I really wish other manufacturers would catch on to adding voice commands, rechargeable battery and best of all 3.5mm headphone jack. I work normal hours but my wife works late so on Saturdays I wake up early and like to play video games and watch shows but before I would have to watch them at whisper quiet levels now I can play with the volume cranked and not wake up the Ole lady or the dog. Gotta love it!!

Not everyone wants to use the controller. This thing is voice activated, has its own built in rechargeable battery, wonderful device. Works great if you just prefer to use a stick.

If you have the Nvidia Shield to use as a streaming device, this remote is a must have. With voice dictation, you can navigate using just your voice alone. It is so easy to speak into the remote and the voice dictation software is very detailed that I rarely need to repeat the words I say, unlike the apple tv. The battery lasts at least a week as well. You cannot buy the shield without getting this remote, it just completes the experience of using this device.

If the main purpose to buy the shield tv is to watch videos, you will want this remote. Handling TV tasks that only require a few buttons with the bulky controller that will require you both hands is inconvenient at times like when you have your phone in one hand and want to change or pause the video with the other. Packed with features and can even control the TV's volume.

I would actually give this 4.5 Stars, It really does seem expensive and i'm not sure I could bite the bullet if I didn't have a best buy gift card to use towards it to soften the blow. That being said, after using it for a few days now I'm beyond impressed with the build quality. It's brushed aluminum back makes it feel like it's a $50 remote. The microphone is easily sensitive enough to not have to hold it up to your face to search and the fact it's rechargeable via micro usb cable is a huge plus on making it so thin. My only other gripe is that it's not so ergonomic when you are holding it in your hand, they almost needed a little niche or something so it is held in your hand more comfortable when you are using the most common part at the top (the directional pad and circle ok button in the middle). All in all I dont regret spending the money at all since I use the headphone jack feature a lot on the included controller and this is much easier to manage in a master bedroom when you are watching something at night and dont wanna wake the Mrs or the kids

This remote has the weight and build quality that all remotes should have. Charge lasts a while, and setup was easy. Built in mic gets the job done with voice search. Great job by NVIDIA!

Very well designed, feels nice in the hand. Voice search and navigation and sound control functions work well. Also bonus - you can connect you headphones to the remote to get sound.

This is a must have accessory for the Nvidia Shield streaming player. If you aren't into the gaming this remote is smaller and easier to deal.

Must have for owners easy to use and allows you to really fly around the menus and allows voice search on many different apps.

If you have a Nvidia Shield, this remote is a must! Voice search is great and it is very easy to use.

This makes controlling the Shield much easier than using the remote, which can be cumbersome when not gaming.

Not much to say other than it is a great piece of hardware. Small, but not too small to be comfortable or to lose. Lightweight and comfortable to hold and use with one hand. Simple, but functional. Looks good. It functions perfectly and is very intuitive to use with no learning curve (I'm a bit techy, but I believe this applies to most). The mic feature works well, and it just feels good in your hand. Note that I use a receiver for volume control, so I can't comment on the slider volume control that some have complained about. That said, I did use it for the first few days while I was still tinkering and testing, and didn't notice any issues with it and found it to be as comfortable and functional to use as the rest of the remote. Once again, Nvidia shows that they take time to do things right, and build quality, high performance products. Would definitely recommend the remote for cord cutters.

Great control easy to set up the design is great easy to use.

The remote is great and feels very premium but the volume adjustment (with is touch sensitive via swipe) is kind of weird and is difficult to use sometimes. Wish you could tap on the top and bottom to raise and lower the volume. Might be easily fixed with a firmware upgrade form NVidia. Remote is a lot better to use than the controller for normal TV streaming.

I bought the Nvidia shield on sale with an extra controller and figured I was just going to use them to operate the shield. I did not want to spend another 50 dollars on an accessory that should have been packed with the unit. Well I was wrong and wanted the controller bad so I got it. I'm really liking it because it's small, thin and a quality build. It definitely feels like a premium item and adds voice search to the shield. I also love the fact that it is rechargeable, which has not needed a charge in over three weeks of constant use. Well worth the price of admission folks!

This is an AWESOME remote! The battery lasts a long time and the microphone works perfectly. I bought mine when it was sold separately. No regrets as it is an excellent remote however I wish I would have known they would eventually bundle the remote and the shield together.

Great Little remote for an excellent streaming device. The voice search feature works quite well using Google for recognition! The volume control touch slide area is slick too. Plus, this is coming free with b Nvidia Shield purchase so grab one, you won't be disappointed!

This remote is not included in the Nvidia Shield pack . so trust me when I say you will be glad if you get it. This remote makes selection of apps, movies , music , etc much easier than the game controller included .Unless you only buy the Shield for games.
