      We are sorry to hear about your experience and hope we can provide some more information here to help you with your purchase decision. The current SHIELD TV Pro streaming box is the same version that began selling in 2015. What’s new in the product bundle selling today is our brand new game controller plus a media remote for free in the box. The previous bundle did not include a remote. The remote also includes a headset jack for private listening (a feature that the 16GB version does not have). The game controller is also a substantial upgrade from the previous controller (now including dual vibration feedback, 60hr gaming battery life, and an IR blaster for controlling TV volume). The throwaway plastic film was removed to make the product more environmentally safe.       Hi Bill,
      We are happy to hear that you are enjoying SHIELD as a Media Server. Unfortunately DVR on Live Channels is not an official product at this due to the audio issue that you experienced. Unless you have a TV, receiver or sound bar that can decode Dolby Digital audio (AC3) you will not get audio for channels that support surround sound. To record current programs in the Live Channels app, press the Select button and then press the up button for Playback controls. Press Select again to select the controls. Then on the playback controls menu, you will see the record button on the far right. Stay tuned for more features coming from Plex DVR very soon! nvidia
