    Best Android phone

Bought this phone as a gift for my cousin. He had a Moto G100 and loved that phone so much. But it was time for him to upgrade. He wanted something similar and he enjoys gaming on his phone. Sadly there isn't any SD card slots on premium phones. Also he prefers a pure Google experience with a minimalist UI. So Pixel would have been a great choice but the Tensor G5 isn't enough. I'm actually kinda torn between the 2 phones. I highly recommend this phone over a Samsung Galaxy Ultra. It has all the same specs and hardware for a cheaper price.

I have been using this cellphone for the last 16 days now. I got the open box deal with the best buy and believe the phone is beast. The specification is good and the phone is working like a charm

Could not switch back to Samsung. It was a bigger transition from initially changing from Apple to android. The OnePlus 13 is a refreshing and we'll thought out design that sets itself apart from other android phones. Needless to say, I'm thoroughly impressed.

Stupidly fast phone. Everything about it is snappy. The only downsides are the cameras and some software issues. Ran into issue with using passkeys with bitwarden which I resolved by switching to a Pixel.

I liked the phone for three main factors: battery life, screen brightness, and vegan leather. If you are an android user and need something which can last for a whole day pretty easily then this phone is a must try. The vegan leather at the back feels really good to touch (much better than those glass phones). However, the only thing which I think I don't like personally is the UI experience. OnePlus has transformed the UI in the last couple of years and I am not a big fan for this. I will rather prefer something more like Pixel UI over other Android UIs.

I've been using OnePlus phones for a decade, and the 13 is easily the best smartphone I've ever had, and I'd put it up against any other phone on the market.

Probably the best phone I've ever owned. Moving back to Android from an iPhone 15 pro Max. Glad I went with this. Love the IR Blaster!! Pretty much everything about this phone is leagues ahead of the 15 at much more aggressive price. Never going back. Strongly recommend! Purchase it now before the tariffs.

This is my third one+ phone. They have been reliable and well thought out. I like the side switch that lets me change the alert mode. I can go from audio alert to vibration alert or switch to silent mode. with this feature I can change the alert mode without removing the phone from my pocket.

Coming from a S20, this is a major upgrade. Faster, longer battery life, better camera, and less bloatware. Also, doesn't get hot fast like Samsung. Very please so far.

Awesome phone. Brought this phone to move away from Samsung. great design and innovations, which sam and apple have shown a lack of! Love the look and feel of the phone and the OS is very good. won't be going back until Sammie or Apple show some innovation not just software updates.

Bought this to replace an iPhone 15 Pro that didn't meet expectations. This phone has excellent battery life went from charging twice a day to charging once every 2 days and more features than I will use. The fake wood look on the back is excellent looking too.

Nice phone but pricey compared to the Motorola edge+ 2023 on sale. If it was $379 like the Motorola I would have kept it but at $800 no deal. Cameras were great, display was great. Speaker volume a little disappointing. Build quality great. Call quality very good. I would say it was 20% more premium feeling than the Motorola which is why I didn't keep it.

Missing Accessories and a Costly Lesson Learned

I finally have a chance to write this review. If I could turn back time, I would return this phone. After buying it, I tried several times to leave a review, but there wasn’t an available option for me to do so. This was an open-box item listed in "excellent condition," which should include the phone, the original charging adapter, and the cable. However, mine came without the charger and cable. Over time, I’ve come to realize how important it is to have the original charging set — and how hard and expensive it is to find a trustworthy one. The only reliable way is to buy the official adapter and cable directly from the OnePlus website. They’re not cheap there, and on top of that, the website charges an additional $15–20 for shipping. The total cost is far beyond what I expected. The day after I picked up the phone, I went to the Best Buy store and told the staff that the charger and cable were missing. (My English wasn’t good enough to fully understand their whispers, but I had a bad feeling at that moment.) The staff gave me a 65W PD adapter, which I later found out only provides up to 28W for this phone — even though it officially supports 80W charging in the U.S. (They did tell me that the adapter might not be compatible with the OnePlus 13, but at that time, I had no idea how complex fast charging standards could be. I only realized it later when I used an Anker 140W adapter, which shows the current charging wattage, and noticed that regular PD chargers can’t unleash the full fast-charging potential of the OnePlus.) Anyway, I do appreciate that the staff at least tried to offer me compensation and reminded me the fast charging might not work as expected, even though I didn’t understand it back then. --- When I picked up the phone, I also asked the staff if I would be charged a restocking fee if I opened the box and then decided to return it. They said it would cost around $50. Now I regret not opening the box right away to inspect everything. --- Aside from the unpleasant experience above (mainly caused by the store — and I stand by this opinion), the phone itself also has some drawbacks: 1. Battery life isn’t great. It loses about 14% to 21% overnight in standby. Every morning, seeing that drop makes me anxious. (To be fair, battery life is acceptable if I don’t watch videos or play games. But its idle power consumption is poor.) 2. Sound quality isn’t good. At high volume, it often produces harsh, grainy noise. 3. Fingerprint unlock fails to recognize my finger quite often. 4. It’s hard to find a good screen protector due to the under-display fingerprint sensor and the limited influence of the OnePlus brand in the accessories market. 5. Trade-in and resale values for this phone are extremely low. Other than these issues, if we only look at its hardware specifications, the OnePlus 13 is actually a very cost-effective flagship phone — that was the main reason I bought it. --- I once bought a cheap phone, the BLU Vivo XI+, from a Best Buy store in San Francisco. When I asked if it was "new", the staff assured me it was “brand new”. Ironically, when I turned it on, there was already a photo taken by the previous owner. --- To be fair, I’m probably not considered a “valuable” customer by Best Buy — perhaps even a troublesome one. As far as I can remember, I’ve caused them monetary losses three times: a $200 keyboard (plus a Geek Squad warranty), a $100 mouse, and a $200 printer (plus a Geek Squad warranty) — all of which I returned within one or two days after pickup, without buying replacements from Best Buy. --- This time, I chose to buy the OnePlus 13 from Best Buy for two reasons: 1. Best Buy’s open-box (used) OnePlus 13 had the lowest price among all the options I knew. 2. I believed Best Buy was reliable and trustworthy. But reality taught me another lesson. Considering that I rarely inspect items in-store before purchasing — which has almost become a habit — I’ve decided I won’t buy phones from Best Buy again, especially used ones. (I used a translation tool to help express my thoughts more clearly.)

I got this phone while it was on sale, and it's a beast. The OnePlus 13 is my first Android after having apple phones my entire life, and honestly the switch has been amazing! I love all the customization options this phone has, and OxygenOS has some very similar features to IOS. The status bar that comes from the hole punch, the widget options, and general usability are all familiar to an iPhone user. Great phone, would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade to a flagship and get out of the apple ecosystem.
