Familiar interface, easy to install- priced right!

Microsoft made it very easy for me to install the full Microsoft Office Suite on my new home computer. Plus it comes with a bunch of other features that are icing on the cake. Office 365 Personal is simple to buy and download. Gone are the days when I’d have to drive to the store, find the software I wanted somewhere in the giant superstore, deal with the checkout line and driving back home to install the software from CD’s. The ability to download and install right from my home is so convenient! I did have a little bit of a hiccup while installing, which wasn’t a big deal but it did add a few more steps to the installation process. I downloaded the Office 365 installer, and launched it. Immediately the installer halted and alerted me that I had an outdated version of Office on my machine. That was true! I’d had an old version of Office on CD that I had installed, but decided it was so old that it wasn’t worth using. So before installing the 365 version I needed to uninstall the old version. After doing that I returned to the installation, and this time it went smoothly and effortlessly. Before long I was up and running, the first application I ran was Microsoft Word. All the .doc files on my storage drive were now completely readable and editable. Same for all my .xls files, my spreadsheets came up perfectly and were formatted correctly. There are a few free applications available online that provide many of the same type of applications that Office by Microsoft provides. But none are as refined, or as feature rich as Office. For a small amount of money, it is totally worth it to own (or lease) Office 365. I set up Outlook as my email reader to use instead of my service provider’s version. It is so much better! It is certainly partially because I’ve used Outlook for years at work, so I know it very well. Having all my personal email at home using the Outlook interface is just a great and intuitive solution. Powerpoint is something I’d normally only use at work, but I’m finding more and more uses for it at home. Particularly with the Office 365 version, which has all types of new features and upgrades. I have been astounded by how good PowerPoint has become in creating graphic materials. It’s very powerful, and I love using it. There are many other features and bonuses that Office 365 can boast of. I was looking for the familiar interface that I know so well after many years of using it at work. I didn’t want to relearn some new application. Microsoft made it simple of me to get up and running quickly, and I think the price is right. But be aware this is an annual subscription. So you will get charged a renewal fee year after year. I’m still saying it’s a steal because Microsoft will continue to push updates to the suite to keep it up to date and feature rich. Along with the applications I’ll use the most of (Word, Excel and Outlook), you also get PowerPoint, OneNote, and even 1TB of storage online. I run this on my PC running Windows 10. But you can also install this on an Apple Mac, or a system running and iOS or Android OS. There’s so much technology here! If you need office-type applications at home do yourself a favor and skip the free office suites. Yes, those do the basic job just fine. But none are as refined as Office 365, none are more tightly integrated and none are more widely accepted as the premier way to create productivity documents. Good job Microsoft! Great product! Priced Right!

I’ve been super happy with Office 365 over the years and take advantage of most the applications in the suite. This subscription has persisted with me even past my time at university due to the sheer convenience and organization that it provides in my day-to-day. First, integration is an important selling point with Office 365 and you get the most bang for your buck experience-wise when you utilize the Microsoft Launcher app for Android and the mobile app suite. Additionally, I personally use outlook.com as my email and calendar service so all useful information is synced over to my phone and easy to see at glance. OneNote is the application I use the most for everything from simple notes, to-do lists, and recipes. The drawing tools are especially useful when text just doesn’t cut it. Recognition technology makes it easy to search through my notes to rediscover an idea I had – it makes an excellent digital diary! OneDrive is the singular cloud storage app that I use – I have my photos to automatically sync from my phone and I utilize it for backing up files on my computer. For the most part all my files aside from PC applications are stored here and thus far the included 1 TB has been more than enough. This is massively convenient for other reasons as I explain later. I don’t find myself using PowerPoint often, but Word and Excel see daily usage for work documents and tracking my finances. The main selling point of the subscription is having the latest up-to-date version along with exclusive features such as the new speech-to-text “Dictate” function. This is only going to get better with the integration of features like Cortana and LinkedIn. Finally, Office also has some great collaborative functions that make it great for working with friends to plan trips and parties. It’s a great tool that makes it super easy to plant events! Circling back to my first point – all the stuff I just described syncs effortlessly to your phone for easy access and on-the-go editing with the help of OneDrive. It has resulted in huge time savings for me when I have the ability to find something right from my phone verses having to go back home to my PC. Overall, I think in terms of features and convenience, Office 365 offers tremendous value and is almost a necessity for productivity in my day-to-day. I certainly could imagine living without it.

