Audio is crisp and clear. Setup was quick and easy. Used the mic to setup the spatial distance and crossover capabilities of my speakers. Great addition to my home theatre.

I purchased this receiver to replace an old Yamaha one with only one HDMI port. I initially purchased another Yamaha but just wasn’t able to get the sound back to the levels of the old unit. I switched to the Onkyo and not only did it immediately sound as good as the old Yamaha, the setup microphone made it sound even better. The setup was way easier too.

Our new Onkyo TX-NR6100 Receiver sounds great. Ease of use required a minimum learning curve from our old Onkyo receiver. which is still working after 17 years. We especially like the "Zone 2" features and the new "ballanced "phono" input for our turntable. The audio for streaming has never sounded better.

This is my second onkyo, as my last one still works, but new tech made it outdated after 15 years of great service. The set up is so easy with on screen display. The manual is a pdf file, so you should use a computer if you really want to read the small print. I may never reach the full capabilities of this receiver. I run a 7.1 system, and it has room for even more possibilities. I am very satisfied with this unit.

The HDMI board on my 2019 Onkyo TX-NR797 started misbehaving one week before the Best Buy extended warranty ran out. Geek Squad sent it out to be repaired. After 3weeks they informed me that Onkyo no longer had the parts and the receiver could not be fixed. They gave me a full refund which went towards an Onkyo TX-NR6100, which is essentially the 797 but with 2 fewer channels, and quite a few software improvements. I signed up for my Best Buy plus for $50, which gave me a discount of about $180 and added Geek Protection. So I got a new receiver for about $130 out of pocket. The 6100 sounds better than the 797, probably because the inbuilt calibration has been improved, and I am still working through all the software enhancements. It complements my GoldenEar Tritons very nicely. So, if you buy a receiver from Best Buy, it pays to join Best Buy plus, and get the Geek Squad protection plan.

This is my second Onkyo product... really like the sound quality and ease to use. Most like feature is it has two zone feature available and be able play different music in different rooms. Love the new features available comparable to the old version. Definitely recommend this product who is looking for budget receiver with advanced features...

My Onkyo TX-NR6100 was just what I was looking for. It was easy to setup and programming was easy and pain free. The sound quality for the price is amazing. You would be hard pressed to find a better product for a better price. I highly recommend this A/V receiver.

This unit replaced an older Onkyo 590 7.1 unit with which I was very satisfied. I was conserned that the added features of the TX-NR6100 was not worth the expense. I can now say it was worht it. The surround sound is excellent as is the ease of operation.

This is by far the best receiver I’ve owned. I’ve had several Sony’s throughout years. I’ve always loved Sony for their simplicity and sound quality. I’ve owned a Denon, although sounds good, but way too much tweaking and couldn’t get the sound the way I wanted. I can tweak this Onkyo settings to exactly the way I like for movies and music. Very happy with purchase. Got it on sale

This is my 6th Onkyo receiver in the past 21 years! Easy set up - plenty of connections - very good sound output. My old TX-DS989 receiver had slightly better quality sound - this is still an excellent AV Receiver

This produces really good audio. Bluetooth pairing and eArc source audio work great. Setting up second zone output is really confusing and did not work as expected.

The TX-NR6100 is a great stereo and almost everything i wanted. I'll tell you why almost in a moment. This stereo has great sound. I love hearing stereo music bounce from one speaker to the other. I can control two rooms separately and with two different audios going. TV, and stereo or CD's and stereo, you get the picture. I still have the ability to have surround sound or attach sub woofers. It also has Bluetooth capabilities all except for my 4th generstion I-pod. That is the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5. My 4th generation can connect to everything else i own except my new stereo. I can however connect my phone to Bluetooth and everything works fine.

Great right out of the box. The speaker connections could be farther apart but that's it. The surround sound calibration is awsome for me. The on screen setup is good. Reciever knew which speakers I had hooked up and all devices really easy.

I recently purchased a Samsung QN800A 8k so needed to update my receiver to take advantage of the TV’s features. Obviously there was limited availability of competitive model receivers. I had researched half a dozen competitors and did not initially have the Onkyo at the top of my list. I have owned several Pioneer Elite and Yamaha receivers and found the relationship between Onkyo and Pioneer help make the decision and the reviews cement my decision. So far performance is excellent. Sound is bright, clean, and the performance meets all my expectations.

This is my first AVR and I must say, it is extremely user friendly and easy to set up. All of the settings are clear to understand. The sound is great also. I have two Polk es60 towers and es35 center along with a def tech dn10 sub with jamo bookshelf speakers as my surrounds. This receiver does AMAZING! Would highly recommend

Super powerful amp. This amp delivers very clear audio to my Klipsch speakers. Setup interface is easy to follow and comes packed full of features like Airplay, EQ, mic setup. You can adjust gain on a per-speaker. A few misses for me is that the amp takes a minute to warmup and produce sound. When ever the amp turns on/off it makes loud clicking noises, which might be annoying for some. I understand what these things happen, but it's what keeps this product from being perfect. It also gets pretty hot so make sure to not cover the vents.

Love this unit! The set up was super easy, and the sound is great (still using my 10 year old Klipsch speakers and sub). Pairs easily to devices and the remote is very easy to work. I replaced a Yamaha with this one and I am extremely pleased!
