Nice but Small!

Like all Olympus OMD cameras, this one is very nice and takes good pictures. And, it's small. Too small for me. I found it difficult to hold and I have small hands. I just kept feeling that I would drop it. The kit lens is good. If you want to keep your costs down and buy into the Olympus system, this camera is a good start if you can handle its small stature.

This small unit has the vintage look of its predecessors, but much smaller in size and impressive specs for the size. Much smaller than some competitors yet packs same amount of muscle.

I have used older Olympus DSLR's in the past and always loved the picture quality and clarity. THe colors are always more true to life with my Olympus cameras. I have used Canon and Nikon also. I just prefer Olympus. HDR function knocks it out of the park!

All the features, and a viewfinder, in a small package. However, I'm wondering why it's still almost full price years later, when the mark Iv has more megapixels. And yes, I am posing this review as an owner of this camera and might be ruining my chances of getting a good price when i sell.
Biggest con: autofocus on moving subjects. If you're into sports or have small children, steer away.
Cons: white balance isn't great. This is hard for my family because we are very pale.
Pros: Love the micro 4/3rds lenses, because, as you know, the lenses make the camera.

I downgraded from a big DSLR to this model and I love it. It takes great pictures and having the ability to swap lenses is great. The video quality is also amazing and the built in wifi makes getting pictures posted on social media much easier since it doesn't require a PC.
