    DO NOT BUY - CANNOT BE USED AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME! I bought this item from BestBuy on the Cyber Monday sales (2018) and it was a good price. I bought it with a new HP laptop. I went to set this up using the Key provided by Best Buy and it did not work. Yes, I followed the instructions, and Yes, I made sure I entered all information correctly. Etc. The error offered another link to try and it also did not work. I went to Support and read through what I could find there. No answer helped. I went to Chat with MS. At first the person kept telling me to take it back to BestBuy. I asked if they could please confirm that the problem was with BestBuy not activating the Key before I took the time & effort to haul my purchases back in to stand in line there and go through it all again with them. They could not verify whether or not the Key had been activated - which is a failure in my opinion. In this day and age of electronic information. And, he said to take it back to Best Buy, again. THEN... he finally said that it was a "bug" that was known to exist with MSOffice being sold by Third Parties such as Best Buy, that the MS Engineers were aware, and that they were still figuring it all out. Ok, so problems happen....but MS what are you going to do about it, why wasn't this communicated to Best Buy & the Third Parties, and ... what about those of us who are consumers of said product? What are we supposed to do? We spend all the $ and time figuring it will work and are given erroneous advice like just take it back to Best Buy. I never did get an answer to that question from the MS Chat tech. He offered no solutions - not even to email me when they resolved the bug. And he cut off the Chat before I could ask. So - in the end, it was not very helpful. Don't know if I can even get a refund...or perhaps a discount with purchasing it online/not through Best Buy. So - save your $ and time. If you are going to purchase MS Office, order it online through MS; don't go through a Third Party supplier. Even if you don't have the specific problem I had, you may be stuck with them pointing fingers at each other if there is a problem.

    Do not but scratch off card

    Do not buy Microsoft office with a scratch off product key. When I scratched off the product key some of the number scratched off with it so I could not install office. I tried to return it to Best Buy and they said they could not help me and gave me Microsoft’s phone number to call them. I called Microsoft and dealt with them for over three weeks. Eventually they said they could not help me because it was past the 60 day purchase day policy. This was given as a Christmas gift with a computer and was purchased a month prior to Christmas. Then it was another month before I tried to install it as I was too busy with work and just use my old computer until I had time. So it was past 60 days. What’s unfortunate is Microsoft has our money and we have no product. I could understand this policy better if we had an actual physical product for over 60 days but this did not cost them anything. I was never able to install office. Microsoft was paid money and never provided a product other than a faulty scratch off card. And then to top it all off the representative from Microsoft told me over and over how they were all about customer service but ironically they could not help me because it was against policy. Terrible terrible experience. I’ve wasted so much time dealing with this that I can’t add up the value of the hours. Ridiculous. Will look for another way to do my job without office very disappointed in the complete lack of customer service.

    I was extremely dissatisfied with this program. When I bought my new laptop I told the workers I was a student and need to purchase office. The worker didn't even show me the product he just rang it up an placed in the bag. By the time I realized he sold me a subscription to office, best buy said it was too late to return it. I am a student and I need office, not just for a year. I need it for multiple years. Not only was i dissatisfied with my purchase. When I went to install the software I had an incredibly difficult time. The product asked for an email to register it, which I provided and still to this day never received the emails to verify my account. The login had an option to change the email, so i did as instructed. Only to find out that it would take a month for the account to updated to my new email. If I could not verify my email, then I could not use the product. This was extremely frustrating because in my opinion if I bought the product, I should be able to use it no matter what. Additionally, as I have already mentioned I am a student and I can not wait a month to use office. I finally had to call Microsoft customer service, which took hours for them to help me fix the issue. I may also mention that this was after countless times of being transferred from department to department. I will NEVER trust best buy employees again and I will take my business elsewhere. The product itself works okay, but the hops I had to jump through for this product was ridiculous. I will never recommend this product to anyone nor should anyone buy a subscription to Microsoft office, waist of money.

    Nothing earth-shattering with Micro Office, but the installation was astoundingly obtuse: put in all the info and had to WAIT OVER 48 HOURS before I could download the product - and Microsofts' so-called customer service is truly abysmal: send in a request for information and have it denied because I could not supply any info regarding sent emails and/or saved files when I JUST PURCHASED a new computer and could not install the software to use it much less send emails or save files? I bought this with a cheap PC to fulfill a very large customers immediate electronic request for info that could not be fulfilled on any of my Macs: due to this fiasco with Microsoft, I had to repurchase Office online to get immediate access and fulfill my customers demands. NOT cool, NOT user-friendly, and quite frankly, I will NEVER buy software from BestBuy again - especially since, upon driving the 20 miles back to the store, they flat-out said there was nothing they could do. Nice.

