I like Microsoft Office programs. I use Outlook daily and PowerPoint and Publisher at least once a month. Of course Word and Excel are very useful and I am probably using both of these at least five times a week. However, when you consider the entire package - the price Microsoft charges for "rent" of these programs is quite high. Their regular selling price is much too high ... but, considering the usefulness I suppose they feel they have priced these products fairly. There are other software providers who are writing programs that would replace Work and Excel ... and Outlook, although simple to use, has had some other developers providing equally useful products that are much less expensive. PowerPoint and Publisher are fairly unique in their capabilities, although I have seen less expensive - but not so robust - products available on the internet. Bottom line is Microsoft is packaging all of their products in a way that their market share will never be out shown because no one else has packaged their products in the same way.

Love HP - good value for low-end laptop

I'm an ex-IT guy (network engineer) and know a bit about technology and laptops. I got this for my 17-year old daughter for high school - Senior year. She is living with my sister in Calif, and I made the purchase in Matthews, NC. Within 2 weeks, the screen goes black and it still boots (blinking lights on laptop), but no video. Call HP - known issue - take apart, pull battery connection from motherboard, reboot with just power cord, then power down, and reassemble. Yep - my Toshiba did the exact same thing, and that strategy DID fix it! My sister and husband said - no way! I called the Matthews store, and they emailed me the receipt. I forwarded the receipt to my sister, and she took the laptop back to Best Buy - in Berkeley, CA!!! They exchanged the laptop - no questions asked. Hassel factor = high. Best Buy = 5 stars for excellent customer service. HP = hey, anything goes with technology...not their fault either. Life goes on. We'll see how the second one goes.

Office 365 Personal, 1-year subscription, 1 PC/Mac (Product Key Card) - Android|Mac|Windows|iOS was bought in store and left overnight (actually, for several days) with the Geek Squad for an additional fee of charge to install and put on the computer- so it would be ready for me for school and work. I've had the computer now several months and it STILL is not allowing Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. (Office Systems) to function on my Laptop. For something that I paid extra to have, and have installed by the people who sold me the product itself, it's very disheartening to not be able to use very important, everyday/daily used programs. I've had to since go through corporate and then they sent me to another 3rd party vendor to try and retrieve this product key that I was never given back, told about, or had installed correctly so that it would be already in the computer system (not needing me to FIND it and type it in).

I have used office at home and work for years, but I am not particularly enthralled with this one. Outlook is by far the biggest disappointment with its lack of cross functionality to other platforms with the calendar. Apparently this is an issue with the other platform as well, but in the past (on the older, non- subscription program) it was never an issue. I guess now everyone wants you in their bag and not working in multiple areas, yet they forget that if you work, have kids in school, and have a life at all, every aspect will have items coming from multiple ends and making things harder than necessary just ticks people off. I haven't used word and excel yet enough to review, but they look similar to what I have used before. I just find this whole subscription thing not as much worth the money as it used to be. I may toss it after the year and move on to something else.

Keycode does not work. Best Buy customer service told me that this is an ongoing issue with this product that they have with Microsoft. They told me to contact to Microsoft directly. So I called Microsoft to request to register me online/phone, they couldn't do it because "This is an ongoing issue with the products being sold at Best Buy." Sweet. Their best recommendation to help me was that I should return the item and contact back Microsoft to purchase the item directly form them, then they'd be able to register me. My solution was to return the item and got the refund. I don't need this type of hustle.

Let me preface this by saying, I like Office, I use it constantly at work and at home. That being said, do NOT buy this version if you intend to use the pre-loaded Office Home 1-month trial that comes on most new computers. When the month ran out and I tried to install this version I kept getting errors. 2 calls and nearly 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft tech support and the best suggestion they could offer was that I should pay to upgrade to Home, because that would work. I didn't want the version. Why should I pay for the use with 5 computers, 5 tablets, and 5 phones when I only need Office for 1 of each? I finally got someone on the phone who managed to fix the issue, but it was a giant pain and I'm not too happy with how long it took to fix. I've recommended Microsoft products to a lot of people over the years, but I'm going to have to re-think that in the future.

