This recorder is great for casual recording. I use it to capture my kids voices while they're young. They often assume it's just a cell phone lying on the table.

Easy to use, the sound quality is fine. I use it for recording choral rehearsals. I like the built-in thumb drive, though I as still trying to figure out how to play recording through the USB port in my car.

The Olympus Recorder does a good job of recording a speaker in a seminar situation. It has remarkable sound clarity for such a small device.

I needed a recorder to document a very important meeting. It performed as expected. Great feature being able to plug into USB port directly without a need for cables.

I have used it a couple of times , and the recordings were crystal clear even though it was under my coat. The buttons were kind of small for my fingers,was the only negative I can think of.

The recorder is great it has folders in it that you use to keep information separate. But very handy and small fits right in my purse or pocket.

The Olympus - WS-Series Digital Voice Recorder - Black is great!

Instructions were not clear. Device did not allow you to stop and start recording without starting over. Volume was very low.

The pickup sound quality on the microphone is about 7.5 out of 10, but the overall quality and ease of use ranks 9.5.

it is very compact and I got the mike cord for my ear, so easy to record calls also. very handy for meetings . would recommend. I am still learning all of the features it has

If you tweak the setting for the situation ahead of time you can get great performance out of this device. Even if you don't adjust settings it is well above just using your phone.

I am in school and use this for recording my lectures! It does a wonderful job and playback is nice. I love that I can plug it into my computer!

Works well when you can figure out what to do to make it work for you. It's better than others I have tried, and size is nice.

Easy, Intuitive. Reliable. This is my second recorder. First failed. I cannot worry about potential failure. It must work 100% of time. This was great. Easily plugs into laptop for transfer and upload.

The playback is tiny through the speakers but the layout is easy to learn, wish it had a special software like Sony has with their recorder to upload the files.

This was a deal of the day and with my reward certificate a no brainer purchase. Works fine and lots of features.

I love this recorder. its very sensitive, has usb hook up, making it easy to transfer files to computer. however expensive, but well worth the money.
