I love the case and lights. It is fast, could have been faster. 1060 3g should have been a 6g. HP did cut some corners. Memory is cas 21. HP or BB does not sell a matching 16gb module. So I got one from Kingston but the HP module is not running at cas 16. No memory speed adjustments in bios which is just wrong. Another place corners were cut. Onboard sound is 5.1 only with optical so I just disabled that but guess what you can't in bios. I did say corners were cut that's 3. There are more. USB xfi has decent sound though. Rtx 2080FE fits perfect in the nice video card support HP added. It runs cool, 30c to 65c in mine, with the Corsair cpu liquid cooler that fits one fan in the top. It is still quiet. You need a better PS. To run a 2080. A lot of 2070s and 2080s won't fit but the FEs will. I used a 2070 FE for a few days with the stock 500 W power supply and that was OK no issues, 550w recommended. 500w probably won't run a 2070 Super Rtx. Looks nice with the 2080 and the HP green light cycle. I have built about 30 pcs but none in the last 10 years so I knew going in I wouldn't like some things like the need for a 90 degree sata power connector when changing the power supply, had to order an adapter from Amazon. Hopefully HP will do a bios update for the memory and sound on the newer models along with a motherboard that you can put in a pci sound card because there is room for it.

This PC is phenomenal for high performance 1080p gaming. I can run several recent hits (Gears of War 4, Quantum Break, Killer Instinct, etc.) on the highest settings above 60fps with very minor dips. This PC is also mostly customizable so you can always upgrade the RAM, Graphics Card and other parts to stay current.

I never write reviews, but this computer is so stunning I just had to. I bought this computer 2 days ago, and so far it’s beautiful. I can run Fortnite on the highest settings and still get a constant 120-140 frames. It runs Dark Souls: Remastered PERFECTLY along with Overwatch and every other game I play. Initial startup time was fast, and the computer takes no time at all to open each time I want to play. Overall a great choice, and I’m very happy with my purchase.

I needed a new PC. Because I do a lot of video editing, I needed very high performance. Although I have never played a game on any PC, that led me to a "gaming computer". I looked at a lot of offerings, but this one was definitely the best "bang for the buck" at $1000. Had I been able to customize, I might have upgraded and/or added some components. I did in fact pay Microsoft $40 to upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro. One startling fact: the OMEN 16GB memory is one 16GB card, not two 8GB cards as I expected. So I have a free memory slot into which I can drop another 16GB whenever I want. I have had the PC for about one month, and I have only good things to say about it. Except perhaps, I wish I could add an optical drive (Blu-Ray), but this is not a big problem as I have an external optical drive (USB 3.1) and other optical drives available on my LAN. An SD card reader would also be nice, but sharing other readers on my LAN, plus the wealth of USB ports on the OMEN, makes this a minor inconvenience.

Im impressed The performance is excellent super fast loading. No lag running a game at 100+ fps wile server fps is only 35. Im giving it 4 stars due to the stock fans only keeping the desktop cooled just enough But everything on this desktop is easily customizable

First off, I bought this computer while it was on the Black Friday sale. For the price this thing is amazing. I’ve been using it already for a few weeks and it has met all my expectations. I shopped around for a while before stumbling onto this computer and I’m glad I did. I mainly use my computer for gaming and video editing. Ive been doing both since I bought it and have had no issues. I’m able to run all the games I’ve played on ultra settings and it runs perfectly. Haven’t had any issues with the fans. It starts up super quick and everything loads so fast. Definitely would recommend. I plan on adding an extra 16gb of ram and eventually upgrading the graphics card.

I was looking for a gaming desktop for my son for few months but couldn't find one at an affordable price. When I saw this machine on sale I jumped on it and bought it right away. The specs of the computer were exactly what I was looking for i.e. 8th Gen Intel i7, 16 GB RAM, 3 GB dedicated graphic card, 256 GB SSD + 1 TB regular hard drive. And all this within my budget. So far my son loves this computer. One thing to mention here is that the first computer I picked up from best buy had an issue with wireless card and had trouble in connecting to WiFi. I exchanged it for another one and the new one worked just fine.

