After doing much research, I decided that a micro four thirds camera would suit my needs for taking nice photos while having a light and compact kit for traveling. So far I’ve gotten excellent photos while hiking as well as in urban environments, and the size was much appreciated compared to the DSLRs and APS-Cs some friends had. The only downside is in extreme lowlight situations, but I also need some more lenses, which could help. All in all, this was a great purchase for my needs.

I've been fiddling with photography for a while now, but this is my first mirror less camera. I find it takes great pictures, even with the stock lens. I'd definitely recommend it to others. Get used to it first, before you start branching out to other lenses.

I got this camera for two major reasons: One, when I was small, we had these olympus camera but we lost it and growing up, I always wanted one. The other reason, I was looking to buy a mirrorless camera and was looking for Sony and Nikon options. I compared them and my priority was good value with the best price and Olympus was on sale and I also got a price match for this. These camera look beautiiful and they do take beautiful shots. I like the art filter features in them and the EVF is convenient (although, if you have the backlight on the EVF turned on, it flickers, which is solvavble). All in all, a good camera for the price and the lenses were on sale, so everything worked out well enough for me.

I'd say this camera has awesome features and does perform well. It's a good choice for the beginners to learn and the price is reasonable with the sale deal. Plus the retro look is very attractive.

This camera was recommended to me by a friend who is more familiar with cameras than I am. It’s light weight, takes great high res photos, and is perfect for traveling.

The build quality on the little monster is exceptional. Everything fits and are handy. The nobs and mode dials make sense and help with faster access to options of choice. It's not a perfect camera due to the lack of 4K in this day and age. Also Olympus's menu leaves a lot to be desired. This body, a swiveling screen, 4K and Panasonic menu system and this would be perfect!

After decades of full size cameras and a ton of research, I bought the Olympus. Still learning how to use all of the features but... I can carry it with me wherever I go, easy to use, love the lens options, and most importantly, the results are great.

Purchased this as a gift for a first time camera owner. She loves it, stated it's light, sleek and great pictures. The ability to interchange lenses purchasing a connector across different brands is great. She is very satisfied with purchase and worth the price.

Great Camera but after comparing to the best DSLR, I reversed my decision. And the M1 was the better choice versus the M10

This is a great camera to start with. All the functions and settings are easy to understand.

A little difficult for beginners, but with some patience and help from the web you'll get the hang of it. Other than that, using auto is pretty much guaranteed a good pic anyway. Pretty lightweight. I like it a lot! OH, and the Wi-fi is an awesome feature for someone without a computer.

Such a wonderful piece of technology! Itàs so small and powerful, and the quality of the pictures is simply outstanding. Try to use some native fast lenses.

This is the highest quality digital camera I have ever owned. Not only great quality; but very easy to learn after not using or having even held a camera in years! Perfect for the beginner or advanced photographer.

Not as robust as a full fledge DSLR but definitely a step up from point and shooters. Picture quality is great given its compact size. Very user friendly.

i wanted to downsize a bit for vacations. carrying around a nikon d700 was just too much hassle. the olympus has great image quality and features like wifi that just aren't' options on most dslr's. also, the m4/3 lens selection is excellent!
