This card is so nice and is the best available. Aesthetic is amazing, design is flawless especially for ITX builds. I really like how NVIDIA make it smaller.

This card performs well, stays really cool, and has nice overhead for OC/UV. If you can get it I don't see a reason to overpay for a different card. This one looks the best and has the best form factor.
Value at 3 stars because honestly it's a $2,000 GPU, so you don't get this if you're chasing "value" - that would be the 5070TI at $750.

The stock situation is unacceptable. However, going from a 4090 / i5 13600k build to a 5090 FE / 9800x3d build has led to a notable jump in performance. I feel very fortunate to have been able to snag one of these on launch day (highly recommend the Hotstock mobile app, it's free).
There are plenty of benchmark videos on YouTube for you to draw your own conclusions, so there's no sense regurgitating here info you already know.
What is special about the founder's edition other than its rarity is the overall design: it's much, much thinner than my Zotac 4090. Gaming at 4k with an aircooled system has been a breeze. I have yet to see GPU temps exceed 68°C in-game.
For a frame of reference for anyone else who upgraded from a similar platform, here are my 3D Mark scores (steel nomad bench, no overclocking):
4090 / i5 13600k: 9101
5090 / 9800x3d: 14117
Anyone able to grab this card at $2000 should consider themselves fortunate given the current GPU situation. I've found it to be a worthwhile upgrade, especially given the resale value of the 4090.

The design is beautiful and its lighter than my 4090 from GYGABITE. Just the best of the best. I'm seeing a 33% increase in performance.

I had been trying to get this card since launch day. I tried update scanners, Hotstock, and even randomly hitting F5 and hoping that "add to cart" would magically appear. As it turns out, randomly hitting F5 is how I ended up getting this card. It was pure luck and persistence that won in the end. It's a beautiful card and has a thinner profile than the giant bricks that the AIB's are selling. It's not Best Buy's fault that these are hard to get right now. I appreciate the online buying process and efforts to defeat bots. Now I just need to find a water block for this beast.

Coming from a Tuf RTX 3070 8gb, the 5090 is quite the upgrade. The dual flow through design is quite the spectacle. And the fact that it's a two slot card increases the functionality and the aesthetics for me personally. Admittedly, the temps are higher than my Tuf 3070, but after an undervolt, I was able to reel it in. The undervolt also decreases the power usage and as an extra extra benefit, it decreases the chances for my 600w 12VHPWR cable to melt.
All in all, it seems like a pretty solid product. Time will tell on how easy it is to maintain in reference to cleaning it up. I hope dealing with the liquid metal isn't too much of a hassle down the line. Having owned this card for almost a month, I am happy to have been able to get it.

Fast Card But Not Worth The MSRP Pricing

This card is fast, really fast. I dont seem to have the missing ROPS, and my card hasnt caught on fire as I bought a high end SeaSonic PSU to go with it. Memory junction temperatures do not go over 70 degrees Celsius, and the card stays lower than 65 degrees Celsius overall. Not bad for a 2 slot design.

Was lucky enough to grab one! Keep up with news regarding restocks. Follow discord channels, graphics card news on YouTube and set up Apple Pay. That is what’s going to get you through checkout the fastest way possible.
Performance has been phenomenal coming from my 3090 FE and this was the only card that made sense to upgrade to.

Simply the best consumer GPU you can buy right now. Excellent for 4K ray traced titles at high framerates and even path traced titles. There a little bit of coil whine but nothing that a decent speaker setup won't overpower. Headphones make it a non issue entirely. The FE is a sleek 2 slot design with good thermal performance. I dislike the huge AIB designs so this was perfect. Get a anti sag bracket!

Best Buy was able to provide me the highest end of gaming experience with NVIDIA's 5090. No more bottle-necking, given an appropriate CPU. Now even the newest AAA titles run the way you'd wish they would!

Its a 5090 at the actual MSRP. Not sure how NVIDIA is able to keep their prices and all orher board partners cannot. I was able to purchase in the April 2025 drop. How does it perform? Amazing! Idk how NVIDIA is able to cool such a power hungry card in a 2 slot design. Undervolt to 875mv + 994mhz and PL at 80% the card runs extra cool even in a SFF case!

Coming from a 3060 Ti, this card was like turning RTX on again. 4K/120 is easily achievable here in most games. I don't care for the multi-frame gen, but the DLSS upscaling is outstanding. 32GB of VRAM is frankly overkill for gaming and for running local AI models on my machine but with certain games and models requiring 16GB of VRAM for optimal experiences, this felt like a solid bet for future proofing. Only downside is that yes, this Founders Edition runs HOT. Mind bending thermal design, but VRAM temps still regularly hit 100 celsius. Besides that, I'm happy with this card.

Very happy with the performance of the 5090 Founders Edition that I was oh so very lucky to be able to purchase. I have it placed inside my Antec C8 case configured for optimal Airflow. I have undervolted my 5090FE and its operating at near stock performance with less voltage and temps. Playing CyberPunk 2077 in 4k for hours and my system runs at a cool 60 degrees Celsius.

I’ve been running the RTX 5090 mainly for Battlefield 2042 and it’s been amazing so far. The game runs smooth at max settings and I’m getting really high frame rates without any issues. What surprised me most is how cool the card stays even during long sessions, and the fans are quiet too. Overall, it’s been a great upgrade and handles everything I throw at it with ease.
