My son used this microphone to record his music for a scholarship audition. It did the job. It was better than the microphone attached to the camera. I am sure there are others out there that are better, but for the price and probably a one time use, it did the job.

The soft piece allows it to muzzle out a lot of sound too, perfect for recording a conversation, or as in my case, audio in high definition to go along with video productions.

Arrived at Best Buy quickly. Works as a one- dimensional microphone so will be good for one person speaking at a time. A little bit shorter lanyard than I thought it would be. All in all, not a bad first lavalier microphone.

Quality is average, especially for the cost. The mic is plastic (a bit cheap feeling) and not metal, and sound quality could be better too.

This microphone picks up sound really real. I can set it up in my bedroom and it picks from my living room (about 35 to 50 ft)

Purchased this microphone to use in conjunction with a newly installed Android Head Unit. Voice recognition with this microphone is remarkable. I cannot comment on sound coloration because I only use it for voice entry for GPS or web browser. I am very pleased with the quality of this microphone.
