In a time where iPhones dominate the photography world there's still a place for a camera like the Olympus Tough camera. Great quality day and night photos Easy to operate with a nice selection of preprogrammed scenes that make it easy, and quick, to take photos with great color. The ability to wirelessly transfer photos to my phone is very convenient while traveling for sharing.

I recently brought the camera instead of a GoPro due to color flip LED screen for photo preview and review. The plan was to use at a family vacation at a waterpark. The camera worked great and was easy to use. Pictures and video taken underwater look great with no issues with camera.

The camera is pretty amazing very clear and great resolution. The only missing link is the fact that the zoom is very poor. Bright and vibrant colors, great underwater and above it.

We got this for a trip to the Caribbean and to take pictures underwater. It takes very nice pictures on land and underwater. We were very happy with the purchase. It was nice using a camera where I wasn't constantly worried about damaging it or getting it wet at the beach.

Although there were some bad reviews for this product, I tried it anyway, and found it to be a nice camera. The speed is excellent, as is the quality. We purchased two batteries since reviews said the battery life was bad... we haven't found that to be the case. The view screen has been handy in several scenes (it flips up). Definitely recommend this.

I bought this camera for our family vacation to Maui. I knew we were going to go snorkeling and I wanted to be able to take pictures of the life under the sea. It works great. It was also cool to be able to stand in the surf and take pictures of family members in the ocean.

It takes good pictures. It is a nice size. Easy to use.

Excellent I have purchase several Fujitsu camera for my line of work!! This Olympus Ought It's gets used and abused when taking pictures in crawlspaces!! Can you image it!!! Water! Dirt! Critters!! It's put to good use! Now this camera I can say it's worth every penny!! Love the pic quality and the best part water resistant / wifi

The camera takes a good picture. The only problem is the battery will only last about 2 hours or roughly a 100 pictures at a time. Not exactly good for a work camera. Mitigated the issue by purchasing 2 batteries and a charger for around 10 bucks.

I took this camera with me on a marine research trip to North Carolina. It worked really well under water and I am glad I bought it. It doesn't have the best pictures in low light without the flash, but it worked great everywhere else.

We took this camera to discovery Cove in it did everything we want it to.The images were amazingly sharp

Purchased this camera to take kayaking. Basic operation is simple, and I don't have to worry about it getting splashed. For the money, it's a great camera, and takes good pictures. The app has also worked well to download photos to my iPad.

We bought this camera for our vacation to the beach. We tested it out in the swimming pool before we took it in the ocean just in case. It was so awesome to be able to swim with it and video our kids swimming under water. It was the perfect camera for the beach as well. Anytime sand got on it, we could just dunk it in water to rinse it off. The quality of pictures in and out of water are amazing. I preferred to use this over my fancy canon slr camera anytime. The price was so reasonable and worth every penny.

I purchased this camera for a trip to the Philippines....a country of over 7000 islands. Did quite a bit of traveling around the country and spent some time in a few of their gorgeous beach locals. Did some island tours as well with some snorkeling thrown in. The camera worked quite well for underwater pics and vids. The battery life was pretty good but it's also good to have a spare battery just in case. The regular out of water pics were Ok, but you can't beat having a better/bigger lens and a higher pixel count. It served it's purpose and continued working throughout the trip and beyond and it's still my go to camera for dirty/wet/abusive conditions!

This is a great camera. I've had other underwater cameras and this is far superior! The locking system for the batteries is easy to tell if it is done properly. I'm really impressed with the pictures, even on dry ground. It is small and compact. I have no complaints about this camera.

I bought this camera because I was going on vacation to the beach. I have taken pictures at the pool and the beach and it has worked perfect. It is easy to use; it takes great pictures and it has an excellent video quality. I'm very happy with this camera and I highly recommend it.

I wouldn’t have to get a replacement for my old Olympus tough if we didn’t loose it on our last trip. It is a very nice point and shoot. Shoots great video and photos and also transfers to your phone or tablet via its wifi so you can free up space in your memory card.

My old Canon camera with underwater housing has seen better days, so it was time for a new underwater camera. After reading professional and consumer reviews on all the different cameras, I decided on the Olympus TG-870. What you get, for the price paid, is a good value. At this time, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an underwater camera. After taking the camera on our beach vacation, last month, I'm very happy with the choice. Once I found the correct setting for underwater landscape, I got some very good shots. Top side shots were very good, as well. Do yourself a favor and learn the camera, before you go on vacation. I was learning as I went and probably would have gotten better quality photos, in some instances, if I had known about all the different settings, ahead of time. The only downside to this camera, is that it only goes to 50 ft. As a diver, that won't always work, but on this particular trip, we were only snorkeling.

Knowing Olympus has been around forever, my husband and I purchased this camera with minimal worry. I tend to drop things so we knew we needed a sturdy camera that produced clean shots with the ability to be submerged in water. Surpassed our expectations. Recommended buy!

I use a camera every day as a home inspector, I take anywhere from 120 pictures to 400 pictures 5 to 6 days a week. The camera goes into some rough areas such as under houses in crawl spaces and wet areas on a daily basis. The camera has never given me any problems. Battery life is short Recovery when using the flash is longer than desired Don't care much for the rotary selector Needs a better wrist strap / lanyard than the one that comes with it. Good quality picture Nice sized screen Unable to find the setting that turns the camera off after a desired period of being idle.
