    Didn’t know I would need to use my iPhone for critical setup. Long story short the software would NOT work with my brand new Samsung TV. Now I’m out over 50.00 bucks. Advertising was all hype.

    Pretty good remote

    I was skeptical given the other reviews but had to give it a go to see for myself. So far so good. It controls my 8 year old Samsung tv, pioneer receiver and Roku nicely. Set up was easy though there was one spot in the instructions that was misleading/confusing (no affect on set up, maybe got lucky). The remote range is bit lacking from what I am accustomed. Not terrible just not what I was used to with my Logitech. The remote is organized nicely with a quality feel. Overall pleased.

    Difficult to set up, remote frequently freezes

    I bought a new 65 inch Samsung OLED TV in December and I really dislike the solar powered remote Samsung packaged with the TV. I was primarily looking for a remote that has the ability to "learn" commands from another remote and has a backlight. The One For All Smart Control PRO 6 appeared to meet my criteria. However, I should have read more of the negative reviews because my experience was similar. After installing the app and linking to the remote, I received a message that a firmware update was needed so I allowed the app to proceed with updating the remote. Unfortunately, that got me stuck in a loop of failed updates that only ended when I removed the app from my phone, reinstalled it and relinked the remote. The same thing happened again when I attempted to update the firmware after reinstalling the app. Finally, after I deleted the app for the 2nd time and reinstalled it for the 2nd time, the firmware update completed. When I attempted to setup my TV the first code that the app tried appeared to work because I was able to mute the TV and change the input. However, it was a completely different experience when I attempted to use the remote to do anything else. The up/down/left/right keys used to navigate the menus were acknowledged by the TV only 1 time out of every 4 or 5 presses and the remote would completely freeze up every few minutes and need time to reset before it could be used again. I deleted my TV from the app thinking maybe the performance would improve with a different code. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I tried setting up the TV with each code the app offered, but my issues with the TV only responding to 1 out of every 4 or 5 commands sent from the remote and the remote freezing up frequently never improved. I also was unable to find anything in the documentation or the app that would guide me through using the "learn" function to teach the One For All Remote commands. Overall, I honestly do not think this remote deserves even 1 star. My experience attempting to use it was extremely frustrating and I now have to waste even more time to return it. I used to complain about my Harmony remotes, but it's obvious to me now that I simply didn't know how good I had it.

    Not intuitive to set up but ultimately effective replacement for newer Samsung TVs. Haven’t been able to get voice controls to work which may be a game breaker for some.

    I bought this a sa universal remote for all of my remotes. I used the program function and it works greta. I bought this one also because of the back light function. not that bright but since I watch TV in a dark room it's just enough. Great item.

    Do Not Buy - Setup failed, no customer support.

    Wish I could give Zero stars. Was going to buy the 8-device, highly rated remote, but chose this instead for backlighting. What a mistake. Seems like a nice device, but when I installed app and attempted set-up (on an iPhone 15), the process identified the remote then said "Let's update your remote." When I tried to do that, I got "Oops something went wrong. Try again later." There is no relevant information on the support tab of the One For All web site. Did that several times - but I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to even attempt. Same error. So I called customer service in the middle of the day (in Hawaii), got a message that customer service hours are 9AM-3PM Eastern time. Tried again early this morning, now the message is "We're closed for a National Holiday." It's Good Friday, I guess they count that as a National Holiday. "Call back after Easter." I also tried the installation on my work iPhone 13, same problem. So - the remote is non-functional and I have four days to think about whether or not to return for refund. DO NOT BUY this unless your life is lacking frustration and you need some.

    Had to program through my phone. I have a Hisense smart tv and it didn’t stay connected very long and difficult to reprogram. Ended up going back to my other remote.

    Not a Logitech Harmony

    This rating is based on a comparison to the functioning and ease of use of my Logitech Harmony remote - the Cadillac of all-in-one remotes. Set-up and connection to the app on my android via bluetooth was difficult and unreliable. Also, the requirement to control devices individually, instead of engaging multiple devices with a single button (as with the Harmony) is sub-standard for this day and age. I am returning this device to the store for a refund.
