I bought this primarily to connect a range of devices to a Sony Bravia TV. Does that well enough and surround sound speakers sound fine. I dislike, though, the remote, where the lettering is very difficult to read. As remote is used all the time, that's a negative to me.

God low priced receiver, but could have better ports for connectors and lacks a port for a remote signal pickup bug.

The volume button on a remote control does not work half the time.the warranty people want me to mail the whole receiver in. I shouldn't have to pay for the postage to mail in the hole receiver to get at fix.

This unit works perfectly to utilize all our devices through the surround sound. The only downside is the unit itself is very large and doesn't fit well in a regular tv stand. We had to place the unit in the lower cupboard compartments in our tv stand, which makes using the remote control almost impossible. If it would fit well in our stand, I would give this product 5 stars.

Simple installation; rather complex manual sound adjustments available. But there is an interesting system for automatically setting up speaker balance using their "AccuEQ Room Calibration" - and it seemed to work well. The only problem we encountered was teaching our AT&T "universal remote" to control the Onkyo master volume. Solved, by getting an updated remote, with new Onkyo codes. Works fine now!
