Definitely an upgrade from the OnePlus 11, with wireless charging, a higher IP rating, more RAM, more overall space, and better resolution.

I just started using it and I already love this phone. I have been waiting for years and years for a mobile phone to have a camera that compensates for wide angle distortion on faces. The portrait view works wonders. The functionality is really fast. I highly recommend it.

This OnePlus 13 replaced an older Pixel that was having a few issues. I was drawn to the promise of quick charging and long battery life, it definitely does not disappoint. I have been extremely happy with the split screen function and side dock (which I use multiple times per day). AI photo tools are extremely useful and I've had great luck with the camera.
Wish I had made this move sooner.

I'm glad I went with black for the phone. Black is the only color that has a black camera bump and I like that a lot more than the silver camera bump. The phone looks very sleek and the software is super smooth. Would definitely recommend the OnePlus 13 if you are on the fence about it.

Tested out the phone over the past few days. I'm coming from an almost four-year old Samsung S21 Ultra 5G. This phone is almost identical in size weight and feel to that, with the OnePlus screen being just ever soooo slightly wider (maybe by 1/8th of an inch).
I was expecting this to be a nice bump up from the S21U experience based on all of the reviews online. I had tried an S24+ about 6 months ago, but let it go because there wasn't much of a difference for me. Well, the situation is basically the same with the OP13.
If you currently have an S21U that you're happy with, there is almost NO need to upgrade. The screen clarity, snappiness, and camera performance between these two are nearly identical. In some cases, such as camera, I still find the pics from the 4 year old Samsung to be preferable, but I think the OP may have an advantage in the video department, ever so slightly. There may be very modest differences on the surface level, but honestly, 95% of everyday users wouldn't be able to tell one from the other just looking at and interacting with the front.
The main reasons TO upgrade are battery life, storage, and performance, if you need it for gaming. Coming from 128 GB of storage to 512 GB would be my only reason for upgrading. Also, battery life on the S21U has degraded over time some, sure, but I get through the day still. It's just hard to justify the new phone price when the S21U is still holding up so well in 2025. My suggestion is; if you're not a hardcore gamer, find a refurb'd S21 Ultra, and pay 1/3 of the cost.
I WANT to find a reason to keep the OnePlus 13, and if your phone specs are below that of the S21U, it would definitely be a worthy upgrade, but for my situation, I think I'll hold onto the Sammy for a bit longer.

These are great phones and I've used them for years. This latest model, OnePlus 13, has been great. I appreciate the extra storage space and the camera is excellent. I spent a lot of time comparing this phone with the Samsung and the only practical difference is the stylus (which I don't use that much and doesn't justify the difference in price).

Best phone I've ever used. I've being a OnePlus user since 2017. I haven't used any other phone brand. It has gotten better with each model. The OnePlus 13 is awesome.

The best phone I have purchased in a long time I prefer this over both the s24 ultra & the pixel 9 pro xl. The battery life is Amazon I get 2+ days & it charges in no time at all.

Fantastic phone. I was looking at an upgrade for my s10e did some research and found op phones about 8 months ago. I almost bought a op12 but stayed away because my s10e was still trucking along and the ip65 rating wasn't doing it for me. And to be honest that s10e did everything I needed it to with no complaints besides an aging battery. Plus I was holding onto the 3.5mm jack.
Come about 2 months ago. I'd been following the launch of the op13 and gushing over all the promised specs and features. I was waiting for me s10e to fail me. The charging port on my s10e finally went out. I saw it was on sale for 750 and I made the purchase.
1. I usually keep my phones for a long time and this phone besides a headphone jack this phone is everything I wanted it to be. I really appreciate the software and efficiency this phone boasts. In the settings you can limit the max charge to 80 percent to preserve battery longevity. 80 percent of 6000 is still 1.5 times more than enough for me to last a couple days at medium usage. I listen to videos at work all day and gone are the days of getting my s10e back on the juice every chance I get. The camera is a nice upgrade. I used to have a problem with muting my phone when going into class then forgetting to unmute it. The physical switch is a great reminder. The ip69 rating was the biggest thing that had me jump, I have no fear of water damage unless I drop the thing into the davy Jones locker.
Some notable things I use on a daily basis.
Hydrotouch or whatever it's called. When water gets on the typing pad it still works well.
Google ai. Most unexpectedly the built in AI on this phone is fantastic. I never really used AI for much before but recently it's been very convenient. It works like Alexa x10 more useful. It helps me with calculus, physics, anatomy, chemistry. I have it using html to format double sided 8 card per 8.5x11 sheet flashcards just from studyguides and notes. All I have to do is download the html file and print them. Very accurate and incredibly useful. Had it make 200 flashcards for a big anatomy exam and I aced it.
Gaming. I haven't played Minecraft on my phone since days of pocket edition Galaxy s6. I was blown away when I gave it a shot on this phone. 20 chunks loaded at 120 fps. Mindblowing powerhouse this phone is. Not to mention the cooling. The phone doesn't get hot. Warm when playing Minecraft but I've never had it get hot.
Cooling, the phone doesn't get hot. Stays very cool. Videos on my s10e would have it getting warm. Op13 the only thing that had it past room temp is Minecraft. Even then at 20 chunks 120 fps it's just warm.
Battery, huge capacity, fast charging. I limit it to 80 percent for battery longevity in the settings. 80 percent is all you need. Charged 0 to 80 in 10 minutes. It'll last a couple days unless you're gaming or on it all day.
I believe this phone will receive 5 years of software and 7 years security. So long as I don't crack the thing in 2. Paired with the 80 percent battery limit. I'll have this phone until they invent neurolink.