PRO's of 365: 1. Price - If you are comparing 365 to the Office Professional then spending $100 VS $400 (or even $219 for Office Home/Business) is tempting. What really adds to the temptation of 365 is that you can install it on 5 machines as opposed to one machine on the other platforms. So if you need office on your home computer, laptop, and the kids school computer - office 365 may be the route to take; And you would still have 2 licenses left. If you make full use of the 5 licenses you are only paying $1.66 per month per computer. 2. FULL office suite. Your get all 7 software pieces found in Office Pro - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Access. 3. Virtual Office - If for whatever reason you don't have your computer with you, you can access 'office on demand'. This will stream a copy of office to any internet connected machine and you can access your files via sky drive. Nice if you are at someones house / public internet terminal. 4. No longer cloud only - In the past 365 was a cloud only app - the software had limited features and capabilities compared to the full desktop versions, and if you didn't have an Internet connection you didn't have Office. No more though, you run the real software on your machine locally - so if you are on a plane, or without internet you can still use the product. 5. "Free" Upgrades - With 365 you are leasing the latest version. So as long as you maintain your subscription, in a few years when the next version comes out you will be able to upgrade without having to 're-buy' office. Cons: 1. You are 'locked in' - Every year you must renew your lease if you want continued functionality. You will still be able to view your documents and notes, but if you don't renew you loose the ability to edit them. 2. Tablet support - 365 works well on Win 8 tablets, but no support yet for Android or Apple. 3. Price - There is no price guarantee, what is $100 this year may be $149 next year. Although I don't see Microsoft pulling any "Gotchas!" with this product. They already know there is some pretty stiff free competition by Google and Open Office. I think the $100 price point is here for at least 2 years perhaps 3, then we will see a sales pitch to "renew early and avoid the price increase to 119".

Office 365 is much more than just getting the desktop versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It's an entire ecosystem that gives you access to your documents and information everywhere you go. For your desktop, Office 365 not only provides the applications that you've known and loved for years: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher (maybe not so much love for the latter two), but it gives you regular updates and the latest versions during your subscription. No need to pay for upgrades. The 2016 versions of these apps are well designed, feature complete, user friendly and run fast. Windows and Mac versions are included, no need to buy a separate license for the platform of your choice. For your mobile life, Office 365 gives you access to these same applications on Android, iOS and Windows tablets and phones. On these mobile platforms, Office apps are more complete than any other mobile office platform that I've seen. When not at your own computer, Office for Web and Outlook.com give you access to limited versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint in the browser of your choice (Edge, Chrome, Safari, etc.). Web versions run just like their desktop counterparts so no learning curve is needed. Office for Web is also your go-to solution when using Chromebooks. But beyond the applications yourself, Office 365 ties all of your data together with the apps using OneDrive. The O365 subscription gives each user 1 terabyte (that one thousand gigabytes) of storage in the Cloud. Office apps can access OneDrive directly without the files being synced or downloaded to your PC, Mac, phone or tablet so editing can be done in real time. What's more is that OneDrive's sharing capabilities allow you to collaborate and simultaneously edit documents in real time with friends and colleagues. Finally, the OneDrive app for iOS and Android allows you to auto-upload full-size photos and videos to OneDrive, as well as share, organize and edit. And last, but not least, Office 365 gives each user 1 hour of Skype calls per month. These calls can be made using a Skype number to landline or mobile phones anywhere in the world. And of course there's Outlook.com, which is your one-stop-shop for email, contacts, calendar and access to Office for Web. Microsoft's vision for the Cloud came together very quickly and with a great deal of thought. It's a great implementation that compliments their desktop offerings rather than compete with them and Office 365 is a vital addition to anyone's daily computing life.

Climbing aboard the 'subscription based' platform was much easier than I had anticipated. I own copies of the persistent license products across a few machines but opted to install 365 Personal on my newest laptop. A few years back I tried the Personal edition and wasn't very satisfied with the 'click-to-run' processes but I can say that with the most current platform, things do seem to be more seamless. I'll outline several bullets of my observations: - Following the simple directions to install from the /setup webpage was much easier this time around, where the selection of the 64bit version was clear and precise. -The entire installation process was pretty quick and without hiccups. -The introduction of the new dark theme is very appealing on a laptop platform. -Having the core programs plus Outlook, Access and Publisher over the basic Home key card product is a tremendous value for the annual renewal price. I use Publisher quite a lot for personal projects, it's quick & intuitive and I've very happy it is included. Access on the other hand ... I probably won't use. -The added benefit of having new features readily available throughout the subscription period is a big bonus vs. the persistent license route. -It's still too early to tell but I am hopeful that the ongoing update path will be smooth & painless ... unlike the bungled Windows 10 twice-a-year updates for 2018. If you have a lot of computers in your arsenal/home, the $99 plan is even a better value. Recommended!

