Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the SHIELD Android TV for its seamless performance, speedy processor, and ease of use. The device is also praised for its remote, streaming capabilities, and excellent picture quality, including fantastic upscaling and AI upscaling features. Some customers find the price to be high and would prefer more USB ports, RAM, and storage. However, many appreciate the smaller size and easy-to-use interface.

Good device
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think overall its pretty good. The upscaling is very good. The performance os just ok. A roku Ultra has a much faster interface than this that lags occasionally. Performance isnt the best or worst. It has most services but not as many apps as roku. But this is my primary stream device and like it so far.

Well worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After buying a few android boxes over the years and never satisfied I thought I'd try the 2019 TV shield. Well I am more than satisfied, this tube rocks. The only thing missing is a usb port, but I was able to find an Rii mini bluetooth keyboard which works flawlessly with the shield.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had first generation shield tv and have always been a fan. This version is greatly improved especially the remote. If you like snappy streaming devices you can't go wrong with Nvidia shield tv.

Good choice if the Shield Pro isn't available
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased one of these since at the time the Shield Pro was on backorder. Easy to use and load programs on. It does seems to buffer more than the Shields Pro i eventually got does and isn't as quick to process actions, but it's definitely a good choice for a streaming box compared to all the others I've used.

Best streaming stick/device
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA SHIELD TV is honestly the best streaming device you can buy. This cheaper tube version is good enough if you only need it for streaming (and not serving) content. The AI upscaling feature is amazing for SD content on a 1080p screen, or SD/HD content on a 4k screen.

Stop waiting and invest in the best!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's the upgrade you didnt know you needed. Stop waiting and invest in a better picture, better sound, and overall better streaming experience. Went with the pro for our main entertainment room and the tube for the bedroom. Worth every penny!

Audio passthrough is the killer feature
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I generally love the Shield. The best feature for me is that it does audio passthrough. I also have an Echo Cube, but that converts and downgrades audio to compressed Dolby Digital plus versus the full Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD. The Shield passes these better formats straight to the receiver. Pros: - It passes the full audio to the receiver. - It's the best option I've found for Emby. - I can connect my regular, Bluetooth headphones to it when I need to keep things quiet. - You can add an SD card to expand the storage, which I needed to do even though I had only apps and no media or games on it. - It tries to recommend shows from any of the apps you have connected. It's not perfect yet, but I appreciate the effort. Cons: - Sometimes it's unresponsive when trying to switch applications. I'm not sure if it's waiting for something on the network or if it's one of the apps.

Invidia
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mixed emotions quality of the streaming is good but it does seem to have some issues with freezing up. Also having issues with the sound bar. I have tried them all and for the money this one would not be my first choice. I have Apple, Roku, amazon and this was my most recent try.

Love it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice value when you want Android TV, but don't want to spend the extra money for a game console. Wish it had more memory to install more apps.

NVIDIA Shield
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comes with standard Android TV. Cluttered interface if your not used to it. The cigar shape is a little different, especially trying to figure out where to place it. What sets this streamer apart is the AI enhancement which upscales video to 4k. This is a great device.

Perfect for any cord cutter!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a cord cutter for 4 years, but I haven't always liked any of the devices I've had. We also have a 4k fire stick on the other tv, but this does everything, especially if you don't have a smart TV. Easy to download any app. I am glad I purchased this, and highly recommend for anyone!!!

Great entry level Android TV device
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shield, albeit a bit pricey is the best entry level Android TV device on the market. It's fast and it's able to handle the typical video requirements of the average cord cutter. I recommend it to anyone looking for an Android compatible streaming device that does more than Chromecast.

Worth the price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up for family member. Very happy with the Nvidia Shield products and own both versions. Latest update helps with some issues. Much better streaming device and very versatile in use.

Great upscaling!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the gold standard for streaming devices. The AI upscaling definitely lives up to the hype. I would rate this five stars but the home page is just too busy for me. I prefer simple and straight forward. You can make a few adjustments regarding this, but not enough for my taste. So I'm giving this a 4.5 star.

NVIDIA Shield Rocks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the absolute best TV interface. I get rid of the one that comes with the TV (Roku, Samsung/Tinzen, LG/WebOS) by having it auto-select the Nvidia Shield. The new remote w/ it's location finding feature is great, but the removable back is starting to slide off easily.

Nvidia Shield is excellent in so many ways!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shield allows me to stream nearly all services vi Android and I can play many games if I want but it also lets me connect my home network shares easily to play movies and music via Kodi or other media players.

Great for getting android tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Samsung TV, but it's not based on the android OS. I installed the NVIDEA Shield system and in minutes I had an android system. I watch cable TV on HDM1, but all else on HDM2 which the NVIDEA system is attached to. Easy set-up and easy to use.

Yup!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromecast had been my "go to" casting device for a few years and it served it's purpose. One day I said to myself, there has got to be more out there. Boy was I right! I ran across this little guy and shifted to another dimension. I had been sitting on a lawn chair on the moon when what I really wanted to do was go galavanting through the galaxy. That's how big the difference is. I know that for the gamers this is now old tech but it hits the mark - no - created a NEW mark in my viewing experience. I highly recommend.

Best streamer on the market
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used this to replace a old Apple TV and I am very impressed. It is very fast even faster then my 4th gen Apple TV when it comes to starting Netflix and Amazon video. Integration with My Control4 system was flawless and IP control works great.

Best Streaming Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup. Works well with Emby, Kodi and Plex. Voice control with Alexa and Google Home work as expected. The only thing I find missing is a builtin mic. Being able to install apps from the Google Play Store instead of side-loading, like the Amazon Fire TV devices is better in terms of security.
