I had stared at each phone bill, but was reluctant to pull the plug. A good tech-savvy friend recommended Ooma Telo, and I took the plunge. It works great, and costs almost nothing. Great combination.
Easy to install. Great tech support from Ooma, too. Good by phone company.

Excellent device. This is reliable and much cheaper than cable company options. The Best Buy offer was cheaper than the same thing from Ooma. Works great.

After considering several options for VOIP phone service, we decided on Ooma. It is considerably less expensive than our old landline service with many more features. Now that my home security system is no longer tied to a landline phone, I am able to discontinue that service and go with VOIP.
So far we are satisfied with Ooma, especially since I can black list calls from telemarketers and other robocallers.

It works will with Comcast system BUT, make sure Comcast has a low JITTER rate (they occasionally don't and the JITTER must be adjusted by Comcast-nothing the average use can do). The JITTER must be below 10 for it to work well. I would go to various websites to check the JITTER rate for your cable system (pingtest.net a good site) before investing in Ooma. If you have a low JITTER rate it will be great. High JITTER rate (above 10) will cause problems. Know the JITTER rate before you buy!

I cannot believe how easy and simple the change over was... I kept my old number for a $39.89 fee. I received my new bill for UNLIMITED calling (Long Distance) and it was $4.53 TOTAL! I will save over $870.72 from my previous AT&T Phone Bill.

I am using 6 of these at different locations. Used at least 2 times daily unattended. Work well. Access to account easy, but wish they would let an account have more than one telephone. I have six accounts. Otherwise, work fine.

This worked just as advertised and was very easy to setup and even moved my old number over. My phone bill went from $72.00 a month to $5.00 a month and I can take the OOMA with me when I travel.

Disconnected my landline ....and the monthly bill, now I receive my voice mails as emails kept my phone number, the voice quality so far is good, it works . The only issue is that if your wifi or electricity goes down, you don't have a phone, but if your cellphone works then it shouldn't be a problem.

Gave as a house warming gift to my sister who lives in a dead zone for cell service. Very inexpensive monthly phone bill. If you don't add any extras phone bill in our area is $4.23. Nice thing is you can take your phone number and the box with you when you move. Great voice clarity. I own one as well.

I have been a MagicJack user for years but for some reason MagicJack would not accept automated menu item inputs. The OOMa unit seems to work well. Voice quality is OK and menu item input works. The monthly charge for taxes (~$6.00) is a lot more than what I paid for MagicJack but considerably less than a landline. All in all, not bad.

I brought this on the advice of my brother. Saved $100 a month on phone bill. Service is great. Got one for a friend who did not want to get rid of their home phone. I was able to port my number without a problem, but I had to pay a fee.

If you need a home phone and tired of the monthly payment, this is the easiest and viable method. there are other options out there. and for simplicity i picked this one. its literally as easy as registering it online and plugging it in. only thing i havent done is give it priority on my router. AT&T is fired.