    Office 365 Personal, 1-year subscription, 1 PC/Mac (Product Key Card) - Android|Mac|Windows|iOS was bought in store and left overnight (actually, for several days) with the Geek Squad for an additional fee of charge to install and put on the computer- so it would be ready for me for school and work. I've had the computer now several months and it STILL is not allowing Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. (Office Systems) to function on my Laptop. For something that I paid extra to have, and have installed by the people who sold me the product itself, it's very disheartening to not be able to use very important, everyday/daily used programs. I've had to since go through corporate and then they sent me to another 3rd party vendor to try and retrieve this product key that I was never given back, told about, or had installed correctly so that it would be already in the computer system (not needing me to FIND it and type it in).

    Keycode does not work. Best Buy customer service told me that this is an ongoing issue with this product that they have with Microsoft. They told me to contact to Microsoft directly. So I called Microsoft to request to register me online/phone, they couldn't do it because "This is an ongoing issue with the products being sold at Best Buy." Sweet. Their best recommendation to help me was that I should return the item and contact back Microsoft to purchase the item directly form them, then they'd be able to register me. My solution was to return the item and got the refund. I don't need this type of hustle.

    I do not recommend buying this Microsoft Product Key. Instead, go to Microsoft's website and purchase it there. When you buy this card you are forced to swipe a credit card for auto-renewal which you have to go online or call to cancel. The auto-renewal is NOT through Microsoft, you are committing to renew through Best Buy with the disclaimer that the price can change. Also, they have stored my credit card information and I cannot delete it myself so I have to call them and have them do it. I specifically asked the cashier if the renewal was through Microsoft or Best Buy and was told that it was Microsoft. So I recommend Office 365 but not these Product Keys that are sold by Best Buy.

    This was purchased along with a Lenovo laptop that was only available on line and not in the store. Upon receipt of the product I tried to install the software and Best Buy failed to activated the serial number through Microsoft and as such it would not install. I immediately called Best Buy and spent over 8 hours on the phone being transferred from Best Buy to Microsoft and being treated there was nothing Microsoft could do without the activation being done by Microsoft. I would then call Best Buy back and go through the same routine. I finally was able to speak with a manager who made arrangements for me to take the product into a store approximately 75 miles from my home and the replaced and installed the software but overall it was a terrible experience and I don't know if I will ever make another purchase from Best Buy

    Bought this as part of a computer bundle for my son. Previously each time I purchased software, I would receive an email that would contain the software product key. However with this purchase, I did not receive such an email, and instead received a card, delivered with the computer, that contained the product key. My son lost the card that night prior to installing the software. I contacted Best Buy customer service and requested that produce the product key to me since I still had my receipt. BestBuy customer service informed me, since they did not retain the product key information for software they sell, they could not help me. I was referred to Microsoft and they were of no help either. I paid for the software but I never was able to install it. I will never purchase MS Office 365 from Best Buy again. Microsoft customer service was no help either...

    On June 29, I had to go back to the Best Buy Store on Perimeter Drive, Charlotte, NC where I bought the bundle of a Toshiba Satellite, HP e-6320 Printer, Microsoft Office 365, Webroot, a Hotspot and the 24/7/365 Geek Squad Assistance Package on numerous occasions before Alicia and Lily (Geek Squad Agents) were finally able to successfully able to install this Microsoft Office 365 software. With Alicia's permission, we recorded her efforts on my Sony Recorder. After receiving Alicia's arduous efforts (that took a long time) the only reason I would not recommend this software to a friend was witnessing the difficulty that even a Geek had installing it. I am not a satisfied customer to say the least.

    Purchased this subscription with my new HP laptop. When I tried to install I received a message from Microsoft saying that the key code was not active. I attempted installation multiple times with the same results each time. Finally contacted Geek Support, who informed me that they could not help unless I purchased Total Support. The representative I talked to offered to transfer me to someone who could help, but only after I purchased support. Basically, I totally wasted my money on a product that I cannot use - no returns for digital products!

