I purchased an onxyo 6 cd player and a sony stereo receiver. Both are easy to use and have great features. I especially like the fact that the receiver has Bluetooth capability . The cd player is very easy to use and sounds fantastic.

I had trouble believing a CD player would actually sound better than another. I still don't understand it when it said I'd hear more of the middle range, but it's undeniable that the music sounds better.
Not happy with all the differences between this and my SONY that died like so many others stated. I really miss their dial that let me scroll through all the songs on a CD. It's been months and I'm not quite used to how to use the remote or load CD's and know which will play in which order. I don't get why it skips left and right.
But I love having 6 vs. 5. I love putting it on shuffle, and don't worry about the 3 or 5 seconds between songs. Enjoy the silence.

Sounds great! It is a bit large so you need to have space. the Random feature is good, and it holds 6 cd's.

I don't use this very often - too many alternative sources for listening to music. But when I do, I am amazed by the sound quality. There is an overwhelming menu of options and plays back everything but a peanut butter sandwich. Love the ability to load and walk away, not having to attend to it any further for hours. But I have to admit, my favorite feature is the ominous green light on the front, reminding me of Gort every time I look at it.

This CD player was easy to install, operating instructions were easy to learn, and CD discs play flawlessly. I purchased this Onkyo to replace a 32-year-old Sony CD player that recently failed to perform.

Good CD Player (see comparison with C-7030)

I used both this and the C-7030. My main priority was sound quality.
I found that DX-C390 and C-7030 both had inbuilt DACs (so they had digital outputs like Optical Toslink and Coaxial in addition to the Analogue RCA outputs).
Sound quality was my main requirement and concern - multi CD changing ability was not a necessity - so probably just a good to have.
I compared these 2 CD players (DX-C390 and C-7030) for sound using both digital and analog outputs. To my surprise I found no difference. I was using a Marantz Stereo Amp and Wharfedale Diamond speakers
Pros
1) Well Built
2) Decent sound quality
3) 6 CD changing ability
4) Not expensive
Cons
1) Bulky

Purchased the CD player as a replacement for my 5 disc player, this is a 6 disc player. Love it, easy to operate, easy to connect. Slightly larger than I expected, but it works great.

Nice 6 disc CD changer. The unit was large in terms of size; but was very easy to set up and sounds great. I highly recommend using a digital coaxial cable for the best sound quality.

I replaced my 300 CD player with this 6 CD player. I’m very happy with this Onkyo DX -C90. I hooked it up and played a single disc to make sure it was good to go. I loaded 6 cds and used random play mode. Very smooth transition between songs and different CDs. I use a Onkyo Tx NR686 and home theater speakers set up with 7.1 and it’s a great sound.

This was a replacement for a 17 year old 5 disc cd player. I'm not ready to give up my CD collection and the depth of sound you get from a receiver with a real equalizer and full size speakers. It's working great and I am enjoying it.

I have a large collection of audio CD's that I have acculumated over the years, and when my old Sony CD player gave out, I was looking to replace it with a 6 CD player. I went online to Best Buy and saw that the Onkyo CD Player was on sale and was $20 off the list price. I am extremely satisified with the purchase. Easy to install, Outstanding sound quality. With my large investment in Music CD's, it was a smart decision.

I purchased an Onkyo CD changer at the black Friday sale to replace a flaky Kenwood 5-disc changer that I love, but they do not make anymore. It's hard to find CD changers these days with the popularity of music streaming, so my choices were limited. I have had bad experiences with Sony CD players, so I do not recommend them. I like that it is a 6-disc changer but I have only used audio CDs in it so far, so I can't say how it works with MP3's. The one feature that my Kenwood changer had that I miss on the Onkyo is that you cannot see the total number of tracks on the CD when you are not playing a CD.

I was hesitant in making this purchase since it is the only new multi-disc player I could find after looking for over a year. When it went on sale, I finally pulled the trigger and made the purchase. It’s a good looking unit with easy to follow installation and operating instructions and it’s face looks great when illuminated. It sounds terrific through my older Marantz amplifier and Boston Acoustics surround speakers. The only caveat is it’s size at 17 x 17 inches, it may not fit in a good number of cabinets. A great purchase.

I have hundreds of CDs at home that I do not want to toss aside to streaming! Plus our stereo has some really great tower speakers that do serious justice to the CD experience.
As our older CD changer broke, I found this one, which had great ratings. It is a nice replacement, with excellent sound quality. The only reason that I am not giving it 5 stars is .... you have to have CDs in sequential positions in the changer for it to play continuously. IF, for instance, you have a CD in the #1 position and another one in the #3 position, it will stop playing after the first CD is finished. It does not search for a CD in the rotation positions. It does handle shuffles nicely.
The sound is great, which is the biggest factor.

I am an audiophile, so I have more demands on sound quality than most. I just wanted a basic CD changer to quickly replace my defunct player while I find a suitable replacement during an anticipated long search. I got this open box unit, and it had a surprise audiophile CD in the tray. Apparently an audiophile bought it first, did not like it and returned it. He was the hasty kind, and his lack of patience served him badly (thanks for the bonus CD buddy!), as indeed, while it was quite disappointingly flat out of the box: zero high frequency extension and absolutley no imaging. After a few hours of break-in it really started to open up, the high frequencies coming out. After a week of burn-in it is good enough that its sound straight out of the analog out compares head to head to the output from my highly modified PSAudio DAC! I am shocked, to say the least. PS: you can change the discs while a disc is playing...

Great CD player. Easy to use and very good features like the random play. This replaced a CD player that cost more than twice this Onkyo and the quality and sound is every bit as good.
