I'm sorry to hear that out remote did not work to your satisfaction. Its hard to say why that may be without more information. That said the streamer should work power volume and input on most brands but will only fully control roku tv's BB One For All Support

We are sorry that you have had this difficulty, but Apple does often require some extra work to get it working properly. Often issues can be solved by unpairing the remote from Apple, we suggest calling Apple directly for this, try 800-275-2278.

I apologize if there was any confusion in the set up of the remote. The numbers correspond with a key For example tvpower=1 redpower=2 back=3 home=4 replay=5 star=6. If it helps there should be a diagram above the instructions for set up by code. The remote is compatible with Roku TV'S however the instructions were not added to the manual for this version of the remote. This should be corrected with the next version here are the instructions if you still have the remote. To set up a Hisense, RCA, Sharp or Sanyo Roku TV:
1. Hold down STB POWER and HOME until the red LED blinks twice
2. Press the HOME key 5 times
3. The LED will blink green twice and the remote should now work your Roku TV.
To set up an Insignia Roku TV
1. Hold down STB POWER and HOME until the red LED blinks twice
2. Press the REPLAY key 5 times
3. The LED will blink green twice and the remote should now work your Roku TV.
If you want to reset the remote to control a TCL Roku TV
1. Hold down STB POWER and HOME until the red LED blinks twice
2. Press the BACK key 5 times
3. The LED will blink green twice and the remote should now work your Roku TV.

i'm sorry to hear you had issue programming to a Polk surround sound system, I see there are 3 codes in general one of those 3 should work if not it may be that we do not have the specific code on the remote needed for that receiver.

I do apologize about that, When you spoke with one of our agents did they advised you to try going to the apple settings to program your remote that way if the code didn't work?

The streamer will work with first gen Nvidia Sheild the later generations need an adapter to work due to lack of IR sensors. Samsung sound bars should also be supported. I'm sorry to hear the remote did not work for your use case, Our remote is not compatible RF only devices such as the Amazon Fire stick as it is an IR based remote. As stated in the best buy listing
"Control up to three devices Enables easy control of your (IR) streaming devices and the basic functions of your TV and soundbar."

I apologize if there is any confusion the streamer will support Nvidia shield however it will only support the model's with IR. All Current models unfortunately no longer have IR built in it was only the first generation and one sku of the second. BB One For All Support

I'm sorry to hear the remote did work for your use case but unfortunately the remote is not designed to be a replacement remote for a Samsung tv. The remote is meant for use with a streaming box such as a roku or apple tv. The tv functionality is limited to power volume and input.

I apologize if you had issues trying to program the remote. The streamer is compatible with Roku tvs we specifically add the codes to the remote for that use case. Those can be cleared though it is possible this happened some how.
