    I had to return it. I needed a new remote for my Vizio tv. The Best Buy salesman said this one would work. It wouldn't turn on my TV. Had to get one from Amazon

      Hello Debbie I apologize that you were given incorrect information for a vizio tv the streamer will only control power volume and input on a vizio tv. The streamer is primarily meant for use with streaming devices like a Roku or apple tv.

    Though it does work with the Roku, which was why I bought it, you have to point it directly at the unit for it to work. Normally that may not be an issue for most, but I keep my Roku in a cabinet and if you are at the wrong angle, nothing happens.

      As this remote is an IR remote it does require line of sight as the IR signal has to make it to the receiver on the Roku. If the roku is in a cabinet it will restrict the line of sight.

    I programmed the remote for hulu and Netflix when i did the layout changed and was opening the wrong app and i also had to program the remote to even use the arrow and “ok” keys for Netflix since it wouldn’t let me do anything with the remote

      I'm sorry to hear about your experience. The real time macros have to be able to be repeated to work properly. But if the layout changes you will have to change the macro.

    This is a streamer remote that does not work with Roku streaming sticks... Just received the wrong input on whether it would work or not... needs more than infrared for the streaming stick... If you have the right equipment the quality of it seems OK, but its not functional with my equipment.

    I couldnt get this remote working well st all. And lets not forget to mention the fact that accessing the guide or even something as simple as raising the volume required key commands and multiple button presses. that would have required me to write down on a cheat sheet on the coffee table just to use it. No good.

    Worst remote ever made. I tried it on three different smart TVs and it would not work on any of them. Programmed it exactly like the directions and only some of the functions would work. Great idea but doesnt deliver.

  • Doesn’t work properly with Hisense H8G TV

    I purchased this as a universal remote for my Hisense H8G television, & found it less than satisfactory. The codes listed in the in-box paperwork were seemingly out of date, so I had to get the correct codes off OFA’s website. While this allowed me to control the power and volume of the TV, the remote didn’t work properly with the Android TV interface. I attempted to use the remote’s learning capability to address these issues, but found it unresponsive. Not recommended for Android TV Hisense televisions.

      I apologize for any confusion, the streamer only fully supports Roku tv's all other tv's will only have power, volume, and input work. As for learning I believe the issue is that the remote for the H8G is a Bluetooth remote as it looks to support voice commands. For learning to work you have to capture from an infrared remote. BB One For All Support
