Ooma was very easy to set up and I have been using this for conference calls at work. Very clear and no issues. Love the Ooma system. If your looking to get a land line this is the way to go!

Wife needed phone for business, tired of Comcast and their service. Easy setup and porting number took about a week to complete. Tried magicJack first, once installed found out that calls to Alaska were considered international calls, so much for magicJack. Not an issue with the service you can even talk to a real person at OOMA, no such services with magicJack. Would recommend OOMA and have to friends already.

VOIP always has a fraction of a second delay which can be challenging on fast paced conference calls. Quality service (with my good ISP) and probably more features than I really need.

    Great VOIP solution

Purchased this after researching VOIP options as we don't have telephone access. Got the unit home and within 30 minutes had functional telephone over cable. The setup was very simple, and basically did the work itself other than asking a few questions to configure. The sound quality is crystal clear and not tinny or having an echo. Using their Premiere service, was able to get a second line and only pay just under $15/month with the service plus local taxes.

I was so freaking sick of paying the cable company I couldn't wait to cut the cord. Iv'e have ooma for about (5) weeks I love it. I just have to figure out what I have to do so that I am able to fax. Other then that who can complain about paying $5.47 a month not me, Also you get (2) phone numbers which I don't need you do pay a tad bit more for that but not much. Having and extra phone number is good if you have kids. But it's just me I would have given it (5) stars but since it's a little tricky for me when it comes me being able to send a fax which I haven't figure it out yet , Yes I would recommend ii and I was able to keep my phones

Easy to use, way cheaper than a Verizon phone line. Happy to keep our regular phone number, but at substantially reduced cost.

I use this product as a fax machine line, and it works well for what I need it to do. Sometimes it can be a bit slow, but most of the time it works as it should. I really like it was better than MajicJack. The call quality when I tested it out is better than MajicJack. Its also more expense than MajicJack, but in my opinion its worth it.

    Good alternative to cable landline

Good call quality, especially for the savings on a landline over time. It cost $95 for the unit, plus $40 to switch my phone number. After downgrading my cable package, I'll have made my money back by this month's cable bill (saved $100 last month, $100 this month). Of course we cut back a lot on our TV package, but even without that, you'll make your money back in a few months. Service seems good, and you have mobile apps for placing calls over WiFi through the Ooma service when you're out if you have good WiFi in a bad cell area. Can also receive calls, and check voicemail over mobile. $10/mo premiere service will give you a second line and other perks, including call blocking/bans. I've only had a few telemarketer calls since I started the premier service trial, and it's election season.

At first I was skeptical about Ooma. However it was easy to set up and even integrate with a multifunction modular corporate phone system. This has saved us a large amount of money every month!

When my 2 year contract expired with Comcast I was looking for a way to save some money. I found this Ooma system online and liked what I was reading. Almost seamless installation, had it up and running with the hour. Ported my old phone number and it took less than a week to be approved by Comcast. Only issue as during your trial period of the Premier service (which we passed on) your temporary assigned phone number you get when you first install shows up as your phone number on caller ID. This confused family and friends initial thinking it was a telemarketers calling. Dropped my phone bill from $35 to $5.34 a month with the same service.

Works great and I was able to port my current home number over. It saves a lot over phone service - for me it will pay for itself in under 4 months. My fax machine works perfectly with it as well... just need to change how many rings before the fax picks up or turn off the Ooma voicemail by calling Ooma. My only complaint is Ooma customer service representatives are not the best at understanding your needs and promises to follow up are not fulfilled... you have to call back. I have a feeling the customer service department is out of the country.

This phone system is great. I had a few minor problems in first couple of weeks but since then it is fine. My bill has gone from $66 to $6.10. I am very pleased so far
