Great value for the price! I needed something for my record player. I even went to Goodwill but it turns out they don’t check to see if those work. They only check to see if they turn on. Typically I would buy from Amazon but the staff were really helpful so I bought it. The return policy is just ok but the convenience of living 2 miles away beats online

Its a plug and play receiver, nothing special about it. Sounds good. If its your first system, then it will be a good unit. But over time you will want to upgrade. So either buy it knowing you will later on change it. Or just bite the bullet and go for something better.

Very diverse settings, plenty of features for hooking up devices to play through the unit. Has a sound mic to help the system balance output through the various speakers at the seat locations. Significant upgrade to our existing stereo unit.

extremely easy to use and install good value for price, however finding the way to activate the sub woofer application was a little to high tech for me

Easy to use, bright light decent sound and in budget range. Ours did stop working, had warranty,,,,that process sucked but JT at Best Buy helped us to finally get a new one after 7 weeks

Has issues with HDMI triggering "safety"

I've spent a couple sad days digging through the internet and a couple ai trying to figure out how to stop the "known issue" about this unit and HDMI CEC. The unit goes into safety mode and will not power on. I have 1 roku, 1 blu-ray, and 1 dvr for security cameras running to it, then its hooked to a tv. To fix the non-start, I have to disconnect the incoming HDMI cables, unplug from the wall, hold the power button for 15 seconds, then plug it back in and it'll work. It works fine after that, sounds good, but trying to get the uh, "less technically inclined" wife to do this daily is NOT going to happen. So back it goes I guess. Huge disappointment.

We did the calibration & most of the speakers aren't very loud; only the sub woofer. I think we need to try it again. It may not have been placed correctly. I still can't understand WHY ALL brands have the darn all black units, & the lettering/numbers in very small dark grey print! There should be a back-light choice or something to be able to read them. You have to have a flashlight & magnifying glass in order to do so! It has some nice features, but I don't think we accessing them very well. Yeah, when in doubt, read the instructions! We did get a good sale price on it. I guess it's OK, but not operating up to it's real potential & that could be a "screw loose in the operator" somewhere!!!

Very solid investment for the price. Excellent quality for sound and performance. We have it running our surround sound with our TV in our living room and are extremely pleased with all aspects. Our sons are thinking about making the same purchase based on our review and discussions. We highly recommend this product.

Excellent quality for the price. Highly recommend for people looking for a complete 7.2 channel receiver (also great as a 5.2) on a budget. Simple, fast setup for those wanting quick help. Can't go wrong!

Got this unit to replace my 16 year old Onkyo which was not Smart TV compatible with my new Samsung 8000 series. Works great! Set up was just a little querky with onscreen setup, but I got through it. New unit is compatible with my old Onkyo cassette tape player which made my wife happy. She has a lot of old cassette tapes she has not digitized. Old DVD player synced just fine.Sound quality is good using my old JBL speakers. For me, the vocal adjustment is fantastic! Many new TV shows have music so loud you cannot discern the dialogue during some scenes. This unit will adjust to bring them in loud and clear. Overall I am very satisfied with the unit and would buy again. ONE NOTE: If you mess up on initial setup, you can reboot setup by following the instructions found on the very bottom of the instruction quick setup guide. One small line in very small print. Easy to miss!

Still breaking it in. Responds well. It is easy to setup. The dolby atmos is awesome. The dts-x is also awesome. Music playback is nice. Only complaint is the spring clips connections. I thought that was old school
