    There was an error with the code and the whole process has been a giant headache. While this has been in limbo, I've been depending on Google Docs etc., and honestly, not sure I would even go back to Word at this point.

    Kinda weird buying a $100+ small piece of cardboard with a code to download off the internet but it worked. Didn't come with instructions and obviously you must have internet connection...I would bet a beginner would definitely be confused lol!

    Redemption seemed easy enough but for some reason it wouldn't connect to my Microsoft account to verify my purchase code. I had to log in and out about 7 times before it finally worked but now all is well.

    Being as careful as I possibly could to CAREFULLY expose the key code (for installation), part of the code was STILL unreadable. Took WAY TOO LONG . . . and was WAY TOO INVOLVED to get it resolved.

    I couldn't use it with the computer that I tried installing it in and best buy would give me a refund after the code was scratched from the card. Do not purchase unless your are 100% sure it will work for you and your system.

    Purchased this online and got into so much drama! Scratched off the code and it did not work. Called up Best Buy for support and they passed me on to Microsoft. I was back and forth with Microsoft and they still could not figure out why it would not work. After almost a month, I took it in to a Best Buy store to return. They figured out that the online shipment process was not done correctly. They did not activate the card prior to shipping. UGH!

    I bought the software for our new computer. I am not really fond of not getting a disc to load my own software, but the online downloading is fine. I like the old way better. I had to actually take the card back to best buy, after trying to load the first one for over an hour with a Microsoft engineer tech. The product codes couldn't be found by Microsoft. They gave me a case number to provide to Best Buy when I returned it to get a new card. Best Buy gave me a new card after explaining the situation. They were really nice about it and we couldn't understand why Microsoft did not have their own product codes loaded into their own system....The 2nd card worked like a charm and I have all of my new Microsoft software loaded on my computer...shouldn't it be cheaper for customers if they just buying a card to download their products online? something should cost less...$100

    Good upgrade but be careful

    The new Office is easy to use and all my old documents were saved. However, my computer was hacked while I was installing it. After entering the 25 digit code, a message appeared on the screen informing me that the installation was halted because there were problems with malware in the computer. If I called a number on the screen, someone would help me fix the problems and complete the installation. Assuming it was Microsoft technical people that I was talking to, I turned over the computer to them so they could "fix" the problem. I finally woke up when they tried to charge me a few hundred dollars for their "help" and my credit cards would not allow the charge. By this time they probably had time to download all sorts of private information that could be used fraudulently. We immediately canceled the credit cards and changed passwords for our banking. We also took the iMac to the Geek squad for them to clean up the computer and install another Office upgrade. So far we have only lost the price of the original Office that got us into trouble, but we have spent hours changing passwords, user names, etc. on as many websites as we thought could be of benefit to the hackers. I hate to think what could have happened if our credit cards had allowed the payment they asked for. So if you purchase software such as Office and try to install it yourself be aware that the bad guys are out there in case you fall for their "help" like I did.I hope this review saves others from making the same mistake I made.

    I had the old Word 2007 or whatever it was on my old laptop. It also had Excel. o I know the basics. I now need an "Office 2019 for Dummies" to figure out the programs I don't know. It will take me some time to get proficient in all parts of this product. . I had a rough start--partly my fault. I bought the laptop and software online. I knew I would need a key code to access this product, which was already loaded on the laptop. But I couldn't find the car I was supposed to have with the code. It took 2 trips to the Best Buy store to even see what it looked like. They said look inside the bag (I did ) and inside the box the laptop came in. @@@@@@@@ I did. @@@@@@@ Could find nothing. Turns out they had taped it to the outside of the laptop box, bending it over a corner partially obscuring what it was. If they hadn't shown me what one looked like in the store I may never had found it. Yes, I am no geek. : @@@@@@@