I bought this as an upgrade to my Word 2010 program. I had a coupon and said why not. I know I have to pay $80 in a year, but I get 1 TB of OneDrive space and 60mins a month for Skype which helps me to be able to stay in contact with my family. This is great for college kids and they get a special price with the University edition, good for 4 years. You get Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access all for $80. I have more space on my One Drive account than my desktop has, I know that my documents are secure and can read them whenever I want from either my computer or my phone. The only gripe I have is the 'Send to OneNote' notification which doesn't go away even though I disabled it for startup. And I can't find a way to disable the pop ups. But all in all it is worth buying since it will update to the next version when it comes out. Definitely a buy for Microsoft fans.

I do not recommend buying this Microsoft Product Key. Instead, go to Microsoft's website and purchase it there. When you buy this card you are forced to swipe a credit card for auto-renewal which you have to go online or call to cancel. The auto-renewal is NOT through Microsoft, you are committing to renew through Best Buy with the disclaimer that the price can change. Also, they have stored my credit card information and I cannot delete it myself so I have to call them and have them do it. I specifically asked the cashier if the renewal was through Microsoft or Best Buy and was told that it was Microsoft. So I recommend Office 365 but not these Product Keys that are sold by Best Buy.

This was purchased along with a Lenovo laptop that was only available on line and not in the store. Upon receipt of the product I tried to install the software and Best Buy failed to activated the serial number through Microsoft and as such it would not install. I immediately called Best Buy and spent over 8 hours on the phone being transferred from Best Buy to Microsoft and being treated there was nothing Microsoft could do without the activation being done by Microsoft. I would then call Best Buy back and go through the same routine. I finally was able to speak with a manager who made arrangements for me to take the product into a store approximately 75 miles from my home and the replaced and installed the software but overall it was a terrible experience and I don't know if I will ever make another purchase from Best Buy

I will never use even a fraction of what this office suite offers. Office 365 installed quickly and without any issues on my new Windows 10 laptop. I am using Outlook, Word and Excel so far and intend to use Publisher, PowerPoint, OneNote and OneDrive when I can find time to acquaint myself with their main features. I’m not sure if I will ever find a use for Access. My main complaint with Microsoft Office products is that, because they are so complex, it can sometimes be quite difficult to find what I consider to be very basic functions or settings. They always seem to be buried in the most unlikely places in the applications and I am left wondering why Microsoft decided it was necessary to hide them so deviously! But Microsoft has the de facto office suite and I will have to put up with the convoluted nature of the products.

Bought this as part of a computer bundle for my son. Previously each time I purchased software, I would receive an email that would contain the software product key. However with this purchase, I did not receive such an email, and instead received a card, delivered with the computer, that contained the product key. My son lost the card that night prior to installing the software. I contacted Best Buy customer service and requested that produce the product key to me since I still had my receipt. BestBuy customer service informed me, since they did not retain the product key information for software they sell, they could not help me. I was referred to Microsoft and they were of no help either. I paid for the software but I never was able to install it. I will never purchase MS Office 365 from Best Buy again. Microsoft customer service was no help either...

I use office 365 at work and am so comfortable with how it works. Having a personal account is great! I use outlook for my provider's email because it's so much easier to sort and clean up when I get behind on going through them. I love the option of either editing excel and word docs in browser or in computer based apps. I also love that it works on my phone! Sometimes that can be a bit cumbersome given the small screen and no physical keyboard, but to be able to create spreadsheets on the go then email them from my phone helps me be super efficient! I hate how everyone is going to subscription based software to keep the $ rolling in, but this is one subscription I plan on keeping.

On June 29, I had to go back to the Best Buy Store on Perimeter Drive, Charlotte, NC where I bought the bundle of a Toshiba Satellite, HP e-6320 Printer, Microsoft Office 365, Webroot, a Hotspot and the 24/7/365 Geek Squad Assistance Package on numerous occasions before Alicia and Lily (Geek Squad Agents) were finally able to successfully able to install this Microsoft Office 365 software. With Alicia's permission, we recorded her efforts on my Sony Recorder. After receiving Alicia's arduous efforts (that took a long time) the only reason I would not recommend this software to a friend was witnessing the difficulty that even a Geek had installing it. I am not a satisfied customer to say the least.

