Many find the setup process quick and easy, and appreciate the high power and additional features offered at its price point. However, some customers have noted that the front display seems lacking and there is too much clicking between inputs.

It makes a clicking noise before and after each commercial. The clarity of the sound is mushy.

Got a lemon ! Only half the functions stayed working - Wi-Fi worthless, dropped constantly whether wired or wireless- OSD jittery and inconsistently not displaying on TV - zone 2 would not play a digital source so returned. Best Buy customer service is the best. Got a Denon now and it’s flawless.

Complete waste of money. Its no longer returnable and now doesnt work after about 3 months of use. The hybrid standby button flashes and clicks and no longer turns on. Ive tried unplug and restarting with no resolution. First and last Onkyo

I bought this, to replace my 25 year old Onkyo, that predates HDMI or USB for that matter. I missed having surround sound at home. I also wanted the best bang for the buck. I was going to buy a Denon AVR-x2700h, but, I read about the hdmi 2.1 problems, that plagued the early adopters. Onkyo missed those problems by skipping a year. The Denon was more expensive, and less powerful. That, and, as I mentioned, already have a problem free, 25 year old Onkyo. Now, to be clear, I’m only using it in 5.1, at the moment. But it still sounds incredible to me. Would I love to have an IMAX enhanced unit? Sure! I’d love to be enveloped in sound, with the TX-nr7100! But, it’s twice the price! And I’m sure Atmos will sound great, once I figure out how to add 2 more speakers. I absolutely love how well it communicates with my Samsung Q80 tv. The E-ARK works great! One wire! I’m still figuring it out, at this point, however. But, so far, it does exactly what I want it to. I originally set it up, using the supplied microphone, but went back and fine-tuned it manually, once I figured out how to bring the menu up on my tv. I went in and tried to set up my Wi-Fi, but, for some reason, I couldn’t get it to connect. I ended up using my phone to set it up. It was a lot easier, though I’m still not sure if it stays connected without my phone present. I also found out the hard way, to turn off the Bluetooth receiver and transmitter. I connected it to my Sony headphones, and never turned it back off. It took me an hour to figure out why I wasn’t getting sound to my speakers. Lol! What can I say, this thing is smarter than me. I gave it 4 stars, but, it deserves 4.5-7 Giving it 5 stars, is unrealistic… I don’t even read 5 star reviews. There’s always better…. Or is there?

Onkyo being one of the most trusted names in all of the Audio/Visual world, the TX-NR6100 covers all the bases and then some (especially when you take the MRSP into consideration). My review also includes the following which was part of the package: Klipsch R-600F Klipsch R-101SW Klipsch R-30C Klipsch R-40SA Klipsch R-50M I thought I'd mainly be using this for my movie collection, but as I delved deeper into the settings and options, I quickly realized I could throw a lot more at this than just film. 4K 120hz, HDR, and Dolby Atmos/Vision work amazingly well. Knowing that 8K is just around the corner and that this system is already capable of handling it has me extremely excited for what the future holds. Many other reviews mentioned gaming, music, and film; all of which I can attest to. I played 24-bit FLAC files and the sound is breathtaking. Of course, 320cbr sound great, too, but the punch and depth from those more robust files is seriously taken advantage of with a setup like this. The only thing audio-wise that I didn't get a chance to try out was my turntable setup. But I have no doubts it will be amazing once I get the chance to move everything into place. When it comes to film, the most recent 4K Dolby Atmos/Vision releases I have sounded superb. My other sound setup is a DT Studio Slim and I absolutely love it, especially as it is such a small/easy to hide system. The Studio Slim has performed amazingly well and is something I have been more than happy with, but this receiver in conjunction with these speakers? OMG, night and day. I can't recommend the TX-NR6100 enough, nor can I deny how well is works with the Klipsch Reference line of speakers. Brilliant combination and beyond worth the investment!

First-The unit I ordered didnt get delivered on time. Second-After being hooked up, the system failed to work 2 days later. No follow up call from anyone to see how it was going-even after I texted the store assistant manager about the late delivery-he didnt follow up after he said he would! hard to review an item that isnt working!

The set up was a little tricky because our TV and other components are not so new, but once everything was hooked up correctly it works great! I love being able to connect to Bluetooth for music. The sound quality is so much better than through the old receiver we had.
