Unit was easy to set up and works as intended. Unfortunately the Ooma online instructions for activation were lacking. Overall it will pay for itself.

We bought this so we could drop our phone line with Comcast. I liked that we could port our number over although it was an additional cost. The set up was easy and call quality is clear. It was nice that we could use our old handsets without any issues too.

I was able to port my old number from Vonage to Ooma. The saving on month bill (<$4 now compared to $37 before) will pay off the device and portting fee in a few month. Initial issues with call quality were resolved by customer service.

I bought this to replace the telephone service I had from my cable company. So far I have been very pleased. I had my old number ported over which took about a week to complete. The setup was easy and I have no complaints.

I purchased this item to get rid of the ridiculous AT&T phone bill. So far it seem to work as promised. I will come back with more reviews on this item in a few more months of usage.

Easy to install, quality of calls the same as wiith our landline. You can get your voicemail and call log by email. And you only pay taxes which are billed monthly. We're really happy with our Ooma and the savings!

Great phone system if you still want something in addition to a cell phone! I looked extensively, checking reviews, etc. of other companies and came upon the Ooma VoIP Telo Home phone service. Reviews across the board were mostly all very favorable. I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! Only had one connection where the other party had problems hearing me. Believe it or not, it was Best Buy customer service center! No more monthly home phone line bill as you just pay the tax! Wish I would have been informed of the adapter availability though!

Easy set up. Sometimes the messages don't play back as clear as I would like but it could be our connection. The transfer of our home phone was faster than expected.

i bought this recently to replace a 7 year old unit that gave up the ghost rather suddenly. i was glad Best Buy had this in stock so i could swap out my old one and replace it with this one. this unit and our old one have saved us a lot of money. for little over $4 a month in taxes, we have a landline that replaced what AT&T was charging us $30/month for previously. no real complaints beyond the first one dying. it's unclear what happened although these "real buttons" are superior to the touch interface of the older generation Tele which had become tacky to the touch the year. it appears Ooma learned from the prior generation.

We have had a Ooma box for a long time, almost 8 years. It started rebooting randomly. We replaced that old unit with this one and it has been smooth sailing since.

We still need a home phone for emergencies and we're so glad we bought the Ooma Telo. We used to have a bundled cable service, but with prices getting ridiculously high and streaming content being a better option for us, we needed to cut the cord, but also keep our home phone at a reasonable cost. Ooma Telo allows us to do that. We only have to pay the government fees, which is currently less than $7/month. The service has been great and we're so glad we got the Ooma Telo.

Was easy to setup. The port of my phone number only took about 5 days. Just wish you could lower the light level of the OOMA blue light, it acts like a night light.

I bought this because a relative already had one and was using it successfully. I like the idea of a one time purchase and then a small (ours is a little above $5) per month fee. Feels like free compared to what the cable company wanted to charge. And, the cable phone service wasn't working properly through my house phone lines, so the fact that this only worked through my digital phone and extra handsets was no big deal. Set up was a little challenging for me and my son had to show me that I tried to plug it into the wrong place on my router. :( But once it was properly plugged in, it worked great!

Works very well, easy set up. There is a minor occasional echo, but overall, it works great and dropped my monthly bill to $4.08! The answering machine function that lets you screen calls is great too..can't do that with most voip. You can't beat that.
