    Big jump from RTX 3090

Gaming on my RTX 3090 has been okay to abysmal on both 1440p (on monitor) and 4k (OLED TV with HDMI 2.1). With massive boost in performance from this extremely limited and hard to get (at the time of this review) video card as this, I’m very happy I waited out long enough and race to get one for myself. Streaming for my friends privately has also been very pleasant since the latest NVENC stuff has been generous when streaming and recording stuff. VRAM is very wild to me too, so I’m hoping I can try and see if I can push its limits, especially with my newly upgraded power supply for the unique PCIE 5.0 power connector it got going on for some overlocking performance. I haven’t had any issues as far as I noticed to this day with ROPs (verified and I’m GTG) and with normal temperatures and voltages on my power cable to my RTX 5090 too (also verified). Really though, the only con to me after having this video card paired up with my 64GB of RAM and 7800x3d CPU is just the cost, it is a wallet killer for sure and be needing lots of savings to get this really. Lastly, would I recommend this to anyone? Very hard to say because its use is meant for extreme end of things but also not trying to destroy people’s wallets depending where they’re upgrading from.

Never thought I’d be able to snag a 5090 Fe but was lucky with a drop. I upgraded from a 3080 launch edition and game on a 4k 144hz monitor; the difference has been night and day. It definitely feels premium and looks premium on top of being sleek as a two slot card. Playing games like BF6 and Arc Raiders had a noticeable visual difference as well as a choppiness that I didn’t primarily notice unless watching other gamers with better rigs. I also was in the middle of a dying light 2 campaign and even with lowered settings while on a 3080 wasn’t aware how much lag there was. While I’m overall content with my purchase I’m not sure I’ll be seeking flagship level performance in the future vs getting the ‘80 equivalent graphics cards.

The best GPU money can buy. Period. I've been using my 5090 for about a month now no issues what so ever and the FE model is surprisingly very cool. As long as you have good airflow in the case, the fans rarely run at more than 30%, never hear them. Also little to no coil whine on my card. Perfect match for my 240hz 34" UW OLED monitor. Basically set the in-game settings to high and go play. No more tinkering with settings trying to find that perfect balance. Excellent card if your budget allows.

Walked into the store and ordered it on July 4th. Got it on the 12th. No melting cable and no coil whine. I had a 5090 Zotac that was 2.8k usd a few months ago, but returned it. I love the 5090FE because its lighter and smaller. I bought it mostly to render 3d animations and some gaming. I had a 4080 and the 5090 cuts rendering time about 50%-80%. Alsothat 32GB of VRAM is very nice for both rendering/modeling and for gaming. It should be easier to get now.. prices for AIB is also falling so demand is going down. If you can get an FE, get it!

Best in class GPU for the lowest price - this card is SO hard to get and the best choice for a 5090 if you can get one. It is one of very 5090s you can use in a smaller case. The look and feel is excellent and it uses an innovative cooling design which costs more but is very space efficient. no regrets (outside of paying 2k) LOL

The card has been great. Paired with an atx3.1/pcie5.1 psu I have not had any issues with the connector melting. Playing BF6 @ 4k on ultra settings, no MFG, DLSS balanced the card runs at about 65-70C. I wouldn't recommend the card unless you are on 4k.

Well well. Finally got one. It shouldn't feel like such a prize but fighting for inventory every drop since day one has made it feel more special than it really is. Dont get me wrong. Good GPU. I work in AI so i wanted more VRAM to play with at home. I will say its a jump in performance. Not the massive jump everyone expects every generation, but it delivers more frames for less power (with a good undervolt) and it does it in a two slot form factor, which is the second main draw for me. If you can snag it at MSRP and have the scratch, it might be worth it. There are better value cards out there though. All on what you want and are willing to spend. Have fun.

The RTX 5090 is simply a beast. Powered by the new Blackwell architecture, it delivers unmatched performance for both gaming and professional workloads. With 32GB of GDDR7 memory and over 21,000 CUDA cores, it handles 4K and even 8K gaming with ease, and creative tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, and AI workflows run faster than ever.

The 5090 fe is what you expect it to be. Its a powerful gpu and performs well. You can expect about a 30% performance increase over the 4090. Definitely pulls alot more power than the previous gen, but half as thick. Ive notice a 100-150 watt increase in usage than what the 4090 was running during gameplay and work rendering, but Im overall happy with my purchase. I really wanted to take a star away because of the fiasco with nvidia and best buy. Best Buy is the exclusive dealer of the founders edition gpu, but you have to win a lottery to get one in stock I just dont understand it. Maybe its to keep prices up idk. I ended up having to pay a inventory checker website to notify me right when the stock is available and with in a week i was able to get on the Best Buy app and secure one. That being said deducting a star wouldnt be fair for the product itself. Its powerful and it gets the job done and more.

was pretty dissatisfied with being forced to take a 100$ in home delivery with no option to ship to store, standard ship home or for pickup when many other bestbuy customers could. The card also has the loudest coil whine ive ever heard, which is expected. The engineering on the card is great and stays very cool even at full load. The coil whine sounds like knives on chalkboard though.

Pros: -Fastest GPU in the world. -MSRP. Cons: -Coil whine. -0db fan mode is broken. Sometimes the fans would spin to 30% even when the GPU is idling at 25C. It's very inconsistent and annoying. -It uses a 2 slot cooler, which compromised on temperature and noise. My previous RTX 4090 Aorus Master cooler was much better than this.

This card is really great for AI related tasks. 32gb memory is large enough for most models and can confirm that I was able to get a quantized R1 70 running with very high t/s. AI GPU temps also stay below 70'C. The gaming performance is great too. Played Avowed at max settings with a stable 240fps, and f1 2024 runs really well too. The only issue was the card shipped in the original box with Nvidia 5090 written on the shipping box. I hope bestbuy understands these are high demand items and ships them discretely so that they dont get stolen.

This is a major upgrade coming from a 1080 card. Very nice aesthetic and size. Was worried about coil whine, but I can't hear any. Strongly recommended for 4k gaming. It's worth the investment if you're able to order one. It took me over 4 months of high effort monitoring/you need to be fast and lucky.

I upgraded from a GeForce RTX 3080 and saw a massive increase in gaming performance at 1440p and 4K. While $2,000 is questionable given the price/performance of previous generations, the FE model is indisputably the best value if you want top-of-the-line performance until the next generation. Thermals and noise are decent at stock settings and I had no issues limiting the power target to lower temperatures more with a very small hit to performance.

For the games I play (FF14, Rust, Starcraft II, Tabletop Simulator) they don't push it all. The only game that can even get the fans to cut on are Flight Simulator. It is still quiet. Handles everything from multiple monitors watching TV and gaming and still quiet. I am coming from a 3090 to 5090. Have tried some other test like having 40k objects on a table (TTS) and flipping it. Card handles it beautifully even with physics and shadows.

The best of the best for gaming. Even though it’s a disappointing series, 5090 is still the best gaming GPU for the next two years, unless a 90ti model is released. Having 32GB vram is certainly nice. A slimmer design versus the 4090 FE also gives more options for ITX builds. Sadly, it’s a very hard to get card and a limited edition, at least for the FE card
