This is my second set. The first one worked for me for 15 years in two different homes. And I am very happy either the quality of performance for such a jong time.

    Nice Unit

I have been a MagicJack user for years but for some reason MagicJack would not accept automated menu item inputs. The OOMa unit seems to work well. Voice quality is OK and menu item input works. The monthly charge for taxes (~$6.00) is a lot more than what I paid for MagicJack but considerably less than a landline. All in all, not bad.

Great item for landline service. Price for service is very reasonable. I wish I had purchased this item years ago.

I brought this on the advice of my brother. Saved $100 a month on phone bill. Service is great. Got one for a friend who did not want to get rid of their home phone. I was able to port my number without a problem, but I had to pay a fee.

If you need a home phone and tired of the monthly payment, this is the easiest and viable method. there are other options out there. and for simplicity i picked this one. its literally as easy as registering it online and plugging it in. only thing i havent done is give it priority on my router. AT&T is fired.

What can I say, the quality of both the Voice connection and the product itself is FANTASTIC!! I really love this product and I'm so happy a friend told me about it. I wish I would have moved sooner!

I was skeptical since I heard mixed opinions about VOIP. This works great as far as voice quality. It is quite clear without delays. I have very solid high-speed internet which I am sure helps. I put this device behind my router instead of in front as recommended, with no performance issues. The only things I don't like are the high costs and delays to transfer your existing number and the high monthly cost of their all-in-one-or-nothing premium service package. The bare bones taxes-only plan gives you no features at all. Also, despite following all instructions and hints, I cannot get faxing capability to work through Ooma and I see that it is a problem experienced by others when researching the problem. I use faxing occasionally and find this a big inconvenience. Altogether this is why I gave it 3-stars instead of 5. I would gladly change to 5 stars if they offered features such as caller ID and blocking separately at less cost and they resolve the faxing issue.

Having has this for a year now, I am amazed at how much this has saved me. Instead of the high monthly cost charged by my cable company, this wonderful little unit has cost me around $6 per month. So it paid for itself within a couple of months and I couldn't be more pleased.

My ooma Voip is a good alternative to still have a home phone and fax at a cheap rate. All I pay if for the monthly taxes thats about 5 bucks a month, versus 30-40 monthly though cable provider. Only issue is you get a lot of telemarketers but stop it once I put the number on the goverment donotcall list.

I bought this to replace my last one, which finally broke after several years of use. It works and does what it is supposed to. The curbside service at the store was really fast and efficient too.

Ordered and entire replacement surround sound. It works wonders around our old system. Real pleasure to listen to now. The Harmony remote was programmed perfectly and has worked wonderful, it is so nice to just push one button for anything we want to play. Four stars because the harmony has malfunctioned 3 times but everything else is perfect.

Replaced my Comcast phone service and ditched the over priced bill that came with it each month. The sound is actually more clear and reliable then the Comcast service. Never looking back!

My wife thinks we still need a home phone, and with a kid, it is nice to have one for talking with grandparents and having more than one person on the line with him. It has saved me every month vs bundled phone with internet provider.

Works great. Ported landline to Ooma. Porting only took about a week, which usually takes about three or four weeks. Good call quality and saving money.

We really don't use our home phone that much so of course we don't want to spend that much. With our old provider it was costing around 30 bucks a month for service so after 4 months we will have free home phone for life. Not bad.

Best phone service I have ever had. I’ve used straight talk home and vontage. We have satellite internet too and it works better then straight talk home did. Cost to much for regular home phone

Install was fairly easy. I had to get a longer cat 5 cable to put it were I wanted it. Good voice quality you can call anywhere in the US for free. I took the basic service ( no voice mail ,blocking,no nothing). which is just the gov. fees. Also I have charter cable for internet service.