    Never got to use it

    I bought this software to use with my new surface pro 4. However I never got to use it as to use it I had to get the super secret codes located under this really sticky tape that tore the paper or lifted the numbers off the page so 3 of the numbers were unreadable. I could not get software loaded. Took card back for another one and Best Buy refused to give me replacement as I caused the problem. Said I could call Microsoft and they would give me the right numbers. I called Microsoft and waited on phone for 30 minutes. My experience with window 10 and office 365 have seriously made me think about Apple. Microsoft codes were fine, but put it on plastic cards that won't rip off the numbers like paper

    After purchasing a new computer and using the 1 month trial period for Office I went to put in my key code for the purchased 365 Office Personal and kept having problems with it not processing. I spent 3-1/2 hours on the phone with Microsoft being transferred to different departments, remote access to my computer 3 different times, etc. The problem was that the trial version needed to be removed before the purchased version would process...what a waste of time...so frustrated at Microsofts lack of good customer service!!!

    First, when I tried to take the tape off the code was so torn up that I could not read it. Geek squad read it on their computer and told me what it was. Second, when I tried to upload it to my computer a notice appeared that said that I should call a certain number. When I called, I was told that it could not load because I had a virus. Since it was a computer that I had just purchased from Best Buy, I returned the computer to them. They refunded the cost of the computer but would not refund the cost of the Office 365. For your info, the person at that number talked poorly of Kaspersky and tried to get me to buy another security system for $270. I would like to get my money back.

    This product messed up my Microsoft Office I already had. I thought it would nicely update it, but come to find out, you have to remove your Office from your machine. However, Microsoft says if you don't like their product, you can remove it and only pay for one month. Then you have no older product because you removed it. The Geek Squad had to put my old product back on, even though I had NOT removed it because the new one messed up my Outlook completely. And I had to pay to have it fixed . If you don't own any Microsoft Office product, then it would be fine. But not if you already have one that works on your computer. Wish I had known.

    When installing Office from the download site and entering the product code an error 'code invalid or card has not been activated' was received. Two calls to Best Buy support - first call said they activated the card; second call was no help either - still no Office on the laptop. Now I have to schlep the laptop and Office product card to a Best Buy store to see if they can remedy the situation. If not, the Office product AND new laptop that I purchased from Best Buy get returned. So since nothing is installed I cannot recommend nor not recommend the product. Not happy :-(

    Purchased with HP touch screen all in one. The PC had problems and had to return with my "bundled" purchased which I understood could be returned as a bundle which did not happen . Never got to use the product because of the return and was told that I could not return this software with my "bundled" purchase. So now I have this software that I can not use without the purchased of another PC. My receipt stated I purchased as a bundle and could return within 14 days of purchase which Best Buy did not honor on the software. I go to Best Buy because I thought I would get good advice on what to buy, but in this case, I got stuck with $54 of software that I cannot use.

    On September 08, I bought an HP laptop in your store, to which I added a Microsoft Office software paying an extra USD 50. A short time ago I returned to my country, Chile, and tried to install my Office to start working on my Laptop, however, I did not succeed, since it tells me that my Office is blocked. I tried to solve the problem directly with Microsoft, their options were to pay again 50 dollars for a new license, travel to the USA to activate my product or contact with the place that the Office sold me to evaluate a possible solution...I still wait for a solution

    My one star is not for the quality of the product, but for the expiration of it. It occurred only weeks after purchasing, when I had to change the third computer due to its problems. The product is meant to be installed in three devices, but I never owned any. It was cancelled on each return, so it should have started from the beginning. Now, instead of using it on three devices, I don't have it on any! And I paid for it!! In a mean time we were too busy moving and settling, which took more time out of the product that I have never used! And the worst of all - Best Buy can not help, and I couldn't get in touch with Microsoft.

    I purchased Office 365 for a new Windows 10 computer because a Geek Squad member said my Office 2003 would not work on Windows 10. He was wrong-Office 2003 works great. I was told that Office 365 is returnable within 14 days if it is unused (ie, it is not scratched off to reveal the key). However, you cannot get a refund if you return it. Apparently there is a glitch in the Best Buy system that computes the refund as $0.00. I've been waiting 5 weeks for a refund and have made many long phone calls to many different people at Best Buy. No one has yet been able to resolve the problem. Yikes.
