* other than telcom taxes and fees.
Bought this to reduce my ATT bill but still keep a home landline. Works fine, bill for basic service is just the mandatory taxes and telcom fees (about $5 where I live) and includes voice mail. Available premium service includes more features than I need so I opted out but is only about $20/Mon.

After ever increasing bills, I ported my number and never looked back. Setup was a breeze, and the porting process was much easier than my experience with the cell phone companies. The quality of the service has been great, with no delay/echo/jitter. The best part is the price for the monthly service!

With Ooma my home "Internet" phone went from $30 per month (AT&T) to $6 per month! So far it has worked very well. Only had to reboot it once since installing it.

We were tired of paying high prices for a landline

Landline phone was getting expensive but we really didn't want to give up our number that we've had for 32 years. Don't really need landline but it saves us from getting those annoying robo calls, political calls etc on our cell. We are on the Do not call list but many get through from time to time. This Ooma is $9.99 a month and the machine itself was @$99 at Best Buy. I used my reward zone dollars and got it for $45!. Either Best Buy and Amazon were same price without Reward zone dollars but I get reward zone points. So far it's great! Annoying calls go straight to voicemail now after I've blocked repeated sales calls from the same number.

This is my 3rd Ooma Telo. 2 for different houses and this one because the original started to fail after over 9 years. I subscribe to the extra goodies because of the convenience of things like getting voice mail in my email in box but, if all you need is basic dial tone, the Telo is extremely reliable and economical.

I bought this so that my mom could keep her phone number. I’m porting her number and saving $30 a month for the same service. Definitely a great alternative to a landline which with most companies is VOIP anyway.

We finally replaced our land line. Ooma sound quality is excellent. We just plug our existing Uniden cordless base telephone in and it works! We save at least $45 per month with this--and still have the convenience of grabbing the phone and making a call (without having to find the cell phone).

I purchased this to save on my telephone bill. It was costing over $80.00 per month to have a land line. With the Ooma I pay around $10.00 a month. I am retired and this is a fantastic deal. I was able to keep my old phone number, when I signed up for the annual ,plan, at no cost. I highly recommend the Ooma.

I love OOMA, most of my family have it and never any issues. Porting was easy and fast and it is pretty much plug and play. Sure beats the alternatives.

I got this ooma after having it for what feels like a decade at work. It is super reliable...as long as you have internet - you should be good to go. The taxs and fees are a pain but so much less than what a real land line would cost. Happy to cut cords and it is so much nicer to be able to use speaker phone off a handset compared to my cell phone.

Works pretty much as advertised. Wish Ooma had not taken the opportunity to spam me with untold numbers of emails. Cost of porting over a number is outrageous, last VOIP phone service I had charged nothing.

I bought this as a gift for my sister. She has limited technical skills but she was able to get this set up. I also have an Ooma in my house. It is a good alternative to an expensive landline. We both have been able to save money by discontinuing our Cox cable phone.

Good, but I has an installation issues over ridiculously easy to change issue.
Two functionaally different Ethernt sockets are located close to each other and marked with bareillyvisible black on black scratches.
It would be less confusing with tge small black on white stickers there.
After installationit works perfectly

Ooma has several features that are very useful. The most exciting feature is the ability to block specific numbers as well as to set the general level to block. I started a list, and then just go on the computer to add the numbers. This has cut down on the unwanted calls and is so easy to do.
