Each time i buy a laptop for my nieces & nephews, I always install an Office Home & Student. Having Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in one digital key card is an awesome deal. Especially for apps that students do need for school. Very easy to download. And if you buy your computer from Best Buy, most likely you’ll get a bundle discount when you buy Office Home & Student with it.

Coming back to Microsoft Office after 6 Years

I used to used Microsoft Office only for the program, Microsoft Word, for my writing. I came back to Microsoft Office 2019 after not using the program since 2013 and after having adapted to the cruel Pages application on my MacBook. It feels faster, refreshed, and more fluid than Pages. I'm glad I came back to this because it is the definitive program to use for writing. I love it and am glad not much had changed.

I bought a new desktop and needed to add Office. I didn't want to buy the monthly product where I have to keep paying every single month for the rest of my life so I opted for this one time payment product. It's all I'll ever need until the next time I buy a new computer. Word perfect is about all I really wanted but you get everything else with it obviously. No issues.

Bought this to go along with my new Surface Pro. I hate buying these Office products, but I need the functionality that Word and Excel provide. I also hate to get into subscription services (like Office 360) that tie you in for life and end up costing you a lot more in the long run. I realize with the subscription services that you may get access to newer features along the way, but I'm comfortable with that.

Microsoft office has been my choice for over 30 years and I wanted a copy that was a one time payment. I never like the issue of renewals that the Office 365 offers. This copy might not be the latest after 4-5 years, but offers me everything I need. Probably overkill for what I need. Whenever I purchase a new PC, an Apple Imac in this case, I always purchase the office product to make sure my files (of over 30 years) are still usable.

Yes, there are MS OIffice knock-offs out there, but there are always limitations, missing features and not the same functionality. Make sure you are aware of the differences between Office and Office 365. MS Office is for one specific machine... a one time purchase... Office 365 is licensed to YOU..so you can use it wherever your Microsoft account is.. plus you can use it on your phone etc...BUT..there is an annual renewal fee

I received my Office, Home and Student 2019 as a free 1 year subscription download! Yes I said Free...With the purchase of my computer and what a great gift it is! I can get alot of paperwork done, even make greeting cards for events. I use Word the most, it's my favorite program to use. This is a great program for any student or business. I will definitely be renewing my subscription!

    Full Permanent License

This is a non-subscription license for Microsoft Office with the basic suite of software, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. If this is all you need then this is worth it. I have I loaded on a new computer maxed out specs, so if this machine lasts 5+ years, then this license will be worth it. But if your machine life span is less than two years, the subscription is the better monetary deal.

Bought last pc 7 yrs ago. It came with Microsoft Office. When I had to buy a new pc, nobody told me it didn't. I paid $35 pc setup fee. Assumed when I got it home, I'd have office, everything set up. Seems I paid $35 for nothing. Had to unplug pc, go back and pay another $150 to get Office. Just wasn't explained when I bought new pc. Seemed all they were interested in was trying to sell me a $200/yr maintenance plan.

After several years doing all my spreadsheets, docs and creatives with open source software, I went back to Office because of a deal at the store when I bought my new computer. True to form, PP, Excel and Word are all performing as well or better than expected. Couldn't be happier!! And, the deal was so good I also bought the program for a friend who is up for promotion, but needs to brush up on her skills!

I had purchased a computer and windows as a packaged deal. When i entered the code it said the product would expire ten days from the purchase date. I returned the computer because it wasn’t what we wanted. The costumer service person said we were just out of luck!! So now I have an expired new windows which was suppose to be for a year and no computer.

Microsoft’s Office Home and Student 2019, updated for Windows 10 offers users a suite that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Easy to use, these well-known apps support word processing, work with spreadsheets, and preparation of presentations. Classic, but still the go-to for many . . . it's familiar, it’s easy to set up on your computer, and it doesn't incur monthly subscription fees.

    Better than Office 365

I chose to purchase Microsoft Office rather than do the annual Office 365 subscription. There are pros and cons to each, so it depends on intentions. Purchase Office and you own it. Whereas 365 requires annual renewals. 365 does offer updates as long as your subscription is active, whereas Office discontinue updates 60 days after purchase.

This is the classic package. The whole Office 365 is quite annoying to me with the updates with connecting to the subscription online and etc. But this, it is what I remember. Just what you need for a Master's Thesis and no hassle. I had the Geek Squad install it on my new computer for me and it works without a hitch. Best bang for your buck for what most people need in my opinion.

I downloaded the software without issue. The serial number was applied turning on the software. It is the same set of software you can get through other means but this worked out fine. I did get $20 off buying this with a new desktop computer. Also, I wanted a lifetime license instead of their annual subscription fee. There is about a two year payback.

I'm very upset. I ordered this online because I didn't want to go to the store. Someone didn't scan it into the computer so that I can access it. I did call the 800 number and after talking to 3 different people they decided I have to go to a store and have the product scanned. I'm not happy. I won't buy this online, again.

I tried to install the Office Home & Student on a new laptop. But I got an error message saying that the key doesn't begin with "N". I tried to return the card but the manager wouldn't refund me because I had already scratched off the layer covering the product key. How are you supposed to input the key without uncovering it?

I got this single-device basic Office app to get going on my basic business computing work, as soon as I set up my new HP-Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop also from Best Buy. With the combined purchase, the Office came at a discount. This is a value-for-money buy. I just miss Access, Visio, among others that come with the full pack. But I can get these separately when the need arises.

My mom is used to Word. For various reasons we got her an Apple MacIntosh desktop and it was difficult for her to access documents via Documents (she is 85). I added Word (and had to pay for Excel and PowerPoint even though I did not want them) to her Mac and found out that you have to access documents the exact same way you do in Documents. So — we are back where we started. Wasted my money.

This suite of basic presentation, text, and arithmetic tools is more than adequate to handle the things a curious retiree like me can write-up, read the many files I download, track projects, or review the financial data provided by the vast number of financial and banking websites. You simply get a lot of what you can use for a variety of research/study things for a reasonable amount of money.
