I dont think I habe had the system long enough to tell if it's awesome or not, so far so good except.... I downloaded a game off a site I was told people use now days. I haven't been in the game scene in some time and was told pretty much most games are digital, so I downloaded a older game I missed SWKOTOR and even with this system, the game on the highest setting had issues, lines all in the screen in the sky, had to put the setting lower then the highest setting to play. I am not sure how it will par with the new games because I havent had it long enough to tell. Giving it a 3 and maybe change it later, but for now..... And no, not referring a friend til I know for sure....

I picked up the model with the 1050ti as an introductory gaming computer. I travel fairly often and having been a console gamer, it was nice to take my games with me. The display isn't the brightest, but I've learned that's kind if to be expected with mobile IPS displays. Overall I can run just about everything I play at 1080p with at least 60 frames a second. I know that soon, I'll build a desktop, but I feel that I will still take this laptop with me. It's a great computer. If it's on sale, I definitely recommend snagging it.

Purchased before Christmas and during a cold spell found that when I would touch the laptop it would shut off (instant power off and not a normal shut down). After a few occurrences I noticed that I would experience a static shock when the event would occur (appeared to happen only when on AC power). I also know it was not a home wiring issue or similar because experienced the same issue when I took the laptop out of town and was plugged in at a hotel. Completed some online research on HP blog site and found others complaining of the same issue with various HP models (didn't see any for this particular model), so it appeared to be a defective unit and not a design flaw. I returned the unit and received the replacement a few days ago. So far so good, but we'll see what happens when the next cold front moves in. Unfortunately I was up at BB today and it appears that they have my old unit on the open product sales table, so I'm guessing that they couldn't duplicate the problem (probably because temps are at 70-deg, so not enough static electricity). I should mention that I've been a fan of HP laptops many years both at work and at home (currently have 3 HP laptops in use at home), and this is the first time I've seen an issue like this. I'm hoping that the issue I experienced is just an odd ball case and HP QC isn't dropping. A few pros: Fast boot time, display is ok, mixed reality is pretty cool (kids love it), easy setup Cons: only 8gb RAM (not sure why you would have at least 16 given low cost of RAM and the high end specs associated with this system), I've found the lack of a DVD to be more annoying than expected, keyboard color makes it hard to read if backlight is off, HD video rendering slower than expected (scratch disk set to SSD, so suspect it's related to the limited RAM), OMEN control panel should provide full control over the computer (video controller, fan, backlighting, etc.) and not just network and basic stats on CPU utilization & similar.

I bought this because I needed a laptop for video editing. I am quite pleased with this laptop. Super quiet , boots fast since it has a SSD hard drive with it. What I most appreciate the fact it vents its heat out the back! I have had gaming laptops in the past and hated that they vented out the side. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. Great value for the money.

I just got it today. When i unboxed that i was shoked by the laptop design and look! I loved it. Everything is perfect till now!

Bought it to run Fortnite as well as to stream my PS4 game play with my new Elgato HD60 S. I tried it out for a day and returned it for a Dell G7 with better specs and graphics card for $50 less. The Omen looks better and seemed a tad bit smaller than the G7, but wanted better specs over aesthetics as I do video edit as well.

Was browsing for a work laptop when I stumbled on this gem. GTX1050TI wasn’t a spec I was considering, but for the sale price it was crazy to turn down this laptop!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son as a start up for gaming I like the design and specs seem decent for the price

My nephew who is in college loves it. He is an IT student and this laptop has everything he needs for school and his work.

This laptop has been my desktop replacement for a year and it has been nothing but great. It plays even current games at medium to high resolution and holds it's paces in demanding applications. It even has a complete set of IO that makes it perfect for the office

By far this laptop is great for the price. Got this before Christmas for my son and he really like it. Compare to our all in one computer you would notice how this one boot up really fast. We haven't had any issues running games and browsing at the same time.. we are happy on this buy
