I have always owned either Samsung or Apple. I sadly recently broke the screen and shell on my beloved galaxy S10+. Without insurance, the parts to fix the phone myself run 300-350$. I showed up to best buy to get a "value" phone to get by for a few months till I could fix my previous phone. I planned on buying a value Samsung or Motorola because they both had good reviews. After looking at all the models in person they had available under 300$ I was pretty disappointed. I picked up this onePlus nord 200 5G and was instantly blown away at the screen quality. I had to double check the pricetag on it. I was very very skeptical buying this phone because iv always been very brand loyal. This phone has surprised me so much since purchase! The battery life is unreal with a full charge capable in about 35 min from fast charging and the processor speed is insane! The phone cycles through apps with virtually zero loading time and can multitask many at once without lagging speeds. It's my first 5G phone and it works fantastic on calls. The camera is the only meh part on the phone but it still is very acceptable for the price point. Besides the camera, this phone absolutely blows my old galaxy S10+ away in all aspects! I have no desire to fix my old phone now and am going to see how long this 200$ phone will last and when the sad day comes when it meets it's inevitable smartphone fate, I will definitely upgrade to the most current OnePlus flagship phone to give them a well deserved chance!

    Bad camera, great screen

If it had better cameras, I'd give it 4 stars. They really should have put in a lower PPI 60Hz display and moved some of that money to the cameras. Good cameras and a good display is better than bad cameras and a great display. Fortunately, side-loading Gcam improves the image quality just enough to be passable. The security updates are also lacking. OnePlus says they're going to provide 3 years of security updates but it's 8/1/21 and the Android Security update is still 4/1/21. The Google Play system update is even older at 2/1/21. My cheap Moto G is at 6/1/21 on both. Also, the 4 gigs of RAM is pretty low these days. When switching apps, I sometimes find that an app I was just using a few minutes ago was shut down and has to completely relaunch. If I go from a news reader to Facebook, to Instagram, and back to the news reader the news reader sometimes re-launches and starts back at the top of the feed. That's about all I can gripe about. It's the best T-Mobile 5G phone you're going to get for the money right now. (I got it for $200 on sale.) The screen is great. The battery easily lasts me 2 days. 64 gigs of storage is enough for me and it has an SD card slot if you need more. It supports sub-6 5G on T-Mobile and I regularly get 300-400mbps around town. Assuming they eventually start pushing updates (and maybe upgrade their camera software!), it'll be a decent cheap phone to hold me over while the C-Band and 2G/3G spectrum gets transitioned to 5G and a new generation of phones comes out.

Great Cheap Phone, missing 3 key OnePlus features

The N200 is responsive, handles most gaming well (not gonna work for top tier gaming, but if that's what you use your phone for, you're not even looking in the sub $700 range anyway), and is a solid performer all around. However, it's missing some of the features that OnePlus is known for. A) There's no silent toggle switch on the side of the phone, so setting ringer, vibrate, or silence is via the volume buttons or Quick Settings in the notification pane. B) No wireless charging, which OnePlus has been up front about with many of their cheaper phones as a cost cutting measure, but it's still missed considering how ubiquitous it has become. C) The fast cable charging is NO WHERE close to the speed of their flagship phones. This has a 5000mAh battery with a charger that runs as slow as Samsung's flagships. Compared to a OnePlus 9 or 10 that's a snails charging pace, but thankfully the battery lasts all day in most cases so charging overnight is still viable, just be aware you won't get the 30 minute tank up the more expensive OnePlus phones enjoy.

My old phone was accidentally destroyed maliciously by an inept "repair service" when it needed a new battery and I needed a new one quick. The OnePlus Nord N200 5g had most of the features on my list-- Gorilla Glass, headphone jack, built in FM radio, plus has 5G (I was actually trying to hold on to my old 2014 phone until 5G was more widespread) at an affordable price. It is a bit larger than what I wanted and the camera is only so-so, but those are my only complaints with the phone itself. It's quick, battery life and charge time are great, and the display is easy to read. Best Buy had no cases for this phone AT ALL. Luckily, T-Mobile is really pushing this model right now and their local store had a plethora of cases, including Otterbox, and screen protectors. Not my carrier, but they got money I would have gladly spent at Best Buy.

    One major drawback...

I do like the N200. Speed is great. Call quality is good. Fingerprint sensor on the side is pretty neat; I set it up so that I can unlock it with either hand when I pick it up. Lots of reviewers have criticized the camera, but it's functional and I'm not that concerned about perfect picture quality like some folks are. I had to travel to St Louis and then to northern Ohio on consecutive weeks and didn't lose connectivity on the road with my 5g T-Mobile service. The display is bright enough and sharp enough for me, too. Battery lasts a little over two days (I am on my phone a LOT), and so that's nice as well. My review title is "One major drawback" and for me it is the storage. I use a lot of storage and 64g is not really enough. I was under the impression that the storage could be expanded with an SD card as "internal" storage...but it cannot! The SD card can only be used as "additional" storage for photos, videos, downloads, etc. This is a huge disappointment for me, as I came from a Moto G that had that capability. Overall, the Nord N200 is a good budget phone (especially because it is 5g), and if you just need a decent cell phone around $250 (or less if you catch a sale), then you can't go wrong with the One Plus Nord N200.

Overall this 5G from Nord is a good one (especially for the low cost) for me. If you don't need every bell & whistle, it makes sense. The battery does not need a charge often at all. Nice camera too! I like my 1+. Glad I switched from my SE iPhone!

