Easy hookup and plays like a charm! Good sound and the price was good. Happy with the purchase.

Couldn’t afford to upgrade my current household system to Bluetooth, so when my old CD changer broke, I got this one to replace it. The sales person tried to talk me out of it and wNted me to buy blue tooth speakers to replace my 10 speakers throughout my house. Would have cost a small fortune. For less than $100, I got this CD changer and will just continue to play my CDs as usual on my system. Very happy with this purchase.

bought this one because of its' ability to play mp3 formatted cds. Works great. 4 stars because it's a little big and sometimes skips.

It’s hard for CD lovers to fine a great way to play there collection’s of music. Nice to have a great multi disc player to enjoy the pure pleasure of sound. Beats downloading and searching files. Keep helping us diehard CD fans happy.

Needed to replace an older cd player that was a 6 disc style. Came across this player while shopping. The price caught my eye. Went on to read through most of the on-line reviews and decided to take a chance. Well built like my older audio components. Works great. Highly recommend. Get the protection for a few cents a day; well worth it.

When purchasing this item I knew the quality would be good since I've had Onkyo products in the past but wasn't sure if the 6-disc would be as durable as my last CD Disc player but after a year , it's still working and sounds great. Needed a little help with certain parts of setup but if your savvy with tech issues, you're good to go-not a difficult setup. Dependable brand, great price.

I was happy to find a carousel CD changer still being made. In fact, it's the only one I could find when I went looking. Onkyo is a well established brand so I had no qualms about my purchase. Unfortunately, I think they know they have no competition in this segment, as the unit lacks some features I had come to expect from similar devices I have owned in the past. Also there have been a number of issues with it reading discs. First, what I felt was missing. My last CD carousel had a 'spiral' feature. When you pressed this button. the machine would play one track from a disc, then move on to the next disc, and so on. This could then be combined with the random mode, so that the track played from each disc was chosen at random. This would continue until all tracks on all discs were played. The beauty of this was when everybody in the room wanted to hear different music, we'd each select a few discs, load the machine, and everyone had an equal chance of hearing their music spread evenly. Also, there were multiple randomization modes on my old unit. Pressing it once would just shuffle the current disc, while pressing it twice would shuffle the entire load of discs. In contrast, this unit has no 'spiral' feature. And random will only shuffle the entire load, no option for only one disc without removing anything else in the tray. The disc read issues have me thoroughly confused. I will often leave the same six discs in the player for a few days, sometimes over a week. Typically they all play fine. But every once in a while it will decide that a disc that played just fine earlier that day (or even for the past few days) is now dirty, and skips as if it is covered in fingerprints. I am wondering if a manufacturing issue means that sometimes the laser has difficulty tracking, or if maybe when the unit gets warm enough the laser has trouble focusing. Or maybe there are bugs in the software. Power cycling the unit will sometimes clear the issue, but this is an unreliable remedy. Overall, it does most of what I want. But it's unreliable behavior, coupled with missing features that I expected at this price point, makes me wish that there had been at least ONE other competing unit to choose from.

Six disc changer works like a charm, but make sure you load each disc carefully so it fits into its individual holder. If you don't, the machine will stop working. THEN, turn the player so that the disc drawer faces down. All the loaded (correctly or incorrectly) will fall out and the player will work again. Easy to set up & produces great sound if you have quality speakers.

My old 5 disc changer (different brand) broke this past year and I was having a hard time finding a new one. I found this one at Best Buy and could not be happier with it! It is perfect for my stereo component system!

I bought the Onkyo 6-disc CD player to replace a 90’s Yamaha 5-disc changer. I had very few problems with my old model, especially skipping. The Onkyo carousel is smooth and quiet, easily functions with remote. My objection is that with almost every play I have to reposition each disc or wipe the disc due to skipping, mostly on the first 2 tracks. My discs are well cared for. I made sure the unit was level, but with wood floors, there may be a little bounce on the foundation. I can think of no other reason that this unit would be so “high-maintenance”. It is a nice unit , otherwise. It pairs well with my Yamaha receiver. I do miss the single track repeat function of my Yamaha.
