    Great Phone, Several Shortcomings

This is both an impressive and underwhelming phone. If you're looking for a phone with a good camera, stop reading here and go buy something else. This phone has a TERRIBLE camera. No optical image stabilization (keeps the camera from shaking if you're moving a lot) at this price is absolutely ridiculous, especially since the camera is one of the big marketing features of this phone. Not to mention the image processing is just garbage here. You'd be better off getting something like the Pixel 4a 5G if you're interested in camera performance. As far as the rest of the phone, it's RIDICULOUSLY fast. Seriously, you won't notice any stutters or slowdowns whatsoever and it's a great phone for gaming. The speakers are crazy good too when you're watching videos. The screen is bright and beautiful and the phone has a ton of custumisation options to make it look and feel just the way you want it to. One thing I wish it would have is a better build quality. The back is made of glass but it feels like cheap plastic. Not only that, but the sides of the phone ARE made of plastic and the mute/vibrate switch on the side is very loose. It just doesn't feel like a $730 phone. If it was $500 or even $600 I could excuse these shortcomings, but not at this price. Phones like the Black Shark 4 that are just as powerful have full aluminum bodies which feel much better in the hand and are almost $250 less. Overall, it's a decent phone, but I would wait for it to come down to around the $600 mark, as I think that's the sweet spot for this one.

I haven't put many reviews up here. But so far I like the oneplus 9. Finger unlock is quick. Charges quick and smooth as butter. My only complaint would be battery. Samsung Galaxy note 20. Gets a little more out of the battery. But me personally I'm usually near a charger. I'll also put this out there I got this phone to use on verizon. After swapping sims. Everything was working fine. The only issue was I couldn't receive texts. So I googled the issue and reddit gave me the answer. You have to call verizon and tell them to put cdma-less in. As soon as they did all the texts came through

I've had all OnePlus Phones since the first one. Oneplus 1, Oneplus 6 and now the Oneplus 9. The software is never bloated like the samsungs and they last. So far far my only 2 complaint would be the gloss slippery back of the phone. Which I get a case anyways. The other issue is the one screen finger print reader is a bit lower then I like. So I would give it 4.5 if I could.

Excellent phone, very fast and snappy. Good design, feels very sleek and runs everything very well. Only complaint is that the camera is not as good as some of the competition but is definitely an improvement. This all is coming from someone who upgraded from a OnePlus 6. 10/10 recommended if you can get it open box, for full price I would say it's about 8-9/10.

Upgraded from my oneplus 6t and was not disappoint. The cameras are a huge upgrade from prior years and the performance is crazy fast. You can definitely tell a difference in the 120hz screen. Haptic feedback is the best I've felt on any phone so far. You can't get a better phone for the price.

Solid phone. No issues so far. Amazing definition. Wish I had seen that I was buying purple instead of black though. I am very content with my purchase at the price point at the time. I was about to pay almost double for a Samsung and frankly, I'm glad I didn't.

Love it! Aside from a minor update problem that was due to their update server being down at the time I happened to update, fantastic phone! Fast, smooth experience! Imo highly underrated. Solid camera. At times better than the pixel in capabilities. Installing the actual gcamera makes it right on par with Pixel cameras, imo far better user experience than Samsung Galaxy phones. Zero bloat

I am typing this review on my OnePlus 9 phone and love it more than I thought I would. Coming from an LG 6, it wasn't that difficult to figure out how to use this phone. My IT guy set it up, and it follows the Android phone system. I am now a believer in the OnePlus 9. A must buy worth every penny.

Fast snappy software, great display, premium feel. Camera might not be the best but does take good photos. Warp charging is a game changer 30 minutes for a full charge from 0% to 100%. Overall so far so good no issues.

The phone itself isn't bad, I like the oxygen os. But the camera is absolutely horrible. If you are buying this because of the camera, don't. It takes horrible portrait photos. You can't change the depth of field after you take the shot. The editing capabilities for photos are basic.

I have a Galaxy S10 Lite. A so-called watered down version of the S10+. It is almost 1.5 years old. Like the Oneplus 9, it has a 4500mah battery that will last all day, and quite strong even during the watching of several videos. My phone, at just 50% brightness is brighter than the Oneplus 9 at about 60% brightness. Where the Oneplus 9 is brighter than my S10 is at 100%. But go ahead and put your phone at 100% brightness and tell me shortly thereafter how much battery you have left after, say, 5 hours of real world use, not just sitting on a table. On top of that, the 60 hertz refresh my phone has is actually faster than the Oneplus 9 at 120 hertz. As usual, paid video guys and girls are entirely wrong in their presentation of this unit. The one speaker at the bottom of my phone is almost as loud as the dual speaker system the Oneplus 9 has. It sounds nice, but nothing that gives off a wow factor. There is no way this phone should cost what it cost. Wireless charging is nice, I guess if that's your thing. And honestly, how many people reverse charge. It is still way in the infancy stage of technology. I am going to safely assume that Oneplus has come a long way, yes. But it will never frankly catch up to the top dogs in the business.
