I was tempted to leave 4 stars since the price is a bit high for an upper mid-range GPU but considering that it's no change over the 4080 MSRP, this card offers significantly (though not monumentally) better performance and good power savings. Running this in an older NZXT case with relatively poor airflow, I rarely see GPU temp much above 50 during gaming, and the card undervolts deeply without any loss of stability, though I'm sure mileage will vary depending on which card one ends up with. Still, it has been a great upgrade over the 2080TI that I had before. The Founders Edition card is also very sturdy and well constructed. Can't imagine buying an AIB card when the first party one is already this good.

The RTX 5080 Founders Edition is an excellent card, though I do wish it came with more VRAM. That said, I knew the specs going in and still feel it was the right choice. Some argue that the 5070 Ti offers better value, but in my opinion, a 5080 at MSRP is the smarter buy. One of the biggest advantages is overclocking potential—the 5080 has plenty of headroom and can push surprisingly close to 4090-level performance. It also comes with two decoders compared to just one on the 5070 Ti, which makes a difference for certain workloads. At MSRP, it’s absolutely worth it; above MSRP, not so much. Another factor is resale value. FE cards historically hold their value better, making upgrades down the line easier. Paying hundreds over MSRP for a third-party AIB card won’t matter to buyers later, but a well-kept FE card will always draw interest. I used to stick with EVGA out of brand loyalty, but since they’ve exited the GPU space, I’ve gone back to Nvidia’s own FE cards—and this one doesn’t disappoint.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition, and all I can say is, "Wow!" This card is an absolute monster that crushes every modern game I throw at it in 4K with settings maxed out. The sleek, dark gun metal design is a piece of industrial art and looks fantastic in my case with its compact two-slot size. It also runs surprisingly cool and quiet, with temperatures rarely exceeding 60-65°C under full load, which is a major plus.

The NVIDIA RTX 5080 Founders Edition is an absolute powerhouse. Blazing-fast performance, whisper-quiet cooling, and stunning ray tracing make it a top-tier choice for 4K and high-refresh gaming. The sleek design and solid build quality are the icing on the cake. Worth every penny!

OH YES. I went from a 3060 TI to this beast. A world of difference. While the 3060 TI is not a bad card it stuggles to keep up with my 4k monitor. This on the other hand, doesn't even bat an eye. I can throw any game at it at ultra settings, render any of my 3D models, and run AI simulations without any problems. I'm so happy with my 5080. I will also say I wish more GPUs were like this, clean design with no RGB. Only drawback is I 3D printed a GPU stand so it doesn't sag.

I absolutely love this card. Coming from a 3080 this a huge boost in 1440p. Temps are excellent 20 degrees cooler than the 3080 and performance is way higher. Don’t really need to use DLSS avg of 145 fps in 1440p is plenty for me but im sure it will come in handy if i choose to go to 4k. Definitely recommend at base cost don’t buy from scalpers.

I love this card! Runs perfect, sleek design, overclocks very well underload and it doesn't get as hot as I though tit would. I'm glad that its smaller then all the other cards on the market.

I love this gpu, very good purchase. The look is outstanding. The performance is very good for my architectural drafting workflow and also for gaming. The card runs very quiet I can't hear it at all. I love the look of the card. It looks better in person. This is a good buy!

Best Price to Performance Graphics Card for 2025

If you’re looking at this card chances are you’ve made peace with the price tag. The build quality is exceptional. Heck, even the way the card comes packaged is great. I am aware of the mixed reviews from many reviewers on social media and elsewhere claiming the 50 series is somewhat lackluster, but in reality every title I run at 1440p the card is flawless and from what I’ve seen even 4k is pretty good as well on most titles (but I don’t personally game at 4k), and this is without frame generation. I upgraded from a 1070, so I was long overdue and the 5080 Founders Edition (FE) didn’t disappoint. I feel the 5080 FE represents a decent value between performance and value, probably more so than any other card released so far in 2025. With 85% of the performance of a 4090, and much less the price, the long and short is, if the card is available, buy it as quickly as possible.

Purchased the FE version of this card due to the 2 slot design not covering up my expansion slots. From my previous 3080 card I have seen considerable improvement in performance and it runs far quieter. Runs all the latest games without any sign of struggle, and uses as little as half the power running older games.

I loved this proudct, I had no issues with it at all and it performed perfectly up to its capabilities. I just upgraded to a newer one s I had no need for this, it ran all my games outstandingly well at 4k quality with no setbacks in any ways.

Works exactly as it should. I am not a fan of 12v 2x6, but what can you do at this point. Overall, would be nice if more FE cards were available. Design is very impressive, and cooling is spot on. Runs cool and quiet - as it should. Overall, you get exactly what you expect, if you can get one. Driver issues are still there but hopefully they're fixed soon.

This is the second fastest card in the RTX 50 series. It’s great for 4K gaming. It also overclocks really well, getting to within 5% performance of a 4090. The FE is really hard to get so consider yourself lucky if you are able to get one. Highly recommend!

The NVIDIA RTX 5080 would be a game-changer, offering a massive jump in power for gamers and creators. It would deliver incredible graphics, super-fast performance even at 4K, and make games look stunningly realistic with advanced features like ray tracing. This card would be the top choice for anyone who wants the very best performance from their PC.
