I absolutely love my Oculus! I was skeptical about VR gaming and just VR in general, but I was impressed at how realistic and fun it was to play Robo Recall. I would definitely recommend Oculus for anyone looking into getting into VR.

For those trying to choose between this and the HTC Vive, here is what I have learned from using the Oculus. There are a few games that are Vive only, but only a few. The Oculus is fairly easy to set up and can be set up to be played in a fairly large room. The biggest drawback I have found with the Oculus is that the sensors have to be in front of you, facing you, no more than 6 feet apart. For most situations this is not an issue unless you have to turn around, then the sensors loose tracking on the handsets. The biggest advantage over Vive? Half the price. P.S. There are a LOT of free games on both the Oculus store and Steam.

A must have addition if you have a computer with the latest graphics card and camera cpu. If you are a serious gamer then you need this. This product feels like you are really in the virtual world and not in a gimcky type of way. The product feels solid and I am completely satisfy in every way!

I had been sitting on the fence for awhile about investing in VR. One day I figured what the heck, I'd buy it and if I didn't enjoy it I'd take it back. Well I can say that this won't be going back to Best Buy! The wife and I really enjoy the experience in the respective games we play. It's really amazing and fun! There's a 'WOW' factor every time you put it on to enter into a game world and the Oculus Rift environment. If you have a powerful system to run it, it's worth it! The only downside for me is that the Oculus Rift does not accommodate framed glasses comfortably. 4 stars. I purchased an inexpensive 2nd pair of glasses (frameless) per Oculus Rifts size recommendations and I was good to go with no further issues. My system: 8th gen i7 - 3.70GHz, Asus 1080TI video card, 32 GB RAM, SSD Drive, Win 10 64bit.

I have been watching the technology evolve for years and with the last price break I gave in! My video card was a 1050 2gig and barely worked and Oculus does not support SLI or crossfire :(. The 1060 6gig is my next card and works great. I got another sensor (3X) and now it tracks 360 like it should. Can't wait for more apps to come out. This may save the PC from extinction.

I wasn't sure if VR would be something I would enjoy. This has changed the way I view video games. No video will do just in understanding the difference this makes in video games. You need to try it to understand. Amazing!

mmos hardcore graphics and fun that’s what we want! The system is super fun but needs to lose the wires. Add more sensors and just detect the size of the person and where they are. Anyway good luck. But if you curious about buying! Omg yes do it! Do it!youll either hate it or love it!

bought this because i thought it would be fun to play with. it works great and i don't see any problems with it. i got the senors wall mounted so it looks nice and i got a xbox controller for it also. it's kinda steep on the price still since the games for it suck.

It's a fun vr experience, lots of free content. However there are some caveats. Headset is not leading tech anymore. Hence the price drop. There are pricier VR options like HTC Vive Pro and Pimax 5k or Pimax 8k which offer much better resolution compared to the oculus rift or original HTC Vive. But even though the resolution is lacking on the Oculus Rift, the experience is still great for the price. In fact the price is unbeatable when the headset is on sale it's a must have item for those owning a PC with a GTX 1060 or better GPU and enough play room 5x7 feet. I am really happy with my purchase. Giving it only 4/5 stars because of blurry graphics and brief occasional loss in video signal with steam vr platform.

I bought this during the VR summer sale. I am blown away by VR. Games like Robo Recall will blow you away. I am glad that I bought this. I am a huge VR fan. There are some very good VR games in the horizon. (Fallout VR, Skyrim VR, Dom VR) I do not regret this purchase.

I bought oculus then preorder samsung oddysey after watching many reviews on YouTube i tested both and i end up staying with oculus, better controllers with no loss of sight as compare to samsung, oculus was more immersive my eyes gets more tired and motion sickness with samsung cause of contrast and oculus games just plays much better with oculus rift i tested robo recall and others i only need it the two sensors for oculus to work 360° one on front one on back hanging on wall easy to doit if you use little imagination, for me oculus is a better quality device

I purchased this for one purpose: automotive racing games (Project Cars2, Forza 7, AC, rFactor2). It is absolutely breathtaking. All VR products are in their infancy, but if this is early tech, sign me up for more! Pro - all above - setup and navigation are a breeze. Tutorials can help you understand movements. Con - chances are your existing 4gen and 6gen Intel processors won't do it. Chances are you old GTX 2xx-9xx will not give you a decent VR experience (if at all). Chance are you'll have to get to a minimum Intel i5 7xxx (or AMD equiv) and a Nvidia GTX 1050Ti or better.

Firstly, the Oculus Rift was the first VR on the market, therefore the technology is a bit older, but not so bad that it should dissuade you from buying it. My other concern is that This is THE most well-known and widely used VR system. Unfortunately the benefits of this are limited. Games, often ones that you already own, modified for VR are generally full price, not discounted as many of these now older games are. Worse still, if you already own the standard version of the game, you have to buy it again. Too few useful and fun free programs/games in order to be torts the hassle of putting it on. If you and your family like VR, it’s a great system at a fair price. My family mostly let’s it gather dust.

The product works as well as I expected. The graphics are good, the program intuitive to set up and learn. I would have rated this a 5 Star but my only disappointment is: I have prescription progressive lens glasses and they do not fit under the headset very comfortably. The minor adjustments integral with the headset to compensate for glasses wearers is marginal at best. I may have to invest in a smaller glasses frame size to wear inside the headset but that's going to cost me as much as the headset. I would highly recommend this product to those with better eyesight but those of us needing prescription I would suggest you try them out first.

Got it during summer sale, glad they permanently reduced the price to $399 with Touch included. Great device, growing list of games, and runs very well with GTX 970. At this price, it's the VR system to beat!
