The 6 disk CD player has great sound, intuitive controls and is easy to load. It is the perfect CD player for the holiday season with the ability to load 6 CDs and play them in order or shuffle play through them all. Would alos be great with any mix of music for a party. Highly recommend.

The most economical CD player available, while also providing some of the most advanced CD player functionality on the market. Set up and installation was a breeze, the remote is very functional, and the CD plays as well as the best CD player available.

Enjoying it so far. Very convenient to have 6 CDs playing on random during a dinner party. It's not an issue for me but, as some other reviews mention, it's big and it's heavy.

Best CD player for the price. Sound quality is excellent for both CD and MP3. The changer and the related programming is good. I will definitely recommend this player to serious CD media listners. Delivers what it promises.

This is the third, maybe the fourth of these Onkyo CD players that I’ve had. So, I suppose you could say I like them. Well, the features are pretty good. You can change all the discs except the playing disc without stopping the music. Nifty enough, but the cost is that this is an extra deep machine. You need to make allowance for it on your shelving. It also seems to be a little slow on rotating around and reading discs. But the big issue is that they only last perhaps five years. I took my last one apart to see why it didn’t work any longer. As far as I could see it was just one cheap plastic cog that had failed. But the machine was not going back together so I had to buy a new one. Here’s the truth, unless you go up to real audiophile machines for more dollars, this is about the only budget multi-player around - so you’re kind of stuck. I sure wish they lasted longer.

I originally opted for the yamaha i believe sd 303 was the name but it would skip at the ending tracks on cds. After some reaearch i seen this was a known problem updated the firware and no dice returned it and bought this. This onyko plays flawlessly has an excellent built in dac all cds sound fabulous. I really enjoy it next to my turntable still like vinyl better but hey cds are cheaper and easier to find some vinyl is impossible to find i have seen some negativereviews on this unit as well but they have been making it for over 20 years so it must be pretty reliable and if you still are on the fence buy the prtection for 4 years I did that way i know I am covered but i have used this changer alot and its awesome only negative is make aure you have space to put it as it is pretty darn big lol

I bought this 6 disc player to replace a 5 disc Sony player that I've had for a long time. Man; have I been missing out, not only does it keep playing while you change out the other discs, it sounds amazing. I enjoy live music sets and this player keeps the sound right where it needs to be with zero loss because of distortion.

After 25 years my old Pioneer 6 disc cartridge player finally gave up. I checked Pioneer's website but they no longer made a CD changer like my old one. I then searched the internet for CD player changers and started reading reviews. The one feature I loved about my old Pioneer was the ability to play random tracks from random CD's. The Onkyo DX-C390 fit the bill and the reviews were positive by in large. We play CD's every evening when we can sit on the patio, sip a glass of wine and listen to our music. The random play works wonderfully and the sound is crisp and clear. I didn't realize how tired my old Pioneer had gotten but this Onkyo unit is a wonderful replacement.

It operates very smooth and quietly. It’s got all the right functions and everything I was looking for. The sound quality is superb, and it looks great! I was replacing a Sony CD player that lasted me 15 years. I believe I’ve found the right one!

I found this 6-disc CD player to have all of the features I need including random play capability. Installation was straight forward and easily connected to my other components. Not my number one criteria, but I find it attractive as well. I have not had this unit long enough to comment on reliability but the sound quality works well with my amp and speakers.

Good features, nice design. Especially like the random function, which randomizes across the six discs. Two areas to be aware of - the unit weighs a fair amount, so be mindful of that. Also, the length of it may be bigger than some audio cabinets. I had to cut a hole in the back wall of my shelf so it would fit. Otherwise, no complaints. Good quality for the price.

I purchased this Onkyo CD player to replace an old Sony 60 CD player that lasted us many years. It was an AM/FM, CD player with its own speakers. I couldn't find anything like it so we decided to get a standard multiplayer for our receiver. I've had Onkyo products in the past and considered them to be high end equipment. This CD player was easy to set up and easy to use. It also looks really nice. The only thing I find as a slight issue, is that it seems to be very sensitive and skips relatively easily. The first day I got it, my 6 year old granddaughter wanted to hear one of her cds and she began dancing around a bit and the CD would skip. I didn't think too much about it then because she was really jumping around, but the next day, I played one my own cds and as I was just walking near the player, it skipped a couple of times. We live in an older home with hardwood floors so there is always some vibration, but I would think that the dampening mechanism in this player would be able to handle some vibration. Apparently not as much as you would think. It is however a very nice player and looks good as well. Just don't play "Old McDonald" for your 6 year old granddaughter with it.

Bought this to add a cd play to my stereo system. Was easy to add to reciever and was able to set up in minutes. Cd player can hold up to 6 cds in row and comes with a remote. Great for long music play and you can even change cds while the current cd is playing, making it great to keep the music going. Would recommend to anyone.

Sadly this is the only multi-disc CD changer/player that I could find anywhere to replace my prior unit, which died, I guess nobody plays CDs anymore! However the unit is sturdy, has great sound quality, and matched up well with my receiver and cassette player (!) that are also both made by Onkyo. Their components usually last a long, long time. The only drawback to this unit (as opposed to the SONY 5-CD player I had previously) is that it does not display the number of tracks/current track playing on the display, a feature that I used a lot on the SONY. It will tell you the CD has 12 tracks, but you won't know which track is actually playing. Oh well, better than nothing!

With the ease-of-use that comes along with streaming music, most people have forgotten thet CDs, tapes, and vinyl are still alive and sound way better. Smart speakers are nice, but nothing beats a good stereo, and there's something about selecting what album you want to listen to and firing it up that makes the experience more special. Having said that, and stepping off the soap box, we bought this CD changer because we listen to our rather large CD collection and wanted something to replace our aging single-disc Technics player. I had some doubts at first, but this Onkyo works very well and sounds terrific. It's proof that you can find a good-sounding CD changer without paying through the nose for it. Honestly, there's nothing bad to say about it.

Just purchased this CD player on 6/5/24 and set it up a few days ago. I was a bit skeptical about buying this unit due to the problems some people have had with this unit discussed in other reviews. But given that there aren't any other affordable multi-disc players out there, the next cheapest is a Yamaha unit at twice the price. I bought it but did get the 4 yr. Geek Squad plan for protection. So far it is playing CD's fine with no issues. I hooked it into my Technics rack stereo system as it replaces my 30+ year old Technics multi-disc player that had started skipping. Still hoping to find someone to repair the Technics unit to have as a backup. I tried cleaning the optical reader but that didn't fix it so it must be something electronic. My only complaint on the Onkyo unit is I logged into my account to write this review and see that Best Buy is selling the cd player for $25.00 less than what I paid for it 10 days ago!!

This cd player is exactly I was hoping for. I love that it holds six discs at once and that you have the option to have one cd play one after another as well as randomize tracks from each disc in the player. The remote control works perfectly. If there was one thing I wish this model had was a sleep timer.

Works pretty good. Fairly easy to figure out. Runs a bit slower than my old Sony CD player that eventually bit the dust after 20 years of use. I use it to play my music during my magic show at my business at the Magic Fun House Castle. I hope this CD player holds up at least as long as my old one. Had a few issues with what appeared to be a spot of grease get on a few of my CDs somehow. Figured it came from the internal mechanisms factory grease that didn't get cleaned off during assembly. Hope that doesn't happen anymore. But I love it so far and I like having the six disc CD changer instead of my old five. Thanks for the speedy delivery to the store after I ordered it. *<{;-}>