Good 5G phone at lowest price. It has most of the features to have in a up to date Android phone including multiple cameras, fingerprint reader & 5G. It also has a major advantage especially at its price point of having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G chip. And last but not least important is that the phone comes unlocked.

It has been a great surprise to have this phone. Its seamless performance makes multitasking effortless, and its camera catches moments flawlessly. It is also incredibly portable and light. It's a relief that I've never experienced problems with signal strength. What's the best thing, then? It didn't come with a hefty price tag. This mobile is unquestionably something to think about if quality is still important to you but money is tight. It has been a dependable friend that goes above and beyond without breaking the bank.

Great smartphone for folks who don't want to choose from other, more premium models. Display graphics are pretty good, and the screen accurately responds to my finger motions. The phone takes a bit to recharge fully, but it also has a very long battery life. I also want to call out the design, since my local Best Buy did not have any models on display. The back is somewhat glossy in an appealing shade of blue, so it doesn't look like a lower-priced phone. And it's a perfect size, neither too big nor too small in my hands/pockets. For downsides, it can take a while to start when turning it on. And the camera is lackluster, even though there are three lenses. Curiously, there's no way to create app folders to help organize the menu. Overall I would still recommend this phone.

Fair camera, good enough performance for the price. Let's face it. No phone camera at this price point is good. It is not like a potato like the ones that are on Nokia 3.4. It is usable, so that's nice. It has a 5G and 90hz screen. Can I complain about it? Sure, but I do not think anyone can get a much better phone at this price unless you import from Xiaomi, Realme, or whatnot. I don't have issues with those brands other than the connectivity issues. I would rather buy a phone that is released for the U.S market than to import some phones and not get a warranty whatsoever. Don't expect this phone to fly through things if you are coming from $1000 phones. This is a budget phone so set your expectations accordingly and you won't be disappointed.

If you are looking for a smartphone for around $200, this is a serious offering. Pros: 90 Hz display (feels super snappy) Lightweight Oxygen OS skin adds minimal bloatware, unlike offerings from Samsung Continued support from OnePlus FAST fingerprint reader Modern, classy design Cons: Below par camera with basically no fine detail Under extreme multitasking you will get hitches No wireless charging If you are upgrading from a phone that is more than 3 years old, this is the best option for the money and I (who previously owned a Samsung Galaxy S7) cannot recommend it enough.

Decent budget phone with good battery back up. The N200 looks good. The screen is bright and responds fast. The fingerprint reader is positioned a little higher than I like but not enough to make it is not pleasing to use. The N200 is very fast. The size of the phone is large but it is slightly a little narrow. This makes for fitting in a hand comfortable. The back is plastic, but you need a phone case to protect for sure

It supposedly has a 5000 mah battery. I got it because my A52 5G has been having issues with staying connected with a basic Jabra bluetooth earpiece. On the N200 it just stays connected. No issues. That tells me right there that the A52 may have bluetooth issues to some extent. The battery on the A52, even though was just 4500 mah, once it topped off at 100% it would stay at that 100% for at least 20 minutes straight before beginning to deplete. The N200, with a battery that has 500 more mah than the A52 begins to deplete after being topped off about 10 minutes after being unplugged. I frankly find that to be a tad deceitful. One would think that it would take longer before beginning to deplete, but such is not the case. Still a good battery, but begins to die out faster than the A52 with the smaller battery. Calls on the A52 were a hit or miss too. I was getting regularly dropped calls. A few times the phone would state that it was not connected to the network. So far none of these things occur with the N200. The N200 has a very bright screen at just 50%. No need to max it indoors at all. The one speaker is decent. Sounds louder when you cup with your hand the bottom of the phone. Calls are clear. And when on speaker, also quite clear as well. Build is very good. I don't care for the whole camera thing. I'm not obsessed with taking pictures. I imagine it is decent enough. At just over 200 bucks, it is pretty good. Is it blazing fast at having only 4 gigs of ram, no. But it isn't dragging either. Honestly, some people use the phone for practically everything. Almost as if it were a laptop. That's ridiculous. For calls, texting, emailing, and surfing the web it is very good.

For the price, this phone is hard to beat. It's fast, looks nice, and takes good pictures. Got this for my father and he seems to really like it. I've tried other low priced phones and they are usually slow and laggy. The N200 is snappy when navigating around the device. It's also fast with TMobile 5G. A browser speed test pulled in over 300Mbps.

Bought this noble boi after my iPhone 7 (bought in 2020) had made me angry for the last time with the fragile screen and overheating. I must admit that I was initially hesitant to buy outside of Apple but after doing a great deal of researching and comparisons with a dash of having a budget to stick to, I decided on the Nord. I have to say after having it for a couple of weeks and getting used to it, the only thing really wrong with it is the camera quality could be better, but that's why it has "pro-mode". Overall, the games I play on it run just as smooth as they did on my iPhone and the apps run beautifully too. I def don't regret buying this unit. Praise Talos.

I recently purchased the OnePlus mobile, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The phone's performance is outstanding, with lightning-fast processing and smooth multitasking. The display is stunning, offering vibrant colors and crisp resolution. The camera quality is exceptional, capturing beautiful photos even in challenging lighting conditions. What's truly impressive is the Dash charging feature, which charges the phone incredibly quickly. The sleek design and build quality are top-notch, making it a pleasure to hold and use. Overall, OnePlus has once again delivered a fantastic mobile experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium smartphone.