MS Word is a necessity; Subscription is a pain

While Microsoft Word is a necessity, the subscription is a pain. Today, I needed to update a document on the fly, during a meeting. Microsoft a Word would not let me update the document, and instead wasted my time prompting me to sign in and telling me features that I’ve paid for would be acceptable if I had a subscription well, I HAVE a current, valid subscription, It’s been less than a year, my subscription is not up. I switched to Pages on the iPad, and it worked fine and I got it done and submitted before the meeting was over. Microsoft pandering & promoting for new subscriptions way before the current one is up, blocking features is NOT cool. You’re supposed to help customers be more productive, not make us totally inefficient,

I’ve been a Microsoft Office user for over 20 years now. I also use Apple’s software programs (like Pages and Keynote) and I sometimes use Google Docs when I have to. After all these years, I still like Microsoft’s Office software the best. It could be that it already has what I am familiar with and I know how to use it, but there’s something about the interface I really like. I find it’s easy to figure out how to do stuff. If for some reason you can’t figure something out, just go to Microsoft and watch a tutorial on how to use it. It’s that easy. At first, I wasn’t sold on the 365 idea, but I guess that’s because I had not tried it yet. Now I’m sold. This is great. Generally, I use Apple stuff (macbook, iphone, etc) but Microsoft remains the best when it comes to Office software. I love this version.

I originally purchased Microsoft Office 365 for a required college computer class, not intending to use it much beyond the scope of my homework assignments. Much to my surprise, it was much more user-friendly and useful than I gave it credit for. Recently, I updated my resume using Microsoft Word and gave it a more modern, professional look using the many styles and templates the 2013 version has to offer, and after sending it to a potential employer I received a call back in no time. I am very happy with my decision to buy the yearly renewable version of Microsoft Office 2013, it was much more affordable as well as offering me the chance to upgrade to a newer version cost-free if/when one does become available. As someone who was using Wordpad and Notepad for years, I can attest that this is a wise investment both academically and professionally.

Originally I was a bit skeptical about purchasing software through a subscription vs buying a license outright. That skepticism went away when I purchased a subscription to Adobe's Creative Cloud. The fact that the applications are always up to date is a big plus. The same principle applies to Office 365. You always have the latest version of the software (as long as your subscription is active). Plus, with Microsoft recently announcing that they are reducing the amount of free space for OneDrive users (from 15GB to 5GB), the 1TB you get with the Office 365 subscription is an added bonus that you don't get when you buy Office through a perpetual license. Also, I use Publisher and Outlook, which are both included in the Personal and Home subscriptions (but not with the 2016 Home and Student one-time purchase license)

I recently purchased this Dell laptop. My old laptop had finally quit working and I needed a new one as soon as possible. Using my husband's laptop, I spent hour after hour researching laptops. The key points that I had to take into consideration were being retired and on a budget, needing a sturdy laptop (have arthritis), needing a lot of memory (for my digital pictures), large screen for easy reading, average skills to successfully maneuver in the application software, well known brand and price. This Dell computer met and exceeded each of my personable requirements. I have been using mine without a hitch. So, if you are looking for a nice laptop at a very reasonable price, this Dell will meet and exceed your expectations.

I have been a loyal user of Microsoft Office since it was released! I love the program itself and it does everything that I need it to do PLUS some!! My only complaint is this...a lot of programs are making the switch to digital download and in doing so, they have started charging a fee up front and then after a year, you have to purchase the program all over again. Well what if I'm happy with the version I have and don't want to upgrade? In order to continue using it, I still have to purchase it again. I wish these companies would stop doing that! If I purchase a program, I should be able to continue to use it until I choose not to! If I want to update it then fine, I understand paying extra to update, but if the program is functioning and doing what I want it to, I have purchased it and own it, don't make me pay for it again!

I have beginner level computer skills but this program has been standardly used on every computer experience that I have ever had. I think that any other program would be foreign to me and make the experience harder to figure out because I don't know anything else. When I purchase a computer, this has to be standardly purchased as well so even if I don't agree with the price, I just have to suck it up. I have a 6 month subscription to use this program right now because it was the cheaper option and that is what I needed at the time because I was purchasing the computer, printer, accessories, and all other basic computer necessities that were long overdue for my household. I plan to go back later and buy the program. Of course I love windows, but I don't know anything else. I wish the price was more affordable for average households.
