Have it hooked up as a 5.1 setup, to Definitive Tech speakers. Everyone that hears a movie or music through this system has been highly impressed.

Great sound!

It has plenty of power and the vocals are clean and clear. After about 20 years of owning Yamaha receivers this Onkyo made me switch.

Handshake Issues

Your exchange policies made the replacement difficult. I had to cancel the original order and reorder it. At that time the unit was off sale and I spent a good amount of time at the store and had to get a manager involved. The second unit works fine and is everything I expected.

Disappointed

Without protection plan, Best no help and need to send to repair shop to be covered under warranty. Due to weight and cost of receiver, shipping cost is over $100. Utilized UPS packing services which did an awful job so now dealing with that as well and I all I want to do is enjoy my surround sound.

I've found the Onkyo to have a warmer sound and more lower end than the A4A. The A4A sound clearer at lower volumes, but this one song his too For the price I would recommend this
