The channel changer looks nice. I appreciate that it lights up, so it would be something nice to have at night. However, despite trying both types of pairing for my TCL tv - and running through all of the codes in EACH type, it still never paired. I went out bought a different kind that paired easily. I'd definitely recommend avoiding this for someone who is elderly or may have difficulty programming it. However, I've programmed many many remotes over time- nothing worked.

I bought this controller to replace my Roku controller I researched it very well and I have to say that I'm sorry happy with it. Three set up took 10 min but it was well worth it!!! It lights up which is a plus!!

Bought this for our tcl roku TV because the provided roku remote was terrible and needed to be pointed directly at the center of the TV. It works, and it works well. However, programming it was a different story. There were basically no instructions what so ever. We actually scoped several forums on the internet before we found a comment on someone else's post that said how he got it paired. I don't even remember what we pushed but it was some random button like 7times. Otherwise the remote will only power the TV and not the roku functions of it.

Needed a remote for my Roku TV and soundbar. Now I can control TV functions and sound bar volume and power on/off with just this remote. Needed assistance from customer service for setup. This one works for me.

I got it to use as a 1 for all remote but found it didnt work with all my devices so Ibended up not even using it at all and its laying around somewhere.. its ok if it works with ur setup

So 5 stars, it must be the best... Well it isn't, unless you take the time to manually encode all of the features of your remote with the learn a command function. The auto-learn feature was buggy, and it left me with a re.ote that could turn my TCL 55" 4k tv on and off and switch the input... Every other function of the old remote did not work. I used the learn a command function to program each button from the original remote to this one... Additionally it controls my Sony 3.1 sound bar, programed the same way. It does have a very useful macro mode, that I have been able to out to good use retraining the 4 hotbuttons at the bottom to switch to various apps on the TV. And for the price, this remote beats out the Harmony Companion I was considering buying for this seldom used tv.

I purchased this particular remote, because it has a learning mode to program it to learn the features of your original remote. I could not get other universal remotes to work with my new Westinghouse smart tv. It only took me 5 minutes to get the remote to learn all of my original remotes buttons. I believe this is an essential investment for your smart tv, because if you loose or break the original remote that came with your smart tv, then you have to order an expensive replacement remote from the manufacturer. And if your tv is like mine, there is only 1 button on the tv console to power the tv on and off and nothing else. So you really have to have the remote nowadays, to operate modern tvs.

Not necessarily a bad product, but I needed it to control Roku, Firestick and Sharp TV. It would not do the Firestick correctly.

Remote was very easy to program and set up for our older RCA TV! It was also easy to set up for my daughter's newer tv. Love that it came with very clear, easy to understand instructions and can be personalized with different colors for different components!

Does not work with Apple TV unlike I had been told, but should be good if you need other usage.

Love this remote! I had a little difficulty in setting it up but called their customer support which was easy to find in the brochure and they were super helpful! Got me set up in no time and now all my devices work seamlessly. :)