As the summary says, this was my best option for a capable gaming rig, given my budget at the time ($1,000 and under). I am one of those WoW guys, and this rig runs BfA at a general setting of 7/10 (all settings at a minimum of high with some set a level or two higher) without issue. At this level (7/10), fps runs above 60 on average and I've only seen it steadily as low as 40 when in a raid with lots of action on the screen. Pros: Quality build that should have no problem running most games at a minimum of "high" graphics settings. Customizable with all internals built to typical full size PC standards and plenty of physical room in the case for expansion. (No proprietary, integrated, non-standard, or non-removeable components) Very attractive aesthetics with the ability to customize case lighting to the user's preferences. Sale price made the purchase a no brainer. Cons (potentially): Size. This tower is much larger (taller) than what most users consider "standard." I had to modify my intended install location because I didn't pay attention to the listed dimensions. Soooooo, check the dimensions against your intended install location, and remember to leave enough free space on the exterior so this beast can breathe. (Using the recommended setting on WoW, this rig does not produce noticeable heat, but if you push it to max settings it will likely get into the "fry an egg" territory fairly quickly) Location of "front" connections and power button. All of these are located in a recessed area along the top front edge of the tower. If your install is in an area where liquids will never be above the tower, you should be able to get away with occasional vacuum dusting. But if your installation is in an area where a drink might get spilled above the tower and find it's way into this tray, then the design of this area is probably going to funnel that spill directly into your "front" USB ports, audio I/Os, and into the space surrounding your power button. So, keep that in mind for the next time you don't rage quit a game, knock over your (whatever you happen to be drinking), and make electricity go where it was never intended to go. (Yes, the "don't" was intentional, because, as all true gamers know: True gamers never rage quit a game. ;-p)

Purchased this unit more for use as an office workstation but it had an excellent configuration for the price and was available at my store. Its a beefy 8th Gen i7 with 6 cores and 12 threads. Good RAM (16GB) and drives (both SSD and HDD). Has a nice video card which is overkill for the office but hey if they every want to play while at work they are good to go. Got the unit for under 1K (tax and all) on sale and would recommend this to anyone for a high end workstation or nicely equipped gaming PC.

This computer is very fast with plenty of RAM and an SSD drive. The SSD drive itself is of the M.2 variety so its built for the future. The only real complaints I have with the computer are the lack of a DVD drive, a card reader and only 2 RAM slots. The good thing is the 16 Gb of memory that is installed is only in one slot so you only have to buy one stick of 16 Gb to double your memory instead of two. Overall boot times are solid using the SSD drive and I will upgrade the 256 Gb SSD drive at some point as prices come down.

I have only been using this for a few weeks and I like it so far. I do wish it came with an optical drive (or even had space on the case to install one), but that's no deal breaker. I'll probably upgrade the GPU in a year or two and than I'll be good for a while. I got it while it was on sale, so that does affect my review rating. If you catch it on sale, it's a very good deal. If it isn't, you probably could pay a little bit more and get a better desktop.

This was something my son had been saving for and it has proved to be exactly what he wanted and needed to play video games on a pc. He says it super fast and has room to download the games he plays. We ended up pairing it with a curved 27” monitor, a mouse that can use wireless or wired and a corsair keyboard he couldn’t be happier with the purchase. His 13 year old little brother tried it out and now he is saving up to buy one.

At only just over $1,000 this is by far the best computer you can buy for that price. Compared to the mobile I7 processor in most of the laptops, this full-size I7 is great. Matched with the pretty decent GPU and 16gbs of ram, you really cannot go wrong. I have been using this computer for the Adobe suite, school, and gaming. With dual monitors and typically at least 2 programs open simultaneously, there's not even a slight lag.

Positives: Cool lighting options, good price (when on sale), good performance, looks pretty I guess lol Negatives: Bad ventilation (80+ degrees when on semi demanding games) ((if you open the glass panel on the side, it ventilates pretty well, but stuff could get in your computer and seriously mess it up, not ideal obviously)) I know it’s a super shallow review, but as someone who doesn’t know much about computer parts but likes playing video games, this is how I see it.

The computer is great. Got it for a great price with a Memorial Day savings. It was $350 off. The computer is fast. I don’t game so not sure how it is with that but for what I need it works great. I did have the BIOS error and a few “beeps” when starting up for the first few times. I let it restart a few times and it has been solid. Hopefully no more issues with that. I have had to “install” adobe a couple of times for some reason. If you can get it on sale, do it
