suction cups on the bottom of the Ninja, that keeps it from moving around. Definitely would suggest this to anyone and it well worth the money. I have suggested this to three people and they all have bought it and agreed. The only con is that it is very very loud. There is no getting around that, but that would not stop me from buying it again.

This blender was a replacement for a similar Ninja we loved and used almost daily for about five years before the motor blew up. We like everything about this one except that it is a lot noisier than the other one. And it has features that are improvements over the old model - - the display showing the time remaining for the program selected and an easier way to place the cup onto the motor base with correct placement shown on the display. It's got plenty of power to make smoothies with ice and frozen fruit or raw vegetables. Sturdy and well built, but cover your ears during processing!
