Decided to leave a review for this as the PS4 version seems much less popular than the Switch version. But this is easily one of the best games I have ever played. The story is very good and the game soundtrack is music to my ears. The game even comes with a manual! I would easily recommend this game to anyone looking for a good RPG. Unless you suffer from depression... In that case then I highly suggest you look elsewhere because this game really leans in on topics such as suicide, self-loathing, and self-harm in pretty intense ways. But if you can handle these topics then what are you waiting for?

Amazing video game, decent length and heartbreaking when you get the core of it. Not for kids though. As pure as it looks, it has horror elements and topics such as self harm and suicide that are something a kid should not experience.

Omori. Oh, Omori. This is the first time I've ever played a game that was a 9/10 in every category while simultaneously being 4/10 in those exact same catagories. Allow to me elaborate. Story 9/10: Omori's story has many unique and amazing moments that will make you shout "OH MAN THIS IS CRAZY" Story 4/10 The problem is in the 30 hours it takes to complete Omori, only 6 of them are great storywise. You will be forced to endure off topic filler quirky dialog/story that only a high school marching band kid will appreciate. At times it felt like a visual novel with many conversations going on 15 dialog boxes too long. As a result, I was way less invested than I should have been when I reached the actually very cool ending. Sound: 9/10 Listen up- ALL the battle themes are so on point. They're incredible. They make me feel like I snorted every Info Wars supplement at once. They got my blood pumping and ready to fight for those I love. Sound 4/10 The majority of the music outside of battle got on my nerves. Most tracks consists of apathetic whole note/half note chord progressions, some drums, and a lead. Boring chord progressions are whatever but the lead melodies kill me inside. Have you ever walked out of a bar and a stranger smoking a cig approaches you and starts telling you their life story? You nod and try to turn away after every sentence but they just keep talking? That guy is the melodies in this game. So busy yet meaningless. And there is no escape. Graphics: 9/10 The hand drawn aesthetic to the artwork in this game is a treat to view. The battles look gorgeous as do the character portraits. Graphics: 4/10 The sprites themselves are just aight. The mapping is only a step above kemco rpgs. Environments look so bland compared to other indie rpgs such as Cosmic Star Heroine. Omori is 2 games at once. A bad game and a good game. Unfortunately you'll have to spend more time playing the bad than the good. We live in a world where 99% of all jrpgs released over the last 10 years are uninspiring, embarrassing, and generic. Omori dares to be different and unique. It succeeds in that regard and I greatly respect that. You owe it yourself to try Omori. It elevates above the rest, even if it's only does so some of the time.

The game is amazing. NOT FOR KIDS!!! This game tackles some serious mental issues that society tackles today such depression, self-deprecation in the worst sense, self-harm. suicide, etc. The soundtrack with Rihanna singing the game's theme in anime opening style are an absolute banger. Definitely worth the purchase.

I’ve always enjoy Rihanna’s music. Her take on anime music is a new leap in her evolution of music genre. I’ll alway support Ri Ri, and can’t wait to see her in Anime Expo one of these days
