I mainly got it to make homemade icecream. It whips the milk, sugar, heavy cream perfectly. Then I started using it for soups, then for large batches of sauces. It really is handy, and I've found myself to use for mixing other than my mixer.

It worked well--and much easier than a blender--but didn't work completely. I was pureeing split pea soup. Not sure if it was simply that I didn't master how to use it yet.
