The chupacabra for batteries

Difficult to set up

Doesn’t work

I am sorry to hear the remote did not work for your use case. Unfortunately fire TV both stick and built in tv variety are not supported. They use an RF remote and we are not able to capture and reproduce the code since this is a IR remote. This remote will only control power volume and input on most tv's as this is meant to be used primarily with a streaming device that uses IR.

I apologize for any confusion but the streamer is only compatible with the original model of nvidia shield all of the newer models no longer have an IR sensor and require RF remotes and our remote is IR.

Thank you for your review. The streamer remote is designed primarily for Roku televisions, and they also work well with separate streaming devices as long as they have an infrared interface. Without a Roku TV or separate streaming device, one can only control power, volume, mute, and input - other controls are locked to the Roku or streamer.

Half and half

I'm sorry to hear the controller is not working you expectation. It sounds like you may be trying to use it wit ha tv which would only use part of the remote power volume and input. The remote is primarily meant for use with streaming devices like roku BB One For All Support

This did not work with my Samsung TV.

I connected the remote to a newer (2 year old) Samsung TV and it only controlled volume and the left/right toggle buttons. The enter button and basically everything else was not functional.

Piece of garbage

Before that, it was great! I fell in love with it then it just stopped working. It wasn’t dropped or stepped on and nothing was spilt on it or anything. It just stopped. I thought maybe the batteries were bad so I bought new ones and that didn’t fix it. Was a great remote for the 6 hours it worked….

I'm sorry to hear that our remote did not work for you. If the remote stops working and you are within the return window you should be able to swap at the store you purchased from. Otherwise The remote is under a one year limited warranty and we would be happy to take a look at the issue and possibly replace the remote if needed under warranty. I apologize for any confusion we are unable support Roku stick as our remotes are IR based and roku sticks do not have a IR receiver. I checked and the latest version of the box states clearly on the front the compatibility. You may have gotten one of the older ones where it was on the box but it was an asterix on the back. I apologize if that was the case unfortunately old stock is still floating around. BB One For All Support

Ok at Best Remote

I'm sorry to hear that your having issues with our remote. The streamer should be strong enough to work throughout a normal room. It is possible the signal is obstructed you want to make sure there is clear line of site to the device you are trying to use.

The remote by default is programmed to Samsung however it is only programmed to control power volume and input as this is not meant to be a tv remote. The remote is primarily meant to be sued with streaming devices such as roku.

I apologize if there was any confusion the Streamer is designed to control power, volume and input on most tv's the rest of the remote is meant for use with a streaming device such as a Roku. The only exception is The streamer will fully control a Roku TV. BB One For All Support

It did not work with firestick

Im sorry to hear that the remote did not work for your use case as It should work for Samsung and apple tv. I am not sure why the Samsung tv did not work but most likely what happened with the apple tv is that if you have a previous remote paired it will be locked and it has to be unlocked before it will accept other remotes. The remote should work with Roku tv but the proper instructions were unfortunately not included with the original best buy revision of the remote. Here are the instructions if you still have the remote. To set up a Hisense, RCA, Sharp or Sanyo Roku TV:
1. Hold down STB POWER and HOME until the red LED blinks twice
2. Press the HOME key 5 times
3. The LED will blink green twice and the remote should now work your Roku TV.
To set up an Insignia Roku TV
1. Hold down STB POWER and HOME until the red LED blinks twice
2. Press the REPLAY key 5 times
3. The LED will blink green twice and the remote should now work your Roku TV.
If you want to reset the remote to control a TCL Roku TV Element, Philips, Magnavox, JVC, LG or Haier
1. Hold down STB POWER and HOME until the red LED blinks twice
2. Press the BACK key 5 times
3. The LED will blink green twice and the remote should now work your Roku TV.