Was able to install this software without a problem. Smooth and easy, and it works great. The programs within Microsoft Office are familiar to me since I have grown up using them and have knowledge about them on a PC. This new version of Office 365 on my laptop PC is fantastic. The programs load quickly and work efficiently. I am an at home light to medium user of the Office platform programs. Word works great for me and is so intuitive to be able to navigate and understand. The program allows me to process simple word processing to advanced templates I need for professional looking documents. Excel is great for my purposes of tracking budgets and finances in a simple easy view format. This program allows for so many advanced features that I'm not even fully aware of. I really need to brush up on some online tutorials for unleashing all of Excel's capability. Powerpoint works great for my needs of processing slideshow decks for work related activities. This version of Powerpoint is much better than previous versions I have used about 5 years ago. It allows for smooth and clean presentations and I can make my slides really stand out and keep the attention of an audience. Access is great and took me some time to learn since I don't use it all that much. I can see how Access would be a fantastic database software for business purposes and be able to track so much history and information. Outlook works smoothly and integrated all my emails easily in a simple view. Office 365 is a great suite to make use of business function programs for office or home use. I have truly been enjoying this new version versus the previous versions I have used in the past.

Seems like every time I turn around there are more and more apps, programs, or services available that claim to provide people with a [knockoff] version of programs like Microsoft word, PowerPoint, etc. But I have learned over the years when I would attempt to use those knockoffs that it really was not worth it to use them. For example, roughly 8 years ago I had a school assignment that involved creating a PowerPoint to later present to the class. I was one of “those” people who at the time did not have Microsoft office/PowerPoint at home, so I used a “knockoff” program, had tons of text and pictures in the PowerPoint, and when it came time to present, open the file with Microsoft in class and sure enough it was not compatible and my PowerPoint was blank. After that embarrassment I swore I would always use genuine Microsoft products for anything going forward and I have not regretted it. Now that I am out of school, my uses of Microsoft programs are not as frequent, but I still like to have access to it, thus what brought me to this option. As my story proves, you really cannot go wrong with getting genuine Microsoft products no matter what you use is, but if you are someone like me who does not have the highest demands, this type of subscription was what was best for me and I am very happy with it. It meets my needs perfectly and I do not feel like there is a bunch of stuff included that is wasted. You really cannot beat the price for the access you get to the variety of programs and again, it is a genuine Microsoft product! Highly recommend!

I have had 3 Toshiba laptops and was always happy with them. Just bought the new 15.6 satellite radius 2 in 1. The first one had 8.1 and I did the windows 10 upgrade and lost the mouse. Unfortunately Toshiba's drivers were not compatible with Windows 10 yet. I had the Geek Squad down grade it back to 8.1. When I went back they told me the driver was now available and I could have it upgraded back to. WINDOWS 10. Went to pick it up and same problem no mouse and it took way to long to start up. The tech realized it was a lemon and I was very frustrated. I had only bought it a month ago and with all the issues had not much of a chance to use it. He spoke to the manager and got us a more updated one already equipped with Windows 10. Took it home and I am very happy with it. I want to thank Anthony at the Salem N. H. BEST BUY. He went above and beyond to address our issue and. get us a new updated laptop even though our exchange period had expired on the other one. He made sure the laptop was up and running perfectly for us. I am really enjoying this laptop. It is fast, amazing stereo sound and beautiful screen color quality. It is the Toshiba Satellite Radius 2 in 1 P55W C5204. Amazing and elegant design. Sometimes you get a lemon but I really appreciate that Anthony made sure we were given a new upgraded version of the laptop without me having to ask. The Toshiba is a very versatile laptop that can be used in 5 position modes including tablet mode. I would recommend this laptop. I have always been a Toshiba fan. I always buy my laptops at Best Buy. The Geek Squad coverage plan is well worth the price. They are great in person and over the phone for tech support.