I've loved the simplicity of Google Pixel since the Pixel 2. I've tried switching to iPhone 11, iPhone Pro 16, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. All of them were nice phones but left me wishing for the intuitiveness of the Pixel system.
Enter the One Plus 13. I've always wanted a 512GB phone I can buy in-store, but the most anyone has is a 256GB. One Plus 13 answered the call, plus it was discounted $150. I still get to stay on android, and I get the latest and greatest processor.
The screen is amazing, the processor and ram keep everything working nice and smooth. The camera, while not exactly the same as the Pixel 9 pro, still holds its own. I'm not an over analyzer of pictures, and the One Plus does a good enough job for me.
I never really cared for the customization on Pixel, but somehow One Plus pulled me in and I set up my home screen like never before.
The biggest thing about this phone is I'm able to do about 90% of the things I could do on Pixel, and the majority of it are all the conveniences I really enjoyed. Where the other phones eventually had too many things missing, One Plus has me covered.
The installed screen protector was a nice bonus. The super fast charging, 10% to 100% in 35 minutes is insane. No more plugging in overnight. The battery is easily a day and a half to two days. I can charge on my lunch break, dinner, or even while I get ready in the morning.
The physical slider on the side reminds me of when iPhone had the ring/silent button on their phones. It's the easiest way to go between ring, vibrate, and silent without having to open your phone.
The fingerprint sensor is super fast, but so is the face unlock. I realized I could set the face unlock to go to the home screen and it opens faster than the iPhone 16 pro. The speakers are great, and unless you're doing a side by side comparison, they get the job done when consuming content.
I see the upcoming Pixel 10 and even though I have a soft spot for it, I'm enjoying my thinner bezels, quick battery, speedy system, and access to all my google stuff.

I've been using OnePlus phones for 8 years now. Started with the 6 in 2018. Got the 7t pro McLaren 2019. The 8 in 2020, 9 2021, 10 pro 2022. Hung out with the 10 pro till now 2025. This is the phone I've been waiting for the 13. I always usually got my phones through my carrier and remember that was really a pain in the butt waiting in the store, doing the transfer ugh. That was in 2022 with the 10 pro. Not being offered anymore through carriers so my best option was ordering the 13 online and pick up at Best Buy at my convenience. When I got home I was scared that I wouldn't know how to do the transfer or mess something up in the process. Well I did the transfer from the 10 pro to 13 and was absolutely amazed how simple and easy it was. Literally 5 minutes. I then called my carrier to activate the 13 with the IMEI # popped the SIM card in, restarted the phone and done. WOW ! My mind is blown how I didn't have to go to the store let a representative do the process waste my time blah blah blah. Now about the OnePlus 13. It's freaking fast like lightning fast Over wifi or mobile. The brightness is really good. The sound is super good. The screen is Absolutely amazing super crystal clear. The charging is blazing fast. I got 50% charge in 10 minutes. My hands were wet so tried the phone with wet hands it works like a charm with the aqua touch 2.0 is legit. I feel extra confident now that I have an official ip68/69 rating just in case circumstances, shoot I could take a hot steamy shower while using my phone if I wanted lol. Battery life compared to my 10 pro is a godsend. I'm totally satisfied with the new 6000mah silicon-carbon battery. Super efficient for my day to day use. All in all after 2 1/2 years using the 10 pro compared to the new 13 it was well worth the wait. I'm super satisfied with the overall experience with Best Buy and the process of switching phones on my own terms. I highly recommend upgrading to the 13 since it will have future proof features for many years to come. Once you experience the OnePlus phones especially blazing fast charging you will never want to get any other brand. Trust me with all my years as a OnePlus user you'll love it !
