Kinda weird buying a $100+ small piece of cardboard with a code to download off the internet but it worked. Didn't come with instructions and obviously you must have internet connection...I would bet a beginner would definitely be confused lol!

Transitioning from an IMAC to word has been challenging. Seems instructional materials are rarely included these days. I find it cumbersome to have to do your user research on the internet.

Classic problem with Microsoft Word... Hidden programing glitches with web page transfers. Microsoft programmers have never been known for creating clean programming.

I like the old days of inserting a disk and loading the product. It took 3 tries and a total of six hours to download the product. And I could not find a single phone number to call for help and the internet material was of no help at all.

Excel has a protection feature on it which I could not figure out add rows into my spreadsheet. It kept deleting my previous rows and wouldn't save my changes. No help on the internet or in the help Manuel through excel on this issue! Ended up just using google spreadsheets for free!

I'm not sure how to rate this because once it was installed its just fine. Installing it on my MacBook Pro Thunderbolt was a nightmare. Thought it was just my slow internet speed(24 hrs later still hadn't downloaded after repeated deleting and starting over) but when I took it to my daughters it still took us 2 hours to figure it out. Hence, the 3 star rating. I wish there was a "depends" for recommendations.

This was my first time installing and using office 2019. Microsoft has changed a few things on the installation process with the idea it would prevent people from getting more than one copy of office installed on their PC. However it caused multiple issues preventing me from installing a copy of Outlook provided by an employer. The installer does not allow you to install Microsoft Office as well as Standalone Office Products such as a copy of Outlook or PowerPoint that is purchased separately. It also won't let you install office via the Internet and then use a disc or download to install another program as it restricts you from using multiple types of media. I called Microsoft about this and they had no solutions. So when you buy office 2019 buy the version that includes everything you need or you won't be able to add single products later. I ended up using Thunderbird for email even though I had a paid copy of Outlook available to me. It seems that over the last couple versions of office more and more compatibility and installation issues have started to occur.

I just purchased the new microsoft office and Im very pleased with it. I had not purchased microsoft office in awhile and I noticed some cool new features. For one, microsoft provides a service that comes with MO called OneDrive, which is there cloud service. This is a neat new feature of MO because everytime you save something in the program it gives you the option of saving it in the cloud, "OneDrive," or on your hard drive. Furthermore, I purchased this product to work on my resume. MO provides excellent templates to create a modern resume and cover letter. In addition, it has templates in excel to help you organize and mange your finances. I highly recommend MO because the tools it provides are essential to anyone. Some people don't like paying for MO and like to use googles free versions of these services but you cannot work on those offline and you rely on your web browsers to utilize those programs. Anyone serious in getting all they can out of their computers I believe should own Microsoft Office especially with the new upgrades!

I am a causal user of the MS Office products dating back several years. I've had limited previous experience with Word, Power Point and Excel both on MAC and Windows operating systems. First: Installation. After logging in to the MS account, it went fairly smoothly although it did take some time at my internet speed to download the program. Nevertheless, it was accomplished on one setting and it downloaded and worked. Second: It's a perpetual subscription, no annual fee or renewal costs although it lacks updates and new features offered on their subscription services. It also lacks Outlook, Publisher and Access applications and it limited to download on just one device. Hopefully MS will continue to offer this type of service for those who need only the "basic" or "essential" applications. Third: importing files from previous version was no problem and it went smoothly. Fourth: It contains the essentials: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. My experience with Word, Power Point, Excel was intuitive based on experience with prior versions. The spell check and grammar check functions work well. Summary: It was a welcome update to the previous versions, remained intuitive with new features for those who want to explore and build on the classic use.