So, here we are with Office 365. After using some other office products, including free options, I just felt there were always features missing. The return to Microsoft Office had me reaching for the credit card, but you get you pay for. The installation was easy enough through Windows 10, the required key is typical, but no problems from start to finish. With my subscription, I am able to install up to 5 machines, a nice step up from single purchases for single users...that can really save small businesses some money if they buy new computers every 2 or 3 years. I was even able to log in Microsoft Office Online on my old Chromebook, which can't get anymore software updates from Google. All the robust features for documents, spread sheets, and mail are available, it even seems Microsoft removed some bloating....opening, saving, and closing the apps seemed quicker. Of course, great template selection if you don't want to create from scratch your own documents. I think it's easier to say that if you want the best, you have to pay for it. Nothing against free stuff, but it doesn't always give you that accomplished feeling. The subscription is based on yearly renewals, I have no problem with that.

Whether you have a Mac, PC, iPad, or some other device that runs Microsoft office. Officer is better than any other program made. This suite of software is used by almost every profession, school, and just people in there everyday home. The question is how to get the program. Microsoft offers one time downloads but once the program becomes outdated then you have to buy the suite all over again. Hands down Microsoft Office 365 is the way to go. Anytime there is a new update you get the latest software. It also allows you to download all of the Microsoft programs. Possibly my favorite feature is Onedrive. With this subscription you get cloud based storage of 1TB. Every windows PC comes with OneDrive integrated into the software. Onedrive is great because you can access your files from any device that has internet. With this subscription you get more than enough storage to store pictures, documents and anything else you might need to have easy access to. I recommend this subscription to everyone because you just pay for it and everything is included you do not have to worry about buying the latest and greatest you just simply update and you will have it.

I bought the Office subscription when I bought a new Lenovo laptop. Six weeks in, I was having issues (unrelated to Office) and Lenovo support told me (wrongly, it turns out) that I had to reset my computer to the default settings. After I did that, I mentioned that I was concerned about my Office subscription and Lenovo (again, wrongly) said they could put the 1 yr subscription back on the computer. Instead, they cancelled my existing subscription AND only gave me a 30-day trial. Then Best Buy's Geek Squad emailed me and said that since I had "purchased" an Office subscription from another retailer, I would no longer get Geek Squad support. I called and spent half an hour explaining to Best Buy what happened. They said that even if Office fixed it and got my original subscription back, Best Buy would not provide support unless I purchased, at full price, another year subscription. This is their policy. I asked for a supervisor and, after 23 minutes on hold, I was told he was too busy to talk to me. Office did fix the issue and simply re-installed it on my laptop; the very helpful woman also said they will provide support if needed. Moral of this story: don't rely on Best Buy for support of this product (oh, and don't buy a Lenovo computer).

I purchased office 365 personal last month and it was easy to install. Just typing the code from the front of the card You receive. I honestly did a mistake in the installation process and retyping the code more than one time caused an error in downloading the software on my computer. Don’t do my mistake, just inter the number given to you once and you’re all set to a whole new world of easy work on the computer. The service member agent had been trying to reach me via email to help me with the instructions to finish the installation to the program. But I have been busy and haven’t had the time to sit down to respond to the them to finish it. And that what really is nice about the whole thing. They are determined to make each one of us have a peace of mind knowing they are there to assist us with our computer work just because we purchased their product.

I use Office 365 Personal primarily for word processing. I started writing a book on a Windows platform. Afterwards, I migrated my work to an Apple computer. MS Word has a similar look and feel on both systems with two exceptions. I often find myself needing to use the Apple Desktop menu in conjunction with the menu that comes with MS Word. Also, the Table of Contents on the Apple computer gets a little wonky at times; it fades out, but eventually recovers. These are system or migration issues, not a critique of the product. In that regard, I could not find another Office systerm that rivals M.S. Word or Outlook. Word is easy to learn. It has styles (headers) that facilitate good formating. In addition, the developers at Microsoft are continually improving - or adding to - the features in Outlook email. I cannot offer a fair critique of the Excel Spreadsheet or the PowerPoint presentation designer, since it's been over a year since I've used them. I can only say that I would rate the Numbers spreadsheet for Apple and their Keynote presentation designer superior to both Windows products, if Microsoft hasn't made any significant improvements in their products over the past year.

    The Standard of Business/Student Software

This is the standard software for most businesses, classrooms, etc and for good reason. Office, PowerPoint, Excel, all of the above. The download was very simple and included links sent directly to your phone to download the mobile versions. I had previously been using the Google equivalents, and although they did their job, it was a royal pain converting and editing forms that I exchanged with clients from my home based business. Now having the Microsoft Office, everything integrates flawlessly and has made life so much easier. On top of that, I have access to my spreadsheets, invoices, and the like all on my phone and can instantly send them without having to lug my laptop around. So much easier on all aspects! Now the entire 1 year "lease" has me less than thrilled, but we will see how I feel at the one year mark. Ultimately, you can try and find ways around owning MS Office, but if you want to be really productive, this set of programs is a must have.

