My dad is in a assited living place and can't have a landline phone only a WiFi VoiP base system. We heard about Ooma that uses WiFi and that you just pay the taxes(which aren't bad). We connected thru the Assited living place WiFi and there password on the modem and with a few minutes he is able to make and recieve phone calls.

Ditched our cable, but wanted to keep home phone for a number of reasons. Bought Ooma & paid for home phone number to be ported over from our cable provider. Now we have what is basically free home phone service.

This unit is surprisingly easy to set up. It’s pretty much plug it in and follow the app instructions. Though the device is pretty expensive for what it does, the projected savings long term will hopefully make up for this.

The voice quality is great. The premium package offers many additional features, but not sure if I will use it after the trial period. Make sure you have a decent Internet speed.

We wanted to keep a landline phone number at a lower cost. This does the trick. Relatively easy to set up. Can be hard-wired or set up for your home Wi-Fi network.

I switched from using Walmart’s Smarthome phone service and am very happy. It’s a better service using my home internet than Smarthome which uses an outside cell carrier. It’s also less expensive per month and very easy to port my phone number over.

This product is working well. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that we had an old Ooma and needed to transfer our number over to the new Ooma and that proved challenging and required several contacts with Ooma online to get it worked out.

Had this item for about a month. Works pretty well for the most part. Several times my fax line came on when answering a call. I now only turn on my printer when I'm using it and haven't had the problem.

Ooma has worked well since installation. We have not added any features that would result in monthly charges so we pay only Federal taxes each month.

Got this Ooma for myself and got one for my mom. I had a little setting mine up but after moving the Ooma to another area of the room, I was connected. Customer Service is good and their Tier 2 support was very good. I recommend the Ooma.

The Ooma product is absolutely great. We used it to port a landline to a temporary residence. The literature offers other uses like voicemail and. 911 notifications. I’m so glad we have this.