There isn’t much to say about this Office 365 Personal (1 Person) (12-Month Subscription-Auto Renew) for Android, Mac, Windows, and iOS aside from the fact that it simply does what is says it does. The 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage that is included with the typical Office apps is a nice bonus and really comes in handy. When I activated my subscription, I was given the option to add an extra month to the subscription if I simply activated auto-renew for the subscription. Considering you can turn the auto-renew right back off after accepting the offer, I think this is a pretty good deal. You can always disable the auto-renew at any point during the subscription period and you should receive a notification shortly before the subscription is due to renew if you leave it on accidentally. Either way, you essentially get 13 months of Office use for the price of 12 while also getting 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. This is a great deal and I highly recommend it!

I started "subscribing" to Microsoft Office 365 a few years ago. It has made things so much easier. The thing that I actually like the most is being able to back up all of my documents and photos and being able to access them anywhere on the 1TB of One Drive storage. What I like second is not having to upgrade to the newest software because it's already included. I have to say that I have not had any problems with my Microsoft software subscriptions since I have been subscribing. And most importantly, I have not lost one single picture or document in the past few years either as everything is always backed up on OneDrive. Here are some of the other things I like about the Office 365 subscription: Easy to install Includes up to 5 devices Always the newest software Includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote, Acsess and Publisher This is the way to go for your Microsoft software!

for people who are always busy OFFICE makes it so easy to keep q reliable calendar that syncs with all of your Devices. I to some small handy man worth and I'm easily able to write and print invoices. I take my surface Pro tablet and have the customer sign the invoice digitally then I email them a copy of the receipt immediately and have it print a copy to my wireless printer so the person at the office can send u hard copy in the mail. The PDF viewer that comes with office makes it so easy to fill out Legal forms: Digital signature has always been ok. There's all kinds of things like excel and PowerPoint, publisher, word, OneNote and 1tb of cloud space is included for a year.. every document I make on my pc automatically goes to the cloud and I can pick up my calendars and notes and alarms/reminders etc.. all on my phone or tablet anytime.. Its a very big part of the whole experience to let this technology make these projects fast and even fun. I'm planning to use this at school to capture the power point presentations and write my notes right on top of the pdfs.

Excellent productivity software package. All you need in one, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Installation was a breeze. All I needed to do was login into my Microsoft account and if you use that login for up to 5 devices, you can use office on all of them. I have a desktop pc, a laptop and mobile device (apps are both for ios or android). I sign into windows 10 with my same microsoft account, so I installed the package in all of them and they are all linked seamlesly. You can save a document in your Onedrive (which, by the way, storage goes up to 1TB with this subscription) and you can have your docs in the cloud. They also give you an offer that if you enable auto renew (must have a credit card on file), they give you a free extra month (it would renew yearly). You also get 60 minutes of skype so you can make international calls voip. All this for this price makes the package a great deal!

Offering a discount price when purchased with a computer is a wonderful help. The updates allow editing with fewer strokes. Everything is easier to access, all the tabs are more sensible than the previous editions. Choosing typefaces is easier seeing them as you scroll over them. The 'review' tab categories are easier than ever to use and make corrections. This is such a step up. Kudos Microsoft! You didn't just put out another product because it 'was time'. You have made your excellent product even better. Plus, my computer broke down so, until I just recently purchased a computer, I was using an older computer running Linux as the operating system. While Linux could not read many of my Microsoft documents or do almost any graphics, Microsoft flawlessly translated everything that I had to do while I was using Linux, editing and making sense of everything. Its been my lingua franca. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I already had Office 365 Personal and it was about to auto renew through Microsoft since you never know what to expect with their billing (like Skype charges coming from the UK and getting charged a foreign transaction fee from your bank) I went to buy a prepaid card at Best Buy. It normally costs 69.99 for a year but I noticed on Amazon it was on sale for $61 so Best Buy gave that price through their price match guarantee. Regarding the software, last year was the first time since Office Home and Student 2007 that I upgraded and I love how much more you get now like Outlook, Access, 1000 GB of Onedrive storage and 60 minutes monthly with of anywear minuteswith SKype in addition the the regular apps that come with a nonsubscriptionplan. Plus you automatically get the latest software upgrades while you have an active subscription. Also if you have more than one computer or person in your household you can get Home edition which gives you all the same benefits as Personl but for 5 people instead including 5 times storage for $99.
